Anticipation vs reality

The feeling of anticipation might be the reason why people get hurt. When you imagine that this is gonna happen the reality is different.

Hanan was coming back home from his school. Today his result is out. As he expected from himself...

it was perfect.

His scores were always perfect but he just wanted his parents to praise him.

Maybe because he was a child, every child wants to be praised after all. He reached home,

why was he feeling excited?

His parents are not home as always. They come late at night.

So he first changed his clothes and then prepared dinner and went to his room to study.

After a little while...He heard the footsteps, he stood up immediately with a little bit of anticipation and went to his parents to show his report card.

Both his parents looked exhausted but it's normal for Hanan to see them like this

"Father-Mother today I got my report card "

Said Hanan. Then he extended his arms to show the report card

His parents made their way to the room and said

"Good, work harder"

His parents said that, but in reality, they didn't even take a look at the report card.

Hanan body froze ....he had a blank expression ...he stayed there while his parents were already inside the room

Parents work all day long so they don't have any energy to even check the results

And since there was already a son who was so outstanding they didn't care about Hanan

Hanan's life was a bit complicated. He was a middle school student

He has a big brother and a younger sister

He was a middle child. His brother was a very outstanding person, an example of a perfect human being.

He was always compared with him.

His little sister was cute and very good at sports. From his childhood Hanan tried to gain the attention of his parents but with his big brother so good at everything he always looked not so talented. He worked hard in sports and study.

He was always praised by his teachers and classmates but it meant nothing to him

What mattered to him was his parents...but when he showed the report card to his parents they just said "Good, work harder"

Nothing else matters to him so he worked harder ....hardest he ever could....

But just how much more? I am just doing the hardest I can. Is this not enough? Why do they only care about his big brother and adore his little sister .....but what about him.... . ? I have already seen lots of things. Recalling a past vivid memory in the jungle he felt his heart ache. But soon he makes his way to his room.

Hanan who was trying his best felt his heart falling apart, all motivation was gone.

That day he stopped looking for his parent's attention

" I don't need to be perfect ",' There are people who are born talented. Sometimes hard work is not enough to beat that kind of person.

He was sitting on his bed when he saw books on the study table and then he slowly closed his eyes and he sighed....

He doesn't want to be in this room,

he wants to take some fresh air.

So he got up, and wearing his hoodie and shoes he went outside.

It was dark and silent, cold wind was blowing

The cold air blew his hair and it made his cheeks slightly pinkish. It felt good

His family lives in a quiet neighborhood. It was located on the side of the city. And there was a forest nearby. He was walking towards it.

He wanted to keep his thoughts in check but his mind was blank.

He was exhausted, not only with his body but also with his mind.

"Rustle "

He was just walking and then he suddenly heard a voice in the bushes

It was dark. No one was there but Hanan didn't feel a bit of fear.

He moved forward to check what was there.

Nothing was there

Then he heard a sound in his backside. Then he suddenly looked back.

But nothing was there again so he turned around again looking at the front in the bushes thinking what it could be.

He panicked

Because there was something this time. Then again he thought that he might have missed it the first time....

He came back home and went inside his room. He lay on his bed then he grabbed something from his pocket. It was a game console he found in the bushes. He bought that suspicious object with him, but he wasn't a bit suspicious of it he didn't know why.

He tried to turn it on, but the screen was all black. He thought that maybe new batteries were needed for it to work. So it just put it in a drawer

Then he tried to sleep but he couldn't sleep that night at all.....

Then the sun rises...

"Agh '

He didn't sleep well last night, he had big eye bags. He looked in the mirror.

There was tiredness all over a very pretty-looking face. Even though his big brother was more handsome than him, he was also quite good-looking. But in the end, he was just a kid ... Only fourteen years old...

He should go to school like he always does .. he always does ... But ...today was different.

He never skipped a day of school ..but since his motivation ...lost the reason to go was also lost.

Well, he can skip school all he wants .. nobody will question him ...

His parents go to work even before he wakes up. His big brother is studying abroad. His little sister is in another town to get a nice couch for kickboxing

She is staying with relatives

So nobody would care if he skipped school...

Today was the first day of his life he'd skip school

He just went out to enjoy his peaceful but depressing life...

He took his bicycle, no-one knew but Hanan secretly likes riding his bicycle

That day .. Hanan was clueless but his classroom was in uproar, everyone was wondering what happened. That bookworm, good-looking nerd took a leave?

Everyone believed that no matter what happened even if there was an earthquake or a tsunami... even if aliens attacked Earth or a meteor was coming to strike the Earth he would come. It is more important than his own life. Even teachers were surprised but since Hanan is an ideal student they can overlook it.

Hanan is riding his bicycle on the road which is as silent as his mind. But one thing was now bothering him. When he was coming from his room he felt that he needed to keep that game console in his pocket. Like something inside his mind is telling him to...

The feeling can't be described in words. He felt fear for some microseconds but now that he is riding his bike he is as calm as ever. He stopped riding his bike, now that he had reached his destination, not the destination that he planned to come to but the destination where his mind led him.

It was a lake...

It's his first time here, a huge tree was there beside the lake .. he lived there his whole life but never actually knew there was something like this.

An abnormal banyan tree...!

The scenery is amusing he sat by the lake closed his eyes and lay on soft grass. He was now asleep...

But something was flashing

It was the game console there was a string of light that was connecting the banyan tree and the game console.....
