Chapter 5:A Welcome Party for the Emperor
The crown prince was assigned to welcome the emperor from the front gate of the kingdom, along with the two pillars of the kingdom, they were the families that protected the kingdom from ancient times.
'lets see what kind of person you are, your majesty' Roland thought while clenching his fist but the moment the emperor and his men arrived while riding their black horses,most of the nobles along with him and the two lords were trembling, they weren't afraid at first however when Lucius eyes glared at them, murderous intent was felt and the power of his mana was pressing them making it hard for them to breath normally.
"ughh" Roland groans from the tension that he felt, when Lucius came down from his horse to meet them, the tension they felt slowly disappear and so Roland stared at him with wary eyes,"Greetings the great sun of the Xaverion empire, welcome to the felice kingdom your majesty, Emperor Lucius Kleon De Xaverion" Roland and the others bowed and greeted him, "hmm looking at your appearance you must be a royal of this kingdom" Lucius ask and stare at Roland
"Ah yes im the crown prince, my name is Roland Felice your majesty" Roland met his golden eyes and he felt fear just looking at it. "alright then prince im tired from the journey i want to rest" he coldly said so Roland offered him a ride in the carriage
"we prepared a carriage for you your majesty it will take a few minutes until we arrive at the castle" Roland and Lucius went along with them while evan followed him.. Inside the carriage sat four people, the Emperor and his aide,at the other side is the crown prince and his aide, it was very uncomfortable, the emperor only stared outside the window with a poker face while the aide seriously staring at the two people at his front and the crown prince as well was on his guard.His aide was the first to break the silent mood, "S-so your grace was your journey not hard" he ask but soon regret it "We didn't encounter any trouble while coming here so the rumor about the kingdom protected by spirit must be true"Evan
"it's just a rumor your grace, the Emperor is protected well by his men that's why you've arrived safely at the kingdom" Roland replied "oh i see but then again i can't deny that i felt magic near the border does the royal family had history of being descendents of magicians" evan ask while Lucius didn't pay any attention to their conversation he was immersed in the view outside 'such nice roads and the houses are very improvised,there are street lights and the business in this place seems productive and successful' he thought "the royal family is a descendents of magicians your grace but it became weak and most of the royal family haven't inherited the power from them" Roland replied
"oh i see" Evan and the silent was back once again. A few minutes later they arrived at the kingdom, the palace gate was not that huge and at the front lies a white palace with a big front yard and two fountains at the entrance. The carriage stop and the door opens, the emperor came down first and he saw some men along with the king at the front with a happy look, they bowed and gave their greetings "Welcome to the palace of the felice kingdom your majesty,the emperor" they said "hmm" Lucius just tilt his head and stared them
"im the king of this land, Richard Felice" he said and stared back at Roland 'they really look alike huh' he thought "Richard right" he ask "yes your majesty" he replied "Can we skip the meetings also Do we have a place to stay, my knights are tired" Lucius and glared at the back where his men went down from their horses and was standing in line "ah why yes of course,please follow me" Richard and he lead the way to the palace where Lucius was going to stay...'dark violet colored hair and jade eyes,his son looks like him' Lucius thought while they keep walking at the hall 'hmm i wonder will they surrender peacefully or fight with all their might still looking at this place it's a pity if it will be destroyed it's even peaceful and beautiful than the empire' he thought.....
"This will be your palace while you stay here your majesty since you travel quite long you must be tired as well, also we held a welcome banquet for you and your men, we only invited few nobles so i hope you'll allow it and come, you can call the servants if you need something and have a good rest your majesty" King Richard bowed "alright a small banquet won't be dangerous and thank you for your hospitality" he said "Your welcome and we hoped that the banquet can satisfy and refresh your thoughts then we'll be leaving your highness" and they hurriedly left leaving Lucius and his men at the front of a large golden colored palace along with prince Roderick and a numbers of servants lining up at the door to welcome their master
"The servants will show the room of your men your majesty and I'll show you yours" Roland "can you show us our room i want to rest too prince" evan complains "ah sure let's get inside" Roland replied and so they entered the inside of the palace "here is your room sir" the aide of Roland stop at a door and told evan
"then I'll go and rest first your majesty, thank you for showing me" evan and he opened the door while Lucius also stop when Roland stop and pointed the large door with silver color "this is your room your majesty, your aide's room is closed to yours if your uncomfortable do call the servants then we'll also be taking our leave have a nice rest your majesty" Roland bowed and Lucius just entered the room.He looks around and saw a balcony so he opened it and the wind entered his room, then he saw roses from the garden near the palace, the green scenarry was peaceful to watch and so Lucius just stand while leaning near the balcony and just stare at the view of the palace gardens.....
