Chapter 40 The greatest surprise....

Eva was happy to be able to convince Steve but she doesn't know that she was convinced by him.

She was going to check on the patient who was operated in the morning, it was a routine check up, and on her way she met Ben, he was smiling at her , Eva crossed him without even looking at him, he was stopped her way, but she seriously stared at him, and left calmly,

he was confused and thought ' why is she offended, is it because I said yesterday that I was no jealous, or it is something else.

Eva walked away laughing, after seeing him confused.

she got a call, it was Jenny's call, "hey come to my room" she said.

Eva was expecting something and here it comes, " yes ma'am" she replied and turned back to return to Jenny's office room.

when she got there Kate left from there and Jenny was alone in her office, Eva knocked at the door, "may I come in ma'am",she said.

" hmm come in", Jenny replied.

Eva went inside and stood there calmly. Jenny pointed towards the corner table and said ,"Did you see those books , bring them here,"

Eva brought the books, and kept in front of her. Jenny took one of the book and marked at several pages, and handed them to Eva and said ,"these are some of the references for the surgery tomorrow, take it down and be prepared", Eva took sat on the chair near the corner table and started reading, Jenny started talking again, "That was great today morning , I never thought that you would be this good, you know, when I was an intern, I was always so scared of surgeries, I used to skip them often, but you are good,"

Eva was surprised to hear such a friendly talk from her, she just nodded her head.

Jenny continued," I know you feel awkward, but we are not school students anymore, I was a bully queen back then ,but now it all looks like a child's play to me,"

Eva couldn't understand and kept a frowning face,

Jenny continued, " hmm ...let me put it this way, actually I just wanted to forget about past thing and become friends, do you mind being my friend, don't worry about Kate, she is fine now ,at first she thought that it was because of you but her uncle explained her that there were so many compliments about her, so she decided to let it go,"

Eva sensed something wrong, but she is always interested in thing which are not straight , so she said ,"oh that is good ,I like to make new friends, and I won't mind being your friend",

Jenny got up from her chair and came near to her, and said," it's good to have you , let's hang out somewhere,"

Eva smiled and said, "ya sure let's go do that sometime,"

But Jenny was fully prepared," Why don't you join us today, actually Kate's boyfriend is throwing a party today for Kate's return, you know him right, Jerry, it will be fun ,"

" uhh ...that...today. ." Eva hesitated,

but Jenny has prepared her mind to take Eva along, " hey come on..... don't say no .... it'll be fun... you'll find more friends, ok so it's a deal , just go and get ready, I'll pick you up at eight..just go,"

Eva hesitatingly nodded her head and collected all her things and left the room.

She was in a dilemma, but thought, 'if I go I may find some more clues, I don't know what they're planning, what should I do,'

it was already six so she went back to her room and was thinking what choice to made. Thinking about Era she decided to take the risk but prepared herself mentally,

she picked a dress randomly and with a very little make up, she got ready to go, but with her charms she was outstandingly beautiful in that dress, and now she was waiting for Jenny's phone.

After an hour, Jenny called Eva and asked her to be at the gate . So she went there and was waiting for Jenny. Ben was off duty now and was going to his home, he drove his car out from the gate and suddenly saw Eva standing at the gate, he was mesmerized by her look, a simple yet beautiful sunset red colour dress swaying along her legs with a pair of matching earrings twinkling like stars, her hair bouncing and touching her cheeks, she was looking amazing, Ben's heart skips a beat. He took a long breath and move forward, he wondered for whom she is waiting.

A car came and Jenny waved her hand, Eva smiled and got in to the car.

Ben saw , that it was Jenny in the car, and was unable to sort it out, as per him they were never in good terms. he tried calling her but she didn't respond, he was tensed now. He sent her a message asking where she is ,she didn't replied. He started following the car but they were so fast that he missed them in traffic.

After a while Eva sent him a message, ' I am going on a blind date in 'THE DARKEST NIGHT PUB' so please don't disturb me, Ben was confused , blind date....in a pub...how could it be.

Jenny took her to that pub, they went in ,there were so many people inside, Eva can recognise some of the friends of Jerry who were his classmates and seniors to Eva.

Everybody were staring at her, Jerry was super excited to see her coming to his party, and came running to take her in, they sat on one of the sofa , Kate gave her a side smile ,and Jenny, Kate went to greet other friends.

Eva was feeling awkward now..but she endured it , they were all drinking, dancing and having fun but Eva was like a doll sitting in the corner, she noticed a man with a black jacket wearing a mask and a pair of sunglasses inside the pub ,was staring at her. so many men proposed to dance with her but she refused them .

Though Jerry was happy, but he can't dare going to Eva before Kate. Jenny came to offer a drink to Eva but she refused, Jenny insisted, so Eva took it and had a sip before her Jenny was now satisfied, it was a spiked drink, they were planning to drug Eva , Jenny introduced Eva to many of her friends, she noticed that Eva's glass was empty so she filled it up again.

It was already passed Eleven but the party was still on Eva was completely drunk now and they were planning to take her somewhere else, Jerry was drunk too and was busy with his friends...

Jenny and Kate carried Eva to Jenny's car, they were planning to leave her in a deserted place. They left her in the car and went back to collect their belongings, suddenly that man with the black jacket and mask came to her and took her away.

when Jenny and Kate went inside the doors of the pub were locked, and there was a police raid....every body were panicked. They were hiding themselves running back and forth to avoid police but everybody was caught.

After getting caught, they were hiding their face , but no one was able to escape. The police took blood samples of all those who were present in there.

Jenny asked the police officer, " it's just a party why are you creating troubles..we are not kids , we are all professionals",

That police officer replied, " we got an information that there is a illegal drug party going on here so we were here for a raid, and surprisingly we found a lot of drugs here, so miss professional kindly co-operate",

Jerry looked around, and asked Jenny, " where is Eva?",

Jenny's rotten mind worked again, she said deliberately," I don't know she was so drunk, I took her to my car , she is there now".

The police officer ordered one of his men to check the parking lot, he came back and reported that there was no one in there.

Jenny was furious now for failing in her plans ...but she kept thinking where did she go...
