Training Schedule no.10

" Cadet Rudra, you know what's so special about training Schedule no. 10?"

I tilted my head in confusion. How bad can a physical training be?

" Swimming!"

What? Swimming, what's so special about it? Now I am even more confused.

" Now let's start Training Schedule no.10!"

She dragged me to the south end of the physical training section. A door appeared as she supplied a little bit of mana in the direction of the wall. We entered through the door and headed straight to what seemed like a large water tank through the dark corridor.

After reaching on the edge she pushed me into the tank. I am a level 0 user with low stats making me a perfect throwing bag for everyone.

Sigh.... once upon a time I had an Eight Ascension rank obeying me like a servant, now I have been thrown here and there by 1st Ascension Rank.

Erika pressed a blue button and a red button on a remote causing the wall to separate, the students standing outside became visible to me. They watched as I kept sinking into the water.

Wait.... why did she press two buttons to separate the wall?

I looked around to find if anything was wrong but didn't find anything suspicious. Suddenly something clicked into my mind, I looked down to get a better understanding of the depth of water.

A creature which looked like an oversized octopus with multiple tentacles stared at me as I sank deeper.

'I am fucked, aren't I?'

I swam as fast as I can to reach the surface, but the octopus like creature caught my left leg with its tentacle.

'Fuck, what do I do?'

The octopus extended another one of his tentacles and reached near my....

' What?'

' NO, my little brother.'

I tried to escape from the grip of perverted octopus but with my low stats I looked like a fool dancing around in the water. I threw my hands and feets around, but it was of no use.

' I don't have any attack type skill which can work underwater so I need to use my mana. Wind mana and shadow mana are of no use in here that leaves me with the choice of Death or Darkness mana. Death mana specializes in life force erosion and darkness mana specializes in corrosion.'

' From his grip alone, I think this monster is definitely above First Ascension. I need to use all of my mana with both Death and Darkness element if I want to get out of here. I need to finish this quick, I won't last much longer without oxygen.'

' With my limited mana I may be able to corrode his tentacle from inside.'

I resolved in my mind.

I put both of my hands on the tentacle which was playing with my little brother.

I fully concentrated my mind in channeling both Death and Darkness mana. It was really hard to wield both of the elements at the same time, but with my Superior affinity I managed to pull it off.

I used 100 of my mana points to channel Death and Darkness mana into the tentacle of the octopus.

Dark mana surged forth from the palm of my hands. The mana swirled around the tentacle, corroding and decaying it from inside as well as outside.

Kreeee....

The perverted bastard screamed in pain and cut off the tentacle to stop its body from being fully corroded.

It became mad with anger and stared at me with scary red eyes.

It focused on one of the tentacle and used mana to manipulate the water. Water swirled around its tentacle as it continued to expand the range of attack.

As the range of attack increased to a certain range, the perverted octopus used water blast to blew the dark mana away with me.

My vision blurred as I used almost all of mana.

' I used up almost all of my mana.'

Medical ward.

Ugh..

My head is dizzy.

I tried to move my arm, but-

" Don't try to move your body, you should take a rest."

Erika stopped my hand from moving. She looked gloomy and sullen which only made me feel guilty for no reason, so I asked-

" What happened?"

" I am sorry, It's my fault. I didn't know you were so weak."

She said in a teary tone, apologizing repeatedly.

I would have melted at her words if not for her apology which sounded more like an insult to me.

" It's alright, so what happened?"

" You passed out after the water blast. The president brought you out from the water tank. The medical team arrived quickly at spot because of Snow and here we are. You should take today off."

I guess, I should.

" Alright."

Erika got up from the chair and opened the door

" Take care."

She smiled a beautiful smile while waving her hand and left.

Thump thump.

'Damn she is a killer innocent beauty.'

" You can stop waving your hand, she is gone now."

A calm voice came from near the window.

" Woooah"

" Don't scare me like that?"

" You are not scared."

" What are you doing here?"

" Just came here to check up on you. From the looks of it, you are doing fine."

" Yeah, I am fine. I just need some time to recover my mana."

" Take care then."

Snow waved her hand at me and jumped out from the window.

" Careful..."

' Ugh.. I forgot this is a magical world. She will be fine.'

Haa..

Finally I have a little bit of time for myself.

When I heard that there is an academy on the planet seed just like in the novels, I thought of many ways to live my life.

Becoming a perfect extra or a cool protagonist or a badass villain or those reincarnated extras and third rate villains who acts all high and mighty with the knowledge of future, disregard life like it is nothing, think of themselves as a god or something, some become sidekicks, babysitters or the worst ones acts as a wingman, always whining about this and that, not realsing that there are others who have suffered worse than them, lived a life far more difficult than one can imagine, suffered pain worse than death, people who live the life of literal hell.

Sigh... I got a bit emotional here.

But thanks to the weirdos of my class, I realized something.

' Just live the way you want, without any restrictions.'

I won't view this world from the novels point.

I came here to become stronger, I came here to go on adventures, I came here to see what this world has to offer, I wanna know every mystery of this world, I want to live a life while experiencing all the aspects of life, I came here in search of friends, companions and comrades. With whom I want to venture this world.

This is the reason I am here or I would have stayed back on the Earth.
