Born in a family anything but normal, Wu Xue managed to be even more abnormal. This is the ridiculous tale of an absurd life.
"Take care!" Wu Xue embraced his younger sister with affection, "Don't trouble your second mother too much, okay? I will settle accounts with you if you do!"
"Worry not!" Wan'er giggled, "I'm a big girl, I know what I'm doing!"
"Heh!" Wu Xue grinned and looked at Wu Ying, "Thank you, mother."
"Take care," Wu Ying caressed her son's face, "It won't be long before I come home."
"I'm waiting for you!" Wu Xue nodded.
Wu Ying then looked at Wu Yan and their eyes met, "I take good care of her, don't worry."
"Thank you," Wu Yan bowed slightly, "She always wanted to spend time with you."
"Is that so?" Wu Ying smiled, "I will make sure she gets her fun."
"Let's go," Wu Cang said, he had planned to go with them, "I will make sure to take this opportunity to spend more time with Wan'er."
"Be careful," Wu Yan hugged her daughter a last time, "Don't cause too much trouble to them!"
"I know!" Wu Wan'er seemed dissatisfied, "Don't you trust me?"
Wu Yan giggled and kissed her forehead, "I do, go! I will be waiting for you."
"Goodbye," Wu Xue waved to them and watched as they disappeared on the horizon.
"Thank you," Wu Yan looked at him and said, "I owe you greatly."
"You are almost a mother to me," Wu Xue grinned, "Second miss."
Wu Yan smiled and left the place.
Wu Xue went to his cave abode and started his preparations for the next step of his cultivation.
After a day, he began to try and use the Pseudo-Dao Integration technique in his soul.
Because the technique didn't detail the process and only mentioned the possibility, he spent the last year deducting how he could do that along with his masters.
"Suppress!" he muttered and his literary heart began to channel literary power into his soul, "Order!"
The character "Order" was directly imprinted into the forehead of his soul, something like a web began to surge from it and enveloped his whole soul, as if shackling it.
"Reverse!" he muttered and the character 'Order' transformed into the character 'Literary.' His pure literary power began to infiltrate his soul as it imitated his soul power, it was something possible for him since his inner literary path was 'Imitation.'
"Reverse!" he muttered again, and the character turned into 'Order' again, all his literary power turned into Order artistic conception.
His soul began to strongly reject the foreign power and he felt a huge discomfort, it was similar to pain but wasn't pain. It was more like unfathomable disgust that made him have the urge to puke.
"Suppress!" he muttered with difficulty, he kept his literary power from dispersing and tried to infiltrate his soul more deeply.
When he felt he had reached his limit, he reversed his literary power back to imitate his soul power, eliminating his discomfort.
He washed all his soul, from its depths to the surface, with his literary power, and then reversed it back to Order artistic conception.
That time he couldn't contain himself and immediately puked his gastric fluids on the floor, he felt his head almost turning into a mess of random thoughts, it was a sign of losing his rationality.
He resisted his urges to stop and kept his literary power within his soul as much as he could. When he reached his limit, he would rest a bit by reversing it to imitate his soul power again.
He kept repeating that process for a whole day until his soul began to grow used to it. It was only possible because it was Order, if it was another artistic conception he would probably have taken huge damage.
A characteristic of the Order artistic conception was it's power to harmonize all things and control all things, he could precisely control it to not hurt his soul, but discomfort was inevitable.
But despite his soul seemingly getting used to it, he kept repeating the process for a whole month, until he felt it was safe enough to take the last step.
"Masters, I'm ready," he took a communication jade and sent a message.
A few breaths later, Ru Meng and Xu Ling appeared beside him.
"How do you feel about it?" Ru Meng asked with a frown.
"I'm sure it will fail," Wu Xue grinned, "But I need this failure to perfect the method."
"It's too dangerous, even with us here," Xu Ling sighed, "You are a stubborn little brat."
"Thank you!" Wu Xue laughed, "I take it as a compliment!"
Ru Meng and Xu Ling exchanged glances and smiled bitterly, they knew their disciple very well.
"Let's start," Wu Xue said and closed his eyes, he began to urge his True Qi and channeled it to his brain through specific meridians, that part of the body was the most intimate to the soul.
Ru Meng placed a hand on his head and muttered, "Open!"
Wu Xue felt her mighty energy forcefully opening a channel between his Purple Palace Acupoint and the still unopened consciousness sea in his soul.
Xu Ling put her hand on his head as well and muttered, "Open!"
This time he felt an invisible power forcefully opening his consciousness sea, it caused him great pain and he almost passed out.
"It's only temporary," Xu Ling said, "Bear the pain."
Wu Xue then channeled his True Qi through the Purple Palace Acupoint directly into his consciousness sea, from there he spread his True Qi throughout his soul, he felt like thousands of bugs were crawling in his soul.
"Suppress!" he muttered, "Order!"
The 'Order' character in his soul's forehead glowed and a web of literary power covered his whole soul.
"Resonate!" he muttered with a dignified look, and his True Qi began to blend into the web of literary power, both carried the same Order artistic conception.
"Infiltrate!" he commanded and the web began to infiltrate his soul, he began to feel a bit of disgust but because of his previous experience, he didn't feel too affected.
