Chapter - 36 The Broken heart.....

Ben kept the lunch box and water bottle, he brought for her, there and went back.

Era asked David ," sir is that Ben sir , the new neurosurgeon, why is he here and why was he so sad ,"

David rushed and said, "I'll be back , I'll tell you everything when I'll come back ",

he followed Ben to explain everything, but couldn't find him anywhere, he also called Ben but he didn't respond. David searched for him at every possible places, but couldn't find him . David went back to Era , as she was alone there. He thought that he can talk to him later and explain everything.

Era was eagerly waiting for him, to ask what happened, but David don't want her to get stressed any more and asked her to rest , and left .She removed her coat and Eva was already so tired, so she slept instantly.

Ben was heart broken, he was so sad and angry that he didn't want to meet or talk to anyone. He went straight to his car and stood there for a while, he started hitting his car , with his hands and legs to vent his anger.

When he was able to control himself, he decided to leave , but someone called ,"excuse me", it was Steve. He came near to Ben and asked " Hello, can you please tell me? how can I get in to meet someone from the hostel? please it's urgent", Steve saw Ben's face from near and said " hey ...!!we met before" ,

Ben said, "Are you here for Eva? if so ,she is not in the hostel ?",

Steve was surprised, " hey ,how did you know,...I am here for her? and by the way , what do you mean she is not here?",

Ben said, " I know you are her brother, she fainted and was taken to the ER but don't worry ,she is fine now, it was just because of stress , go and meet her in the ER, room number, three."

He sat in his car and left silently. Steve was shocked to hear that Eva fainted again. He rushed to ER. When he went to Eva's room and saw inside, she was sleeping on her bed with a drip, so he didn't wake her up, and sat on the chair beside her bed, he was tensed. It was her little sister and he is quite sensetive about her. He stayed all night there.

In the morning Eva got up and saw Steve sitting beside her,

she waked him up and said, "Steve when did you come here?",

he wake up and saw her ,"Are you fine what happened to you, is this how you take care of yourself, let's just go to home now, I don't want you to be like this" he said.

" hey I am fine... don't worry ..but, why are you here? and how did you know I am in the hospital?", Eva asked him,

he looked seriously at her and said, " I have been calling you since yesterday morning, even Dad called you several times, where were you ? where is your phone? I was worried sick , so I called Lara at night, she didn't picked her phone either, I was about to get here, I was worried, when I was here to meet you, I met some doctor out side he told me, that you are here",

Eva was shocked ,"did you asked someone , about me? they could have recognised you? why?every body knows you",

" Ya .. that man...., he knows that I am your brother, Did you tell anyone?", he asked,

"who could it be? ... oh.. may be that's Ben, you didn't recognised him?"she asked him,

" who's that? do I know him?"he asked,

Eva stared at him and said," So Mr Steve you didn't saw the photo you sent to me" ,

Steve got the point and said" oh... so it was him that blind date",

she closed his mouth with her hands, " Hey Steve, look I am fine don't make it hard for me",

" ya, fine,... just give me an answer, and I'll go.... dad will be waiting for it" he said with a smile.

Eva was furious now, " so ...I ended up in a hospital here just because of the stress you guys gave me and you want an answer...uhh what a family" she said annoyingly.

Steve started laughing, he was about to say something, they heard someone coming there , so Eva got up and went to the door, it was David.....who was on his way to her.

She was stunned, .....she came back to Steve and asked him to leave," just go bro .... I'll call you later" she said and pushed him out of the door.

Steve saw David and covered his face with his hand and passed from his side.

David came to check Eva , she was sitting on her bed smiling, pretending to be normal.

David saw her and asked," so you are awaken, you look fine , then you can leave the hospital now,"

Eva said, " Yes sir I am perfectly fine now I'll pack up and leave, you don't worry , sir" she said smiling weirdly.

He actually came there to explain about Ben's matter, but it was a little awkward, and she was acting weird, so he couldn't do that, " ok pack your things and let's leave , I need to talk to you later, let's go to the last room". She thought that it may be something about why Era fainted,

" want to talk ..what !!??"she asked curiously,

David said seriously,"I don't like repeating myself"

,Eva thought, ' Mr Freak 😈 is back' and said " yes ,sir".

She packed her things and followed him.

Everybody in the hospital were looking at them weirdly, staring, gossiping, David never gives attention to these things but Eva felt it weird. They both went to Era's room, he checked Era and asked Eva to sit on the sofa ,she was desperate to go back to her room , he came to her and sat there.

She noticed that David was hesitating for something, she asked, " sir , you said you wanted to talk to me, what is it ? ",

He was confused where to start , so he asked," what is going on between you and Ben , are guys in a relationship?",

Eva was shocked to hear that," no... ,not at all, Did he say something," she asked curiously.

" No... it's not that, I saw him concerned about you yesterday, and so... don't you think we should tell him about this," he asked.

Eva was shocked," what ? why? no way , he'll take me as a ghost, no way I can't afford that,"

David was surprised to hear her response, he tried to convince her, and said ,"see Eva he'll be a help, I know him , he is not that kind of man",

Eva looked at him surprisingly and asked ," sir are you here to say something?or do you know something?", she thought that David might have heard about the blind date, from Ben and now he is here to talk about it. So she stood up and said ,"Sir I am so tired to think about that , I think I should go now ",

David was thinking how to say, she was about to leave, he left with no other choices, so he said directly, "Eva, Ben is really upset , because he saw us together",he kept his eyes closed and head down.

Eva was confused ," what do you mean sir ? when and what do you mean by together?",

He continued, "yesterday Era fainted because she had flashes about her past, I was just consoling her , he came back with food for you and saw me holding Era in my arms",

" oh... so..why was he upset?" she thought for a while and shouted "That's not Era.... that's me.....that's my body ...I told you....how could you...???", Eva shouted with anger.

David closed his ears with his hands for sometime, until she's done shouting, "I am sorry Eva but she was so frightened, I just wanted to console her ... that's it..I am really sorry , look I know Ben very well he was never like this ,he's serious about you, we should explain to him I don't want to lose a good friend, just because of a misunderstanding",

Though Eva was furious, but she know David would never take advantage of her, so she cooled down a little and said ,"ok fine, you are the one to create this trouble so you'll be the one to clean it up" .

David was happy to hear that and said " thank you, Eva ,I never get close to anyone, I only have two people close to my heart other than my family, that's Era ,Ben and its you too, thankyou.." .

That was so emotional , Eva was almost crying but she controlled herself.
