Chapter-46 Detective Eva... on duty...

Eva was in a confusion on how to escape , from David's house without facing both of them, then suddenly her phone rang, it was Steve, she received it,

" hey sweetheart, where are you come out I am here with the car and driver you asked, come faster,"

Eva's mind was blown off, she shouted, " aaahhh.....!!"

Ben and David came running to her, she was sitting on the bed holding her phone in her hands staring at them furiously.....,

"why does it have to be today .....ahh, I need to go ....now.." she said loudly.

David said ," ok fine , I'll drop you, "

Ben interrupted," why you , I'll drop you..."

she shouted again," call me a cab.....!!"

They rushed out,

David said ,

" you need a lot of courage to handle this,... better you give it a thought again"

they were talking about her standing outside ,

"thud..." a sound like something fell down came from the room, they both peeped in , it was Eva on the floor.

They rushed in again.

Ben's bearing ended there after settling Eva on the bed , he took David out of the room and asked,

" Now tell me ...what is going on David, why is she here and why did she faint, ....it's not the first time....I need an explanation...",

David understood that Ben won't be satisfied until he knows the truth, so he started telling him everything,

Ben couldn't believe it ....he stood up wandered around ....scratched his head ...then came back,

"So according to you Eva becomes Era when she wears the coat, how's that possible David....it's inhumane, impossible....no it can't be...there must be something else, "Ben said.

" It is true Ben, you can't change it...I personally experienced it....even I was shocked at first but it's true" David explained.

Ben sat down on the table in front of David with his head down and said,

" it shouldn't be David, ...it shouldn't be...." , Ben was very emotional ,

David asked,

" what's it Ben... what's wrong , do you mind because of me being close to her or its something else,"

Ben hit the table with his hand and said,

" Do you know the meaning of

having illusions ..it's not a common symptom David , ....I am afraid, ....."

David asked him again

," what do you mean Ben, what is it??"

Ben continued,

" I doubt there may be something to it..... which will explain her condition, better, "

David was confused ,

Ben said," I need to check it out".

They both were talking to each other. Meanwhile, Eva came out, and heard their conversation.

"Those are not illusions Ben , and please there is nothing wrong with my brain" Eva said seriously.

David was concerned about Eva after listening to what Ben said, they both were busy, talking about her condition. but Eva was concerned about her brother.

She asked Lara to control the situation there....but that was another problem of course.

Ben and David were deeply discussing about the doubts they have, Eva tried to stop them but they didn't, she then went out after saying bye , Ben rushed after her, "I'll drop you," he said,

"no..... thanks..... I'll call a cab " said Eva, he took his phone out and showed her a picture he took last night, and said ,

" What do you say news like this in the hospital bulletin, it will be great,"

it was a pic when she was sleeping on him, Eva was frustrated and tried to snatch his phone, as usual she couldn't ,so she took his lift.

Lara took Steve to the hospital arena, and was trying to kill time until Eva arrived. Steve got furious,

"What do you want Lara?Why did you call me?" he asked her after listening to her babbling.

Lara still don't know what to say...so to keep him busy, she asked,

" Steve ,do you have a girlfriend?"

he was shocked,

" What...!!??, Why did you ask that ?"

she knows that she is uttering nonsense, but her mind was blank, to think of anything else,

Steve asked again,"Lara , what was that for?"

in order to curl things up , she said ,

"nothing I just wondered Eva never told me about you having a girlfriend or dating so I was just curious about your taste...."

Steve was shocked to hear the reply, he was about to say something, Eva came running, and Lara escaped from there saying bye. Steve was still surprised, because he knew Lara from school, she never uttered this kind of rubbish before. He concluded that, maybe she is interested in him. He started smiling thinking about that.

Eva shouted at him," Steve what happened to you, why are you here? I asked to send a driver with a car, then why are you here?"

"That's because I can drive too and I know every part of this City, and the main thing is that I was curious about what my dear sister wants to buy....." he replied with a smile.

Eva's hope of being a detective was drowned.

She said ,"I don't want to buy anything, you can just go Steve",

she was going back to her room, Steve shouted,

"It was you, who broke the deal, it has nothing to do with me, you need to keep your promise, I will pick up you tomorrow"

Eva hang her head down and went to her room sadly very sadly , her phone rang, at an instant she was recharged, that call was from the detective Eva hired, she immediately picked up the phone,

"Hello ma'am it's me, I got wonderful news for you, please come to the usual place with the money we decided I am sure you are gonna pay me happily" he said and hung up the phone.

She was excited to hear that and hurried to there, she saw he didn't arrived , so she sat there waiting for him excitedly, David called her,

" Where are you?, Go and check on Era, I can't trust others , go and collect her reports from Dr John's office",he said.

"Which reports is everything alright, what happened sir ?" she asked unaware of Era's situation,

"When you're on bed yesterday, she was at the death door" ,he replied.

she was shocked, " what , why didn't you tell me?"

he said "she is stable now , so don't worry, and do as I say"

" Hello ma'am," Eva heard another voice from her back, and turned back.

That detective sat in the chair behind her and said,

" No ... don't turn back, I am leaving the details here, you can come and collect, and leave the payment there I'll collect that, I'll call you to talk, this case is not simple".. he got up from there and went to the washroom, Eva left the payment wrapped up in a paper there, and collected the details he left and calmly left the cafe, after a while he came out of the washroom and Collected the payment before leaving.

Eva was tense about Era and what that detective said. From there she went straight to Dr John's office, he was shocked to see her, because David never trust anyone in the case of Era , he gave her the report and said, about the details I'll discuss with David, she said yes and left from there, she went to the terrace and sat on the bench to go through the details, that detective gave. When she saw the file in her hands, it was only Era's reports, she was concluded ...that she left the detective's file in Dr John's office,

she rushed back , and saw that the room was locked, he went out.....she was out of her mind ... thinking what to do.....
