Please save me!

I took another glass of drink in my hands and drank in one gulp. How many glasses have I drunk since I entered this dramatic place? My eyes were burning and I was sure the fire would not end even if I burned this whole place.

"Congratulations, young master, you have been chosen as a messenger of peace in the Forchesitier empire. I wish you a happy journey." a man came and bowed his head and the seething anger i was trying to hide, scalded my body again.

Before I could even think, my hands moved and I threw the glass that was on my hand on his forehead.

"Aahhh" he winced in pain as the blood started gushing out of the corner of his forehead.

"My lord, I beg you to control your anger. If his majesty came to know he would not let the matter go easily." said Runan, by my side as he looked at my father who was laughing and talking happily with the new family of their sacrificial daughter.

I took the bottle of wine this time and started drinking it.

"When did he let the matter go? Did he even feel any remorse for sacrificing his two children for the peace treaty that he could have through spending his treasure too.`` No matter how many times I tried to get the feeling out of my mind, it was clutching my heart more tightly and now I could not even breathe.

"My lord, you are not in your senses. Why don't you come and have a walk in the garden.'' He held my hand and started dragging me out of the hall which was decorated like fairy tales. The place was looking ethereal with so many flowers that whole walls were hidden and then the crushed gold and gemstone were used to sprinkle on the guests. So, everyone was shimmering like fairytale characters.

The food was served in dishes made of gold and each guest was given a necklace made of rare pearls.

"He made sure to show the world how powerful and rich he is! No matter if anyone is happy or not.`` I mumbled as I looked at the smiling faces of everyone. Each of them! Each of them had a fake smile on their face!

Runan almost dragged out my stumbling body as I continued to cry and chuckle at the same time.

"My whole life tumbled Runan! With his one decision, my whole life got ruined in one night. No matter how much i try i could not forgive him. How could he do this to me when he knew everything. I begged to leave me yet he did not bat an eyelid before throwing me out to that damn place.'' I still could not believe that it was really happening to me! Maybe.. Just maybe it was all a nightmare and everything would be fine once I would wake up!

"Yes! My father could not do this to me. It is all a dream, a nightmare!" I chuckled as I nodded with that assuring thought, "but why the hell does the pain feel so real? Why was I not waking up from this nightmare, Runan?" I grabbed the collar of his shirt and shook him hard.

"Wake up, Runan! Wake me up, now! It's an order!" I should but he did nothing except shivering. His face started turning white as if he was having trouble breathing and his words turned incoherent.

"Ha! Useless like always." i let him go with a stark and he fell on the cold floor.

He started coughing hard and rubbing his chest as if he had lost all the air from his body. His breaths were shallow and rugged but I didn't have the time to care about him.

"I have to get out from this bloody nightmare.'' I shouted as I looked around when my eyes fell on the decorated flower vases.

I moved towards one with hasty footsteps and hit it hard on my forehead. I could feel the wetness, and the metallic smell but I was still standing there.

The stubborn nightmare was not leaving me alone. So, I held the vase tightly and hit myself again. Once, twice, thrice..

I did not know how many times I had repeated the process when my eyes started to blur.

"My lord, my lord." I heard Runan shouting but there was a smile on my face as I was finally going to get rid of the clutches of this nightmare.

"Oh lord.. Your highness, your highness." he screamed like crazies as he ran inside the marriage hall again.

My body, which was dizzy from the start, lost its balance completely and now I was having trouble standing properly. I leaned on the nearby pillar to catch my rugged breathing.

A smile bloomed on my lips, but soon my mouth was filled with fluids that made me nauseous.

My gut wrenched and it felt like all the bile and drinks i have taken are coming back, making me nauseous.

I held my stomach from one hand as I felt the blood flowing all over my body from my forehead.

"Philip, Philip! Oh my son,. What have you done? Runan goes and calls the physician and knights this instant. Oh lord! Go!" I heard some strange noises and a blurry figure running towards me.

"Oh, son," one when the figure came much closer did I recognize it looked like my mother.

"Mother.."

"Yes, dear. I am here. Nothing would happen to you. Do not worry! My mother will take care of everything.'' I felt her arms around me and I lost my balance completely.

I fell on the floor and I heard her screaming again. She was speaking but I could not understand a word as I was too hazy.

I felt her moving my head in her lap. And more wetness felt over my skin but it was not blood.

"Mother. Please save me." were the last words before darkness took me away!
