Dark god's Vessel

I could feel a cool and sharp breeze rush across my pale white face as I stood under a large wooden dome that was inside of a very sturdy tree that had four key areas in the corners that were deeply rooted into the ground that is beneath me.

The area around me was starting to fill with a dark presence as the other blood elves started to chant in dark tones, and as I heard them speak the common tongue, I saw that their words take formation into elvish characteristics around me.

"Oh god of the dark arts, please accept this vessel that we offer you on this winter night where the veil between the dark and mortal plane of existence is at its thinnest." A tall female blood elf said as I saw her take off a dark hood and reveal her magical armor that had cracks where it seemed to glow with a dark red energy as she spoke. "Will the chosen vessel step up to the alter, and willingly offer themselves to our god."

After she stopped speaking in the common tongue, the others around me started chanting, and the elvish words began to form around me once again, granting me strength and confidence.

I advanced to the front of the group to where I was right in front of the alter, and the group closed behind me, which meant I was now past the point of no return in the decision of going through with this or not.

As I looked at the alter my body began to tense up because I had only observed someone else becoming the vessel for the god of the dark arts.

The rectangular altar was made of a much darker type of wood than the dome that was above it which made it stand out at first glance. The base of it was braced to the ground by metal tripod-like shapes that were small in mass and had elvish writing on them. This told me that the crafter of this alter had used advanced alteration magic and smithing techniques to make this alter. At the edges of it, I saw four torches that were lit with a dark red flame that was too dark to be a natural type of flame.

As I stepped up to the alter, the female in front who was leading the ceremony removed my dark robe and revealed my bare white skin, which not a single blood elf, including myself, reacted as if it was natural.

My skin was a pale white pigment that seemed to glow as the light from the nearby torches encountered it.

After my robe came off my body, the female leading the ceremony grabbed a white bowl that contained a pair of crushed black rose petals, and she made a shallow cut on the veins of her right wrist, which caused fresh blood to pour into the bowl. Then she did the same to my right wrist and as the two different bloods began to mix with the crushed black rose petals, I felt a shift in the air around me. It became difficult to keep my balance as if I was being forced down by an outside force.

A moment passed before she started taking the mixed blood and covering my key body regions.

She started applying the blood on my shoulders and went down my arms. Then she crouched down to my toes and went along the muscles of my legs to my thighs. After that, she took another dab into the bowl using her right index and middle fingers to continue covering me with the mixed blood. Next, she put the blood down my spine followed by my chest area and stomach. The final place that she put the blood was in the center of my chest where she drew a pair of circles.

When she finished, I saw the elvish script that surrounded me begin to merge with my skin. The text started black as if it was without ink, but it quickly turned into a dark red color as the mixed blood contacted it.

I felt a rush of power come upon me that made me feel as if I was currently the strongest blood elf in the region. I noticed that the only area that was not covered in red elvish text was where she had drawn the rings.

"Oh god of the dark arts we when completed the ceremony to prepare your vessel to receive you on this night." She said as she guided me to the alter and laid me down on my back.

An intense cold shiver coursed through me as my bare skin made contact with the cold wooden altar.

I saw her pull out a dagger and she trusted into the center of the blood circles on my chest. As she did, I felt the life from my body starting to fade away, but before I died, I sensed a very dark presence that filled me up with an unimaginable level of power.

My body started to rise from the altar, and I began to speak, but instead of hearing my female voice, I heard a deep male voice that I did not recognize.

"Why did you summon me here on this day? If it is for a stupid reason, I will bring a curse upon the family of whoever is leading this ritual." the male voice said through my body to all the blood elves that surrounded him.

I tried to move my body around, but it did not matter what I tried I was not able to control my body as if the second presence that I was feeling was the one in control at this moment.

"It is a waste of your energy to resist. You do not yet have the strength to be in control of your body when it has divine power coursing through it." I heard the same deep voice that was speaking out of my body.

Since I could not currently control my body, I chose to just watch and see what was about to unfold in front of me instead of trying to fight what was happening around me.

I saw that the only blood elf who was not currently bowing at the deity that had control over my body.

The female blood elf's skin started to age very rapidly as the deity walked around her. This told me that she using illusion magic to appear younger than she was.

"I am the one leading this ritual. The reason that I have summoned you from the dark regions is to help us with a military force approaching our borders. This force is too massive for our blood magic to give us an edge in this conflict.

We are offering you this vessel as payment for your aid. You can take ownership of her. Her life and soul now belong to you."

"Yes, I will accept those terms and you will most likely never see her again." The male voice said.

After he gave his response to the reason why he was summoned I noticed that the ground around my feet started to show a super complex magic circle that was made of a dark red energy. Then I noticed that my body was no longer at the ritual site and that I was on an open field where I saw my body cut itself again, and this time, as the blood began to contact the ground, the deity began to chant a phrase that I did not recognize in the dark god tongue.

As soon as he finished speaking, I saw the ground crack open and from the ground, I saw a massive multitude of undead rise and stand in front of me.

The undead army rushed towards the invading army and it was not long before the battle went entirely silent.

"There now that I have fulfilled my end of the summoning, I will take you to your new home."

As soon as he spoke, I was teleported to a dark castle that was surrounded by a barrier made of dark purple-colored energy.

The thought that the spiritual leader of my people was so willing to sell my soul to the god of the dark arts without any hesitation in her voice enraged me. If my body survives this ritual and makes it back to my hometown, I will kill them all.
