RECREATING MEMORIES

Anshu said that there's a lake nearby, so she suggested that we go out for fishing. Everyone was okay with it, so we got ready and went for fishing. Aunty said that she was tired and asked us to go and she'll rest. So, uncle also stayed back with aunty.

We all went in a car. As Anshu know the route, she insisted that she'll drive. I asked Veer to sit in the passenger seat and Arjun and myself sat in the back seat.

The lake was very near to our farm house. We reached there within twenty minutes. Veer and I have never done fishing, so we don't know how do they do it. Anshu said, "Let's have a competition. Girls vs Boys, what's say?"

Everyone agreed to that, and we started fishing. Anshu and Arjun are fishing, Veer and I are helping them. After fishing for 2 hours, we decided to stop and go back. We were also very tired. We counted the number and we girls won the competition.

On our way back to home, I drove the car and Veer sat beside me. Arjun and Anshu sat in the back seat. As soon as we reached home, we retired to our rooms, to rest for a while. Uncle asked us to have coffee and go to our rooms, but seeing our tired faces he said that he'll send refreshments to our rooms. Such a sweet person he is.

By the time we got freshened up, along with coffee uncle has also sent samosas for snacks. After having them, we slept till dinner.

We woke up when aunty knocked our door, she was calling us for dinner. It was already half past eight in the night. We realized that we slept like logs for two hours. We would have continued sleeping if aunty didn't wake us.

We had our dinner and after dinner we decided to watch a horror movie. Everyone agreed except me and aunty as we were scared of horror movies. But they somehow convinced us to watch the horror movie. Aunty was sitting in between Anshu and uncle in a couch and I was sitting between Veer and Arjun in an another couch.

I was okay in the start, but as the movie was progressing as I was getting scared. Sensing my discomfort, Veer hugged me from side and caught my hand to give me sometime. After 2 minutes, Arjun has held my other hand. When I looked at him, he smiled and gestured me to watch movie and he's there beside me. I was touched by his gesture. After that I wasn't scared much, because I was feeling safe and protected with both the men sitting at my either sides. Whenever I was scared, their grip increased making me feel comfortable. By the time movie ended, I realized that it wasn't that bad watching a horror movie when I've these two men with me.

After that we retired to our rooms and slept. Morning Veer made coffee for everyone. We all sat in the garden under gazebo and had coffee along with biscuits. After having coffee we went to our rooms to bath.

Aunty made pancakes for breakfast, we finished having our breakfast and was about to get up, but aunty stopped us all and said, "We've a surprise to you all, be seated for two more minutes" and went to kitchen. After two minutes, she came back with a plate and it was covered, so we don't know what is there in it.

She kept the plate infront of me, I was shocked that why did she keep the plate infront of me. When I opened them, I was shocked seeing the contents in the plate. It has choclate cup cakes. I immediately took one and ate it, it was very tasty. I went and hugged aunty tightly and said, "Thanks aunty for making my favorite cup cakes. I really loved them."

But she said, "Save your thanks for others because I've not made them. Someone else have made them specially for you." I immediately turned towards Veer, but he gestured as if he hasn't made them. Then I looked back at aunty, she pointed Arjun. Then it made sense, yesterday I told him that Veer's mom used to make cup cakes for us and today he made them. He's so cute.

I hugged him and said, "Thanks Arjun, that's really so sweet of you." He said, "I've done nothing, aunty helped me in making them. I just wanted to recreate your childhood memories, and bring a small smile on your feces. I guess I've suceeded in doing so."

I nodded and hugged him, soon Veer has also joined the hug. We broke the hug, when we heard Anshu say, "Now enough of hugging, let us also taste the cupcakes." Everyone liked the cupcakes, Veer was also very happy. He hugged Arjun, again after finished eating them.

Then Uncle said, "Since Arjun has started cooking, so today afternoon's lunch we three boys are going to make and you girls can rest." Aunty chuckled and said, "I don't want you three to make my kitchen a mess. I don't have any problem in cooking." Uncle smiled and said, "You don't have to worry, we have Veer in our team. He knows cooking very well." I said, "Yes, aunty don't worry. Veer is very good at cooking. Veer make your special pasta, everyone will like it."

Veer said, "Today's menu is Chicken schezwan noodles, Corn soup and Creamy pasta. If you want anything for dessert, you can always tell us." Aunty said, "No need of any dessert. That's already too much for you to cook. But I've condition to let you cook." Uncle replied, "And what is that?"

Aunty replied, "You should let us help you." Then Veer said, "Aunty if you want Misti and Anshu can stay here with us, but you cannot stay here. Because the main idea is to give you rest." Aunty smiled sweetly and said, "That's really so sweet of you beta. I'm leaving but please don't make it a mess. If you need my help anytime, you can always call me" He replied, "Sure aunty."

Aunty has left and Veer started giving us instructions. He cooked when we all helped him. In between aunty has come twice to check whether everything was okay or not. But everything was good, so she left to rest for a while. After two hours, successfully Veer has finished cooking. We called aunty for lunch. Veer served aunty and uncle first and waited beside them for their reply. Aunty and uncle really loved everything Veer has made. Then we all sat down and started eating. We enjoyed the food a lot. Everyone was praising Veer, because they didn't expect Veer to be so good at cooking.

After Lunch, we sat down in the living room. Anshu said that Uncle plays harmonium really well. On our insistence, uncle played harmonium for us. After that we continued singing random songs and passed our time.

Soon it was evening, uncle insisted Veer to make coffee as he really loved it when Veer made in the morning. Though aunty was against the idea, because she didn't want to trouble Veer, as he has already lunch for us. But later she gave in, because all of us like Veer's coffee. Arjun also went with Veer saying that he wants to learn how to make coffee from Veer. After having coffee, we went out for playing bad minton. We four played, while aunty and uncle watched us playing. After playing for an hour, we went inside and watched tv, while aunty made dinner for us. We ate our dinner and went to rooms to sleep, because we need to leave early in the morning.

Anshu has slept but I wasn't getting any sleep, so I went to Veer's room and knocked his door.

Arjun opened the door, he was shocked seeing me, but he later he asked me to come in. When I went inside, Veer wasn't there in the room. When I asked Arjun, about Veer, he said that Veer is bathing and asked me what's the matter.

I replied, "I wasn't getting sleep, so I thought to stroll sometime in the garden. I came here to ask, if you guys will join me. Anshu has slept already, so I didn't wake her up and came here."

Arjun said, "Veer is in the washroom. He has gone inside just now. I think he'll take time. If you don't mind I can join you." I smiled and said, "No problem, we can go. But just a minute" I excused myself and went towards washroom and knocked it.

Veer shouted, "Misti what are you doing here at this time? Do you need something?" I replied, "No, Arjun and I are going out for a walk in garden. When you finish bathing, come find us." He shouted, "Ok, but be careful" I said, "Bye" and turned towards Arjun and gestured him that let's go. We was walking, then Arjun asked me, "Can I ask you something?" I nodded my head. Then He said, "How did Veer know that it was you who knocked the door." I smiled and said, "Because, crazy people like me only will knock wash room doors. And it's a kind of code for us. I knock it three times, so he understand that it was me." And he smiled at that reply and said, "You guys are really cute."
