Earnestine Blanchard's POV

A week after Rhett woke up, Aunt Amelie called me. They said they had already talked to Rhett. And they explain everything about our relationship. I said I can go to their house so I can meet Rhett.

I nervously rang the doorbell of Rhett's house. His parents decided that he would live here while recovering. The maid opened the door for me and let me in.

"Oh ma'am Earnestine, go ahead. Ma'am Amelie has been waiting for you for a while."

I went inside their house. Very nice inside. Stunning to behold.

"Earnestine, are you okay? It looks like you just got in here for the first time, right? You are always with Rhett every time we have a family dinner."

"Ah eh, I just can't help but be amazed. Even though I've been in it many times."

"Ah is that so? Come on Rhett is in the pool."

Aunt Amelie accompanied me to the pool. And Rhett was there. I couldn't help but look at her Adonis-like body as she climbed into the pool. He was so attractive in that spot.

His body was perfect for a bench body model. Her beauty.

"Hey ?!"

"Huh?"

"Quit staring. You're creeping me out."

"S-sorry."

He lay down on the sun bathing lounge chair while I sat on the nearby chair. We were seated at a table with only food and drink.

"Mom said you were my fiancé. Is that true?"

"O-oo."

"Then prove it."

"Huh?"

"Are you deaf? Or do you not understand English? I said prove your fiancé."

I showed him the engagement ring he gave me. It is a 24 carat diamond ring.

"You gave it to me as an engagement ring."

"Seriously? I mean why? What did I like about you and I invited you to get married?"

His harsh. I was hurt by the way he treated me. Especially and he questions our love.

"H-honestly I don't know. M-we've been in class since elementary but we were enemies. We just became close in 4th year then you courted me and we became in a relationship after gradation. We were classmates in college and still in a relationship. Then on the day of our graduation you proposed while saying your graduation speech as magna cum laude. "

"Do you have any proof besides the story you are telling and that engagement ring?"

I nodded. I actually brought them to show him. I handed over the paper bags containing our diary and photos together.

"B-read the dairy. It has everything written about you and about me. This is the key. And the photos, there is a caption and date written on the back."

"Ok. You may go."

"H-huh?"

"I said you can leave now. I'll tell Mom to call you if I'm convinced of what you are saying."

Against my will I was forced to leave. Aunt Amelie greeted me as I left the pool.

"How was it? Are you okay?"

I smiled hard.

"He will tell you if he is convinced by what I said."

Aunt Amelie hugged me.

"I'm sorry sweetie. Maybe soon he'll remember you too. I'll give your number to him."

"All right."

I was just quiet when I got home. Mom did not ask me a question. Maybe he noticed that the result of my visit to Rhett was not good. I could not sleep because of my conscience. I remember the accident.

This is really my fault. And it was very painful to punish me.
