Evil, cruelty, that’s all I know, that's the only thing the world has shown me… Maybe I am wrong… Just maybe there is more to this world, other than the evil and cruelty I was forced to endure, but that doesn’t really matter anymore. A man is a mirror of the world he has been exposed to… Since I have seen the greatest evil the world has to offer, it is only natural I show the world evil in return. Walking through the narrow tunnel of the cavern was irritating, especially since they were forced to listen to echoes of their footsteps all the way while waiting for traps to spring up, but there were none.
Being kept in a state of suspense and forcing them to keep their guards up at all times was extremely exhausting for Cherry and Illumi.
Soon they made it out of the narrow tunnel and entered a space clearing within the cavern, which was just a small resting place with countless more tunnel holes littered all over the place.
Unlike the dark tunnels, this open space was lit up by patches of bioluminescent fungi which provided dim, eerie lighting. These fungi emitted a soft, greenish glow, creating ghostly shadows that highlighted the cavern's natural beauty. However, the light was not sufficient for clear visibility.
