Secret lab

"Argh!" Elizabeth groaned and tossed around before stretching with a wide yawn. Her head throbbed and her eyes were foggy from crying herself to sleep, but her heart was calm and her mind was at peace.

She stood up and walked to the kitchen. Layla left at night after successfully patting her to sleep. She opened the fridge and took out the flask that was inside, she remembered Layla telling her that she prepared a meal.

"Is this my treat? A meal for my secrets?" Elizabeth's voice was muddled as she joked to herself. She put the meal in the oven and sat on the counter.

"I should probably take a vacation." She muttered but then she remembered something…she has to search the scientist's apartment today.

"Ah! Dammit!" Her blurred sight immediately cleared up and she took out the food. Without bothering to brush her teeth or wash up, she ate everything first before freshening up.

She drove to the station first to retrieve her phone.
