They say every villain is the hero of their story… They are wrong! There is no such thing as heroes and villains, there is just evil. Evil, cruelty, that’s all I know, that's the only thing the world has shown me… Maybe I am wrong… Just maybe there is more to this world, other than the evil and cruelty I was forced to endure, but that doesn’t really matter anymore. In this world, there are two types of equipment guardians and villains desperately try to get their hands on. The first are beast gears forged from beast cores and corpses. It was the most common among the two, but even then it was extremely expensive to make a beast gear out of a beast corpse, so the number of people who had access to this was greatly limited.
The second type of equipment was the type that was scarce even among countries, they are called Sealed Artifacts.
Sealed Artifacts were unique items scattered across the world with unique abilities. They were divided into three tiers, but even the lowest grade was worth more than the best beast gears.
The Enigma's Bastion Lucius got from Lei Fei was a tier one sealed artifact, but even then it was strong enough to suppress Lyxor and the raving madness of the Devour inheritance.
