Chapter- 32 David's masterplan...

David was planning something to confirm his intuition, that Eva becomes Era sometimes. He kept some files on the table, those were files from two years back, when Era was his assistant, and one of the case was about that lady ,due to which Era was suspended. When Eva was on her way to his office, she was tensed about what task he'll give now. She thought, ' Mr Freak, is really unpredictable, we never know what he is upto,.. why did he call me in such hurry , what happened that day...🤪the notes... oh how could I forget about the notes he asked Era to prepare.... what should I do now... yes Era can handle it better.. 😁😁' , and she wore the coat , after writing a brief note. She couldn't explain anything about Ben in a hurry but wrote clearly, to avoid Ben no matter what. David was eagerly waiting for her, the door knocked, he said "come in" .It was Lara , he sent her to assist Jenny with her surgeries, Lara went back with a sad mood . Now the door knocked again, he said " come in " , it was Era in Eva , he shouted at her, "what takes you this long.... why were you late?", she silently came in and politely said, " Sorry sir I'll take from now on.." ,her response gave David's first answer, different behaviour, ....he asked her to go through the files kept on the table and write a brief notes. David sat on his chair and Era went to the sofa with those files, and started reading. He was keenly observing her, he put off the AC and switched on the fan. While she was working, her hairs started coming on her face because of the air from the fan. Eva never ties her hair no matter what but Era hates disturbances while working, so she took a pencil and tied her hair with it , it confirmed his second answer. David stood up, went near to her and asked something about the cases , " so which case are you studying now, oh that old lady's case it was a very rare case of heart failure, isn't it" he asked, she answered " yes sir, it was, it is written in here" , he was a little disappointed , because he thought she would say something else, then next he continued , " you know back then there was a huge problem regarding this case, after her surgery, someone injected potassium chloride in her drip, she was at the edge of death when I arrive, I just can't believe my intern would do that", he was curious to see Era's reaction, she was upset remembering the case and said, "sir do you believe in your intern or you thought that it was her? "she was very serious, he replied " well I was sure that it was not her , I helped her collecting all the evidences that could prove her innocence, but I never thought, she would let me down like this... uhh I believed in her but she didn't even showed up in the enquiry meeting", he was very serious, he deliberately said those words to see how she responds, he continued "The trust I gave to her, the efforts l made for her.... everything was in vain. W hy would she do that, if she was not guilty?, "she may have some difficulties...., sir...!! you should not say it..., if you don't know" she shouted emotionally , it was what David was waiting for,..he continued, " what!!? what will be more important than proving herself right, you know how deliberate , how desperate I was, you know how much I struggled to get those evidence, I was fighting like a fool with everyone just for 'you' and what did you do? you made me a fool...!!! " Era forgot about every thing around, listening to him deeply and said immensely " sir , l couldn't show up...!! because... because I was locked in there... in that cold and dark room for the whole night..!! "she started crying 😭😭 with sadness, with desperation, she couldn't speak any further, David came near to her and hugged her tightly, she came back to her senses, are realised that, she made a huge mistake...!!, David was waiting for this so much that he couldn't control himself....he said, "l know it's you... I know its you Era ..!!", Era was devastated, she couldn't think of what to do ... she pushed him and ran out of the room. She ran out of the hospital and sat on a bench in the arena. She cried a lot and was terrified. She couldn't think of, what to do... she was so tensed, and went to her room. Now all that she could think of is 'Eva , only she can clear this mess ', she wrote everything to Eva and removed the coat. Eva came back relaxed as if she had a good sleep 😴💤, she saw here and there and couldn't figure out why she is in her room , her eyes are wet and swollen as if she had been crying for a long time. She started worrying about Era, 'Did something happened? I am sure Mr Freak 😈 must have freaked out again and gave her a hard time, oh...Era... you are so emotional... ', she saw her dairy and opened it, there was a big letter written by Era, she started reading... Era wrote everything, about how David sir tricked her to confess everything, Eva was frustrated, 😤😤, she thought' I knew it ...!!...I knew Mr Freak would definitely cause troubles.... uhh ', , she started reading the other part , Era wrote, .....after I said everything out l couldn't stop crying, and he hugged me tightly, ... Eva was shocked, 🤪😱, hugged her....!!!, ' W...W.. What... hugged her... that means hugged me..... aahhh..... what is this .. how could he do that...?... '🤪😬😱😱😵, she was gone crazy....' wait ... even though, she was Era , but how could he do that...😤😠, I would have punched him if he did that to me..,' she continued reading, .... my mind was blank, I was unable to think....I pushed him back and ran out of there, I don't know how to deal with it, I am sorry I made a huge mistake, I made a big trouble for you, please Eva forgive me if you could... tell me what to do now, I will face everything for you,..... Eva knows that it was not her fault.... but even she can't think of any ideas to get out of it. Meanwhile her room door knocked, she opened it, the caretaker was standing there, she said " someone is hear for you , he is waiting in the that room " and left , Eva was surprised now 🤪🤔...' Who could it be , Is that Mr Freak 😈..? if so what should I do...? What is this...? what to do?... ahh.. let's just face it , ... he hugged her 😣, ... well that means he has good intentions for her ...,so I think it's better to tell him the truth, and may be I can get some new clues to find out, what happened to Era? '. .. she thought that and went to that room for meeting him , but .. it was Jerry... !! she thought,😏 ' uhh I was expecting Mr Freak 😈 and here comes Mr Beast👹, ' she was about to leave, but stopped because he helped Izzy back then, that means he had a little humanity alive in him somewhere , she got in and said annoyingly, " what is it Jerry?, do you want something, what now? " ,... he came near and was about to hold her hand, but Eva pulled it back,... he said, " it's ok, I know you don't like me, and I made your life hell back then but, that was past, it's true that I loved you so much that even now I can't get over you... but I am trying... please .... it doesn't have anything to do with my career... please don't mingle my personal character with my professional career, please I beg you.. " Eva couldn't get what he was saying, she asked him," wait ... Jerry I can't understand what you are talking about.... what do you mean by this? " ... Jerry looked at her, and said, " You don't know,..!!. didn't you tell David sir about us, yesterday, and you were about to complain to the police officer, but sir stopped you ," .....Eva was shocked to hear that, " David sir... what are you saying Jerry, why would I ? and why him?", he continue," I know Eva I am not good enough for you but I am a good doctor, and I am quite professional in that ... please don't spoil it , I won't bother you again.", he said that and was about to leave, but Eva's mind was cooking something else , she stopped him and said, " I really don't know what you are talking about Jerry , but I know that you are changed now , when you helped lzzy , lets just be friends Jerry , I know you are Kate's boyfriend, but I didn't do anything intentionally back then, I hope you can understand," she said that so friendly, " Jerry said ya... sure I would love to be your friend, And about kate I know how she is, so don't worry, ...just chill, so I'll get going.... bye", she sent him off, with a big smile. He left happily. But Eva's crook mind was in action now,..... 😜😈😏😏...
