" What happened next grampa?" Asked the young girl. Half her face was covered with a blanket. He looked at her and patted her head. She was just like His daughter he thought.

"Roar!" A earth trembling sound came from it's mouth causing the dust to be blown away as its tails lashed out into the air. voice's full of dread and fear shouted " It's the nine tails!" Many civilians that were around started to flee as many of the village ninjas that were around the area sprang into action.

His vain became more visible as his skin turned a shade of purple (60 percent). Hearing the shouts of a girl he Rushing forward towards the sound. there he arrived just as a building piece had broken free, and falling down towards them.

while holding onto to the baby in one arm he slammed his fist into the falling piece of building that was about to crush two children and a baby. Smashing it to rubble, before landing softly on the ground. as he turned to look at them he could finally tell who it was.

"Fugaku's kid, it was Itachi right" he asked just to verify. The young boy nodded while holding a baby in both arms. as for the person next to him was his one of his students children. " Izumi right? Normally I'd ask how your family is doing but given the current situation I'll have to skip on the pleasantries." the trembling girl gave him a nod as well.

Looking down towards the sleeping child in his arms and back at the girl he came to a decision. " I need you to do me a favor Izumi, can you look after her while I deal with this" he asked while motioning towards the baby and then towards the great large fox. She nodded and he handed her the baby.

" Now both of you get to the emergency shelter" were his final words to the before zooming of towards the Nine tails.

It was on a rampage destroying buildings and crushing ninjas. As he got closer he had to watch some of the ninjas die as its tail slammed them into the ground. On his side one of his old students appeared. It was Izumis father, Kira Uchiha.

He was a relatively tall man standing around 5'8 while having neck long black hair. with black bangs over his head band. His eyes were spinning with only two tomos. "Sensei their sending all of the Uchihas to watch the border of the village." he said in a annoyed voice.

What the hell was the third and fourth thinking was the only thing going through his mind. As they reached the nine tails the had to dodge to the side to avoid it's paw crushing them. they were trying to force it out of the village with the third. where was the fourth, that boy wasn't one to ignore such a problem in the village. which means something else was going on. "Water style Great water ball jutsu!" He shouted as his hand moved fastly in each sign before deeply inhaling and spewing water from his mouth with great force. As a second voice next to him shouted. "Fire style Great fireball!" Both jutsu Crashing right into it's paw as it was about to stamp down on a group of ninja. Thankfully nothing caught fire around them, as he look up towards the beast, he noticed that it has three tomos in its eyes. "Kira I think the nine tails is under genjutsu" As suddenly he was pushed forward. Turning only to see his students being impaled by a tall and thrown to the side.

As he rush towards Kiras side the man was missing his lower half. "Sen-Sensai there something I need to ask you...." cough cough

"Shh now's not the time for that" he said as he tried to come up with any possibility of saving him.

"Sensai Is... Is"

A chuckle was all he could give as he looked at the sleeping form of his granddaughter. "Rest well little one" placing a kunia next to her before slowly making his way out the room and turning off the lights. As he made his way down the hall the memory of that night finished playing in his mind. He now know who her father was, and that her half sister was his part of his team 15. Tomorrow would be Ayumi's Third birthday and all the girl wanted was to go to the park.

He sighed, well at least he wouldn't spoil her like the other family's tend to do to there heirs. maybe she could some how befriend Naruto. He wasn't sure how the outrages rumor came to be but he had been swore to silence on that by Lord third. Never had he felt as useless as he had for the pass few years. But he would change that. Since Ayumi would finally be able to do some light training, he would make sure she wouldn't lose to anyone in her age group. That is if her body could handle their family techniques.

For now first thing he would have to do is help her overcome her shame of there eyes. It had come to his ears that many of the village children had been made fun of her because of that. He was never one to anger easily however kakashi had been near by at the time and had managed calmed him down. Just one more year and he could retire from active duty. And spend more time with his granddaughter.
