Chapter twenty one: Accepted

about a week later when y/n entered her classroom, surprisingly others were no longer talking about her. they were distracted by 'someone' else.

curious about what had happened, she overheard a group of girls talking. "Have you seen that new guy?!?", another replied, "I saw him. He's in the teacher's room." other almost shouted in their ears, "He was so handsome!"

y/n puts her bag on the table. she couldnt care any less about handsome guys. In her point of view, no one could reach thomas's level of perfection.

When she got lost in her thoughts, Henry popped into her mind. She began to think that Henry wasnt that bad looking either. she was even sometimes shocked to see his dazzling look. but his personality had the opposite.

Just then the teacher entered and broke her train of thoughts. everyone stood up and greeted her. but the teacher seemed to be in rush. "I have an announcement." excited noises of female students could be heard as they knew what was coming.

"We have a new student to join us. he's been homeschooled for over a year. I hope you all-" - someone walked into the classroom before she could finish. y/n's eye widened when the person came into her view. The beautiful and handsome new student was no other than, Miles!

she sat there stunned in shock while the other female students stared at him in pleasure. Miles didnt seem to notice y/n when he walked in but as he scanned the room, she finally came in to his view. a satisfied smirk appeared on his face but no one seemed to notice it. "Nice to meet you everyone, Im Miles. "

Once the greeting was over, he took his seat and the class continued. y/n didn't even bother to look back at him. she was already too messy to process what was happening. on the other hand, miles was too curious to know about her reaction.

Jay was nowhere near surprises to see him. As if he already saw it coming. "congratulation. you made it to hell." he coldly stated and moved away. the other could clearly tell how dissappointed jay felt with his decision. "thanks..."

Soon y/n came to them. she looked puffed in anger. When they stood face to face, she pointed her finger at miles. "Explain."

"i...I...the school..."

"did you pay them to accept you!" he protested "No! It was my grades!" she pretended to breakdown in tears, "I cant see you here everyday! My eyes might burn!"

"like I had any wish to see 'you' " the silence  fell. Jay couldnt bare it any longer and fake coughed. he also pointed out how miles lied in his past words. "what, you got a cold?"

Suddenly a ball flew to miles and hit him in the back. "watch it, Henry!" Jay shouted. but they were surprised to see that Henry was in no less anger. he ran up to them to pick up his ball,  "know that I did it on purpose. I've been asking this guy to visit us since last year. he refused every time. but now, not even after a week he met y/n-"

"He's not visiting. He's enrolled here."

"oh..." just then he realised. his eyes widened "WHAT?!?!?"

During the lunch break, the three of them finally calmed Henry and were able to eat in the canteen. but the whole table was filled with silence. only the sound of his angry breathing could be heard.

"see you after school." y/n stood up from her seat and left.

"Choke on it if you're gonna keep eating like this." Jay glared at henry. miles did a quick read on the situation. "I'll make it up to you donkey,et it go now." he tried to calm him down with a fake smile. but it no longer worked. henry followed y/n to the hall.

the other two let out a deep sigh, "goodness...why does he still act like a five year..."

"That's why I always want to protect him. Im afraid he would get hurt by these childish behavior." Jay felt hurt as if he remembered something terrible from his past. Miles didn't take long to figure it out. He slowly stepped his back.

"You remember what I said earlier?" he received a simple nod from the other.

"repeat it for me."

"Focus on studies,

dont cause trouble

and stay away from thomas~"