"Flow!" he commanded and his soul began to be washed by both his literary power and True Qi. If it was another artistic conception he would have probably failed immediately.
Wu Xue maintained that state for an unknown amount of time, but his soul didn't show any signs of changing.
"I failed," he muttered and stopped what he was doing, he was about to pass out because of the pain of having his consciousness sea forcibly opened.
Ru Meng and Xu Ling took back their energy and Wu Xue felt a wave of exhaustion hitting him.
"Rest well, let's learn from this failure and try again later," Ru Meng muttered.
"No need," Wu Xue smiled, "I already know why I failed."
"Hoh?" Ru Meng and Xu Ling were surprised.
"I lack a catalyst strong enough," Wu Xue muttered, "The soul is not easy to change."
"A catalyst?" Ru Meng thought about something, "I wonder if a treasure that changes the soul is enough."
"The catalyst is the key to the change," Wu Xue explained, "My literary power can only imitate soul power, it can't change my soul from inside."
Xu Ling took a small fruit from her storage space and said, "This is called Desolation Cry Fruit, it has the effect of giving one's soul the ability to sense others' emotions and intentions easily."
"I don't want such boring talent," Wu Xue refused, "Can't you refine it into a medicine with only the catalyst effects?"
"Not guaranteed," Xu Ling shook her head and began to refine the fruit on the spot, she used her energy to melt it into medicinal liquid and added another few ingredients into the mix.
After a few minutes, a pill appeared in her hand, "Dare to try? You can end up getting a mutated talent."
"Don't joke around, master," Wu Xue took the pill without hesitation, "You should practice more, you can't scare me with those skills."
Ru Meng giggled and watched Xu Ling's expression darken.
Wu Xue meditated for a while and when he felt he recuperated enough energy, he said, "Let's begin!"
Ru Meng and Xu Ling did the same thing as before to him and he again circulated his True Qi directly into his soul along with his literary power.
He then took the pill he got from Xu Ling and quickly digested it. The medicinal effects of the pill were explosive and in no time reached his soul.
His soul seemed to have turned virtual as the medicinal power of the pill washed it, the Order artistic conception was finally beginning to truly integrate itself into its essence.
But as a side effect of his soul entering an extremely malleable and virtual state, Wu Xue lost his ability to think properly. Ru Meng and Xu Ling seemed to expect that and forcefully controlled the reaction that began to take place in his soul.
As if by instinct, his soul was beginning to show signs of rejection of the foreign power, but was powerless against the powerful medicinal effects of the pill and the joint efforts of two powerful cultivators.
Time passed quickly, and after a long week of constant metamorphosis, Wu Xue's soul returned to a normal state, and Wu Xue regained his ability to rationalize things.
He opened his eyes slowly and felt the changes, he urged his soul power and it was indeed different from before.
It was naturally integrated with his Order artistic conception, and even his soul was integrated with it. He could feel a huge change in his ability to sense changes in the Order, he felt he could control it way more proficiently.
He channeled his soul power above his power and saw that it gained the same black-and-white coloring as his True Qi. Normally, soul power was colorless.
"We succeeded," Wu Xue was extremely excited, "Thanks, masters!" He got up from the ground and couldn't help but hug both his master with a naive grin and genuine feelings.
Ru Meng and Xu Ling didn't know whether to cry or laugh but didn't stop him, they simply tapped his head and congratulated him.
"It won't be easy to do it to your body," Xu Ling alerted, "It will be way more painful than you could possibly imagine."
"I already decided to try my best," Wu Xue stopped embracing them and shook his head, "I'm motivated to succeed."
"Why don't try now?" Ru Meng suggested, "Let's use your joy as a fuel."
"I was intending on doing that!" Wu Xue laughed dumbly and sat on his cushion again.
"To be sincere, the only problem is going to be the pain, rather than the details," Wu Xue muttered, "With my soul transformed, I can control the Order artistic conception much more precisely."
He closed his eyes and urged four energies at the same time: his True Qi, his Soul Power, his literary power, and his Blood Qi.
He used his literary power and its characteristic 'Imitation' as a blender to temporarily unite the other three energies.
He then began to control his literary power as a ruler decreeing laws, "Merge!"
Throughout his body, the blend of energies turned into many small "Merge" characters and began to infiltrate his deepest marrow.
"Fuse!" he muttered and the numerous characters turned into "Fuse."
He began to tremble and feel indescribable pain, he couldn't imagine words to describe what he was feeling. He immediately lost control over everything that was happening.
Ru Meng and Xu Ling acted quickly and forcefully kept the blend of energies inside his marrow, but it also caused more pain to him.
He began to foam by his mouth and blood began to flow from his orifices, his bones began to crack and his nerves to twist.
Ru Meng and Xu Ling didn't stop his body's reactions otherwise it would only worsen things.
That process lasted extremely longer than they expected, a whole month.
His masters had to constantly maintain his vital functions while also keeping the blend of energies under control. At their level, it wasn't difficult or exhausting but could be considered repetitive enough to bother them a little.
Fortunately, all that effort wasn't in vain, they succeeded and Wu Xue's previous crimson-red Blood Qi was now black and white too.
His blood was still red, but it also carried very few strings of black and white.
