Chapter 62 Eva's secret out....

Ben brought the USB with videos from Eva's phone and both were eager to see what message Era left,

But Ben asked,

"you said, you saw a cockroach in that bathroom, then why there was cotton dipped in blood, Eva, ?and why did you ask Era to clean it?"

That question was like a big hit to her, she was stunned, and her eyes popped out,

"What...!! what did you say?"

Ben was serious,

" what made you dizzy Eva? What are you hiding from me?"

she thought for a second, then said,

"I was scared, so I felt dizzy, it was dirty and I asked her to clean it, what's wrong with that?"

Ben held her tightly,

"see the next video, you'll know, what is wrong."

Eva run to the laptop and saw the message left by Era before fainting, it was the video in which Era said,

" I cleaned those blood cotton Eva, but I feel something wrong about this please leave this place as soon as possible"

Eva was speechless, Ben went near to her,

" Do you trust me?"

Her head was down and she was about to cry, he put his hands around her face,

"look at me Eva, don't you trust me?" he asked again.

"yes, " she nodded her head,

"then speak it out, Eva,"

Eva realized that her secret can't be hidden anymore,

"ok I will, but promise me that you won't tell this to anyone",

Ben pulled her near and said,

"I won't Eva, as long as you trust me, I'll never do that"

She closed her eyes to gain confidence,

"I am homophobic, I fear blood,"

she didn't open her eyes because she thought that Ben will be angry and shocked but, Ben hugged her,

she was surprised,

"It's ok Eva it's not a big deal, ... hooo... I thought it was something very serious, I was tensed, and see my hands are still cold", he said casually,

Eva opened her eyes,

" So, you are not angry, ...you are fine",

" Why would I be angry, Eva, it's not your fault, what did you do? I saw numerous patients in my career, who are phobic, but it doesn't mean it's their fault"

Hearing Ben talk supportive, made Eva relaxed. She hugged him back tightly,

"you don't know how nervous I was, thank you, Ben, thank you very much"

They both sat and Eva opened the door of her past before Ben, those things which she never shared with anyone, she was able to speak out before him,

"do you know how hard it was for me, ...she was laying in front of me covered with blood and I couldn't do anything, I kept calling her, grandma... but she couldn't respond, she was in great pain and, do you know what she said,"

Ben hugged her and asked,

"what..?"

"she said, close your eyes darling, don't see down, everything will be fine if you close your eyes, ...but nothing was fine she was gone, I tried stopping blood from oozing out with my hands but...it didn't Ben, it didn't....and she was gone..."

she started crying louder as if she was hiding the tears deep inside her... he didn't stop her, instead, he hugged her tightly.

"I never saw my grandmother's photographs after that, I can't, ...it was horrible, I can't think about that, ... it was hard for me to get out from that situation, I still can't see blood, I feel dizzy whenever I saw it"

"shoo..calm down, everything is over, ...see you are fine, and your grandmother will be happy to see you laugh, be happy...just calm down" consoled Ben.

They were like that for more than an hour, it was a quarter past one at night, Eva slept in his arms, he took her to the bed but she held his arm tightly so he sat beside her.

The next day morning, Eva opened her eyes in his arms but this time she felt comfortable being like that. Ben got up with a phone call and saw Eva smiling in his arms,

"so you are fine now, ...ahh my hand is numb and you are smiling?"

She got up and massaged his arm, he smiled at her and checked his phone,

"David...!!"

he called him back,

"Hello, are you fine?"

but it wasn't David,

"Hello, sir, please come fast, David sir fainted, "

it was the intern he appointed to take care of David.

" did you inform Dr.John, what exactly happened?" Ben asked,

"sir when I came to check on him at night, he was sleeping, but this morning when I tried to wake him up, he didn't respond, I didn't do anything, please come fast"

Ben got up in a hurry and Eva hurried too, they rushed to the hospital, to check on David. They tried to wake him up but David was unconscious, Ben asked his interns to arrange a scan and took him.

The reports were here, Ben discussed them with John but couldn't find anything problematic. They were confused, meanwhile, Eva doubted something and asked to run some tests on David, when she saw his reports, she was appalled... and ran to tell Ben, he was with John, she called him out, and said,

" look at these Ben, I was shocked when I saw it"

She found the same drugs in David's blood, which were given to Suzie.

Dr. John came out and asked,

"what is it, Ben? Is everything fine?"

Ben was about to tell him but Eva stopped him,

" Sir, it's nothing, I was here to show him a patient's report, I am done so I'll take my leave"

"no...no..you can take your time, well Ben I am going to see David, you can join me when you are done here," said John,

"Why did you stop me, he is my teacher, I can't hide it from him", said Ben,

" don't talk like a stupid Ben, it's not a trivial matter, the more he gets involved, the more he will be in danger", said Eva,

he thought for a while,

" then what now?"

"I just can't understand why David sir? is it some kind of warning?" said Eva,

They were confused about why David was given the drugs and by whom.

When they went to David's room, John already took out the drip and said,

"There is something wrong with the drip Ben ask them to check it, I smelt something different in it"

Ben went in and said,

"yes sir,"

Eva was furious, she was standing outside the room, thinking about what she could do now,

"how dare them? how could they do that? This is my limit and now I'll let them know theirs".

She took out her phone and called someone.

Jerry and Jenny came to the ICU, to see David and were panicked to see their mentor as a patient. Everybody in the hospital, we're concerned about him, Eva stopped Ben from informing David's family as she didn't want them to worry.

David was still unconscious but his pulse was normal now, Ben felt insecure so he installed cameras in the ICU. Eva was planning something secretly,

Who could be the one? and who did Eva call and what is she planning to do?...is yet to come.
