Chapter-14 Detective Eva...

David sir wanted to keep his distance, as he was confused by Era(Eva )'s behavior.

So he decided to keep her away. As she had a scope on neurology, he decided to send her there to learn. He made so many arrangements for her and shifted her before time.

He accepted Lara and two more interns in return. He made the management do the changes early in the morning. Lara received the call in the morning asking her to join David sir.

He thought it was good for both of them so that Eva's feelings would not be hurt anymore.

When Lara received the call she came running to take the books, she was so unhappy to follow David sir as everybody knows him as a living robot. And Eva called him Mr. Freak because his anger is always at its peak. 

Era went into her room and brought the books she had and gave them to Lara.

The era was sad as well, both were in a bad mood because of David sir but one was sad about following him and the other about not.

Lara took the books and said

" I am sure you know that in the neurology department, you can follow Ben sir, don't even think of going to Dr. Kate, she is the most horrible person I ever met. I was in hell for these days. Now I have been transferred to another hell, of course".

Era was irritated by her words; she had a problem with hearing anything about David sir, but she couldn't express herself because she is 'Eva' right now. She knows how Kate is, more than anyone else.

Lara left saying that. When Era got back inside, she was not in the mood to go to work so she wrote everything to Eva about the change of department, Lara, and also about Kate and her past with her.

She was Jenny's best friend and they both were heartless ones back then. They always made trouble for Era. Era wrote,

"the neurology department will be safe for you as there are fewer casualties, and interns are not allowed to operate or assist in their first year so you will be fine there and you won't need me. I can't show you how I am feeling right now, I need a break... Please don't call me unless there is an emergency, of course, I'll be there for you anytime but try to manage without me and be aware of Jenny and Kate, don't get involved with them. They can go to any extent", now she removed her coat. 

Eva read her letter and thought,

"Maybe she needs some space..and maybe it's a good thing…I can concentrate on my work I can find the owner of the pendant…but wait, I need to follow Ben.. no ..no way  I must find some other options. Ya 'Kate', don't worry Era I am not the one getting a hard time but I am one of those who gives hard times",

She was ready for her mission for revenge now.

She wrapped Eva's coat and placed it in her bag just in case she would need it. She wore her coat and got ready to go to the hospital.

When she reached the hospital, she first went to the thoracic department but then she remembered and went to the neurological department.

Ben was eagerly waiting for her as he knew that she would join him but Eva had her plans.

She went to the neurological department and signed her duty under Kate, Ben was staring at her but she didn't care. She gave him a sarcastic smile and passed by.

He knew Kate's character, so he was sure that Eva couldn't stay there for more than one day. There were two more interns other than Eva who joined Kate.

Another three of the interns joined Ben. He was a little disappointed as he was confirmed that Eva would join him. Eva went into Kate's cabin with the other two interns. She was a fair, good-looking lady.

They all greeted her and asked for their task today, she talked very friendly and gave them their task respectively. Eva thought "She is not like how everybody described her. She is so friendly ",

Kate gave her the task of checking and organizing reports of the patients. It was an easy job, and Eva was very good and fast in such jobs. So she was happy to follow Kate.

She completed her work so fast and submitted it to the record room and was out on the terrace to get some air, there was a beautiful corner in the terrace of that department, and she felt so good going there, it was filled with small plants and so many colorful flowers.

Eva felt so fresh going there. She was standing there, enjoying the freshness when someone came near to her and said

" I knew you will be here, do you like it?"

Eva was shocked at once and was about to fall, it was Ben, he hold her hand and grabbed her in his arms, and said

" see you always need me and I am always at your service..".

She hold her smile and said

" Sir, don't you have anything else to do, you said, you are here at my service but actually, you are here to make trouble for me !! "

after saying that she walked away. Ben shouted,

" you made a wrong decision, and you'll regret it... I'll be always there for you, don't forget".

Eva heard it and was now smiling and blushing.

She went straight to Kate's cabin, to get another task. Kate was busy painting her nails, and Eva was shocked to see that.

She asked

" hello mam, do I have any other task? ",

Kate looked at her annoyingly and said,

" just go, I don't have anything to your level now".

Eva was furious to hear that, she thought,

"what? ... my level what does she mean by that? "

but couldn't say that out now she gets the point why everybody said she is horrible.

But Eva is no ordinary, she said

" ok mam I'll just go then, when you get something off my level you can call me anytime"

and she left casually. Kate thought, " I thought she is easy to handle but Jenny was right, she is something ", Eva went out and thought "everybody here, has some problem in their brains... I was doing fine with Mr freak ... why he did do this "

She sat on a bench and her phone rang, it was Kate,

"where are you? I have a task for you"

she said.

" yes ma'am I'll be there "

Eva answered carelessly.

She went back to Kate's cabin and entered,

" don't you have the minimum manners to knock before entering?"

Kate said she made up her mind to give Eva a hard time. Eva went back and asked

"May I come in ma'am? "

Kate saw her seriously

" Are you kidding me, do you think you are a school kid? look don't ever try to play smart with me, get in.!! "

she said rudely, Eva entered the room acting innocent

"yes ma'am"

Kate pointed towards the floor and said,

"Did you see that it's all messy here, they didn't clean it properly ... just clean it before leaving... I think it is of your level "

she took her phone and purse and was planning to go somewhere "uh. I am going to have my lunch, you better make it done .. "

she said and left.

The room was clean when she left before and now it was deliberately made a mess, just to irritate Eva.

Eva was measuring her extent, she thought

" How dare she ...is she serious... she asked me to clean her room.. is she a princess here... what the hell.... ok fine I'll do this in my way.. you will regret it ".

She went out and called for the cleaning staff, and asked them to clean the room. They came and cleaned it all while cleaning one of them found an earring under the chair.

They gave it to her. Eva looked at it carefully, it was a diamond earring, and it looked very familiar to her as if she saw it somewhere.

She kept thinking... suddenly she remembered ' yes, it has the same design as the pendant that means the pendant belongs to Kate? and the one who's related to Era's disappearance is her? '...
