Chapter three : Memories

"What is this mess?" Thomas shouted and made his way downstairs with y/n. Henry wore a tie in his head. Jay was running all over the sofa. Isla was standing in the corner, preparing her fist. Miles was on the other side covering his face. All of a sudden, Henry and Lucas were shouting in excitement.

Just when they were about to question more, they all shouted together, "Rock! Paper! Scissor!" Isla showed a paper while Miles showed a rock. They all burst into excitement.Lucas lifted up Isla while Miles was still sitting there with his face covered.

"What's this mess about?"y/n walked over. Isla freed herself from Lucas's hold and ran over to her friend, "Sleepover!"

the boys came out wearing colorful pajamas. Isla made them wear it. "That's why you should never let her win", Miles complained while struggling with his cap.  "Aww! So cute!" Isla called out when she saw them. y/n followed.

"Now, on to the roommate thing, I'm with

y/n." Henry protested, "That's so unfair! You even made us wear this. We were supposed to impress her"

"Babe…what about me?" Lucas asked in confusion. "sorry guys and sorry Lucas. I am not leaving her with y'all tonight. Especially not with Thomas. Who knows-"  y/n covered her mouth from saying more. Everyone in the room could see them blushing to death.

"So it's final then. Sleep with those cute pajamas." she waved at them and dragged y/n to the other room. they closed the doors and burst out in laugh. "Did you see Lucas's face! He looked so cute."

"I know. I feel bad to leave them alone like this". after a long time laughing, they both went quiet. "hey, I'm really proud of you. You finally achieved your dream."

"I wish Felix and Issac would still be here. I wish my whole family were here to see me like this."

"I did text Felix about the news. He's really happy for you. He said he'll call you once he's free."

"and…Issac? Did he mention him?"

Isla shooked her head "That cold guy never replies to my texts. But I'm sure he knows too." y/n yawned, "I feel so tired. Let's sleep."

"What! So early?"

"Stop pretending. I know you'll start talking with lucas the moment I fall asleep. I wonder how you managed to hold on for so long"

"....what about Thomas?"

"what about him?"

"Is he willing to train you again?"

"I don't want to burden him any longer. I can now only wait for a right company to accept me."

"You're right. You guys have been dating for so long. You still have that different side of your relation."

y/n woke up in the middle of the night. the whole place was dark.

She saw Isla sleeping beside her and tried to reach the water pot which was placed in the far corner. But she realized it was empty. now she had no choice but to visit the kitchen.

the rooms were dark. In the darkness, she couldn't make out anything in her eyes and nearly tripped. beside all that she could hear few rustling behind her. It was almost dawn.

She entered the kitchen and kept doing what she wanted. A slight light was coming from the window. suddenly someone appeared and tried to scare her "Boo!"

she quickly turned around and tried to scream. But before she could, that person puts his hand on her mouth.

"Ssh! You'll wake up the others."

"Henry?!? How could you scare me like that?" Henry giggled. He passed her and grabbed a glass. "Not sleepy?" he quietly asked.

"I don't know if I'll be able to sleep anymore…"

"Geez, Sorry. Guess I scared the bunny too much."

"I'm not your bunny anymore. Stop calling me that."

"You'll always be my bunny. And a crybaby"

"ugh!"  Henry was done with his work. So he began to walk away. "Have a good day" he said while waving his hands.

"Hey…Is Thomas awake?"

"Nope. It's just me and Lucas." With Henry's depart; the whole living room became haunted again. It's like He brought a light to her.she looked out of the window. It was almost sunrise. The sun couldn't be seen but it was the best time for jogging.

she quickly grabbed her jacket and went out. before heading out, she looked at the boy's room for the last time. She wanted someone to walk out of there…but no one did. without thinking any further, she decided to walk to her house. It wasn't that far away.

There were morning breeze flowing. Her surrounding was quiet. The birds were chirping. The streets were empty. She could spot very few people. when she reached her house, a puppy ran to her. It jumped all around her legs.

"Hey bella! Missed me?" The pup only barked in reply. She bent down and patted her. "daddy couldn't make it home today." she received an understanding expression from the pup. "So, a walk with mommy?" It went back inside.

y/n decided to give her pup a walk. Before that, she changed in to her casual shirt and jeans. It was all foggy outside. In an hour, she was all ready to go out. Just then, something in her room caught her eyes.

She approached and picked it up in her hand. It was a family picture. Her parents and younger brother was there beside her. She moved her hand all over the picture. As if she can feel them inside. Her eyes moved and she noticed an album of her childhood. Before thinking twice, she sat down and started going through the pictures of memory. Some were with his younger brother. Next few were her pictures with Felix and Issac. The memories of them together were all flooding back.

If only she could stop them. If only she could wipe them away. Those happy yet painful Memories. A part of her which isn't alive anymore.
