Chapter 37: Princess Grand Debut

2 Months had passed since the princess had arrived at the empire and she was already in a tight position where she'll be introduced as the emperor's future wife

"Bring the olive oil and rose scented perfume" the maids were rushing back and forth while the head maid was giving orders

Princess Astria was sitting still facing the mirror with her serious face 'i hate this' she thought and was groaning just feeling the hands of the maids that kept going around her body

"Where's the diamond tear?" "Here head maid" the head maid took it and slowly put it on ria's slender neck "it's done" and she exclaimed with relief and so ria stood and look at herself in the mirror. A Blue Silver ball gown with a sleeveless top and a pair of silver halfmoon earrings with the diamond tear drop in her neck, she was truly a piece of art and truly a royalty 'hah the imperial maids sure are professionals though i knew i was born with a face i never expect it to be more attractive than it is' ria thought with a surprise look

"Your so beautiful as the moon your highness" the maids praised her "kyaah the emperor will surely fall inlove again" "i hope you have a pleasant and wonderful evening your Majesty" the head maid smiled and ria just smiled back "thank you for all of your help, I'll gladly enjoy my night" she replied and when a knock came from the door the maids Opened it and sir Evan went in

"Ah" as he entered he stopped and stared at ria"staring too long is quite rude milord especially since your staring at her majesty" the head maid said and Evan coughs "ahem forgive me if i was being rude i was only surprised to see a living doll, you are beautiful than ever your majesty" he said and bowed "i shall escort you to the main hall" he added and extended his hand so ria smiled and took it "Thank you for the compliment lord Evan you as well look dashing tonight well then we'll be going" ria said and bid good bye to the maids

"Congratulations on your debut your majesty" the maids said and ria smiled and they went out, Sir Paul and Sir Gerald were waiting outside wearing their formal knights attire, a white Golden uniform "your stunningly beautiful your majesty' sir Gerald complimented and sir paul smiled "your beauty never changes but instead became more attractive princess"

"Thank you for your compliments my dear knights but I'm more surprised to see you both looking so formal and handsome" she giggled, sir Gerald was a noble so he needs to dress up and look dignified the same as well to sir paul since he was very famous in the past years that his influence is wide thus he decided to show up in the society to help ria finding some helpful allies "of course we're the soon to be empress knights we must be dignified" sir Gerald smiled

"Pfft i see" Ria giggled "let's head to the main hall princess before his majesty gets annoyed and look for you" Evan sigh and ria nods and they walk through the hallways

Lucius who was already waiting at the big wide door was getting irritated 'where is she, I've been waiting for the last minutes and she still haven't showed up, does she plan to make me stand here' Lucius angrily thought and stared at sir El with his deadly glare

'eeek lord evan, your majesty when will you come' he screamed in his thought " go fetch the princess and Evan" Lucius coldly spoke and el was frightened that he bowed and was in a hurry to leave "ah your majesty" he was about to walk away when ria and Evan came out from the hallway so he sigh with relief "ah" but as soon as ria came near him he was taken a back

'she was very beautiful like a jewel before but now she looks like a shining jewel comparable to the moon' sir El thought and his thoughts were interrupted when he felt a chill gaze from the back that his mouth moved on his own "y-your highness,h-h his Majesty is waiting" he said and bowed then Evan who seems to understand the situation suddenly trembled though they knew that Lucius hated parties and didn't like escorting women they thought that he might be patient since Astria was her partner but it seems like it wasn't the case

"Ah greetings your majesty forgive me it took me too long to finish dressing up" ria explained as they walk towards Lucius "tsk you've got the nerve to make the emperor wait"he said and stared at Evan who was silently standing besides ria "I've done my job your Majesty i shall be taking my leave" he said and bowed "thank you for escorting me Lord Evan" ria said and Evan gave a sweet smile as a reply and went to the hallway leading to the entrance to the ball which nobles use

Lucius who stared at Ria offered his hand "let's go" he said so ria hold into him and Sir El opened the Door while the MC announced their arrival "his Majesty the sun of the Empire, Emperor Lucius Kleon De Xaverion and Princess Astria Faith Felice has arrived" they slowly walked down through the stairs, Ria glanced at Lucius 'he's indeed the perfect figure of an emperor, his cold aura surrounds him and yet he maintained a poker and dignified handsome face, His black hair and golden eyes matches his golden royal clothes' she thought and continued looking down at the other guests

Lucius on the other hand was also complimenting her 'she's beautiful indeed' he thought with a cold stare and as they walk through the crowds the nobles bowed and greeted them until they reached the throne and stood still facing the nobles "I'm overjoyed to see many familiar and unfamiliar faces tonight, thank you for coming to the princess social debut in the empire, tonight i gladly present to all of you my fiancee, Princess Astria Faith Felice, I Hope that all of you will help her in getting accustomed to the empire, and may all of you pay her respect" his voice were quite cold and yet he gave a smiling face, he really is a tyrant

"Let this party begin, Let's all enjoy tonight's ball" he said like declaring the party to be started and so the nobles clapped their hands and smiled with joy, the first dance will be the emperor and ria then the nobles can dance as they wished and so Lucius offered his hand for a dance "May i have the honor of this dance princess" he ask and ria was feeling disgusted 'ughh what a crazy bastar* indeed, how can he smile at me when he gave me death glare before and he even tried to kill me many times' she thought and only smiled

"The pleasure is mine your majesty" she said and took his hands and they went to the center of the hall, he pulled ria closer into his body and hold her hand and waist then the music starts and so they dance "hmm" ria stared at Lucius with her calm and expressionless face as if she was focused in the dance and Lucius only stared as well with his poker face the two were looking quite cold yet so elegant and graceful 'this reminds me of how i get myself into trouble' ria thought 'if it wasn't for that spoiled noble lady maybe i might not be here hah but it's impossible after all the emperor was after our kingdom so he wouldn't let us free' she thought again

Then Lucius spinn her around that made her surprised, "ah" 'tsk shouldn't he be gentler why is he spinning me like I'm a paly thing' she angrily thought and stared at him with a cold looking eye but Lucius smirk and spoke "heh now your attention is at me" he said and ria was confused "ha?" She ask "don't you know milady it's rude to think about something else when your facing your partner while dancing" he said and ria was feeling embarrassed that she blushed

"I'm sorry your majesty" she said and turned her head away so that she can't look at Lucius but it was pointless when Lucius kept swirling her around so she ended up looking directly at his face, "hmp" she was a bit mad but when she saw Lucius smiling like enjoying the dance she felt like her heart suddenly skipped a beat, she never once saw a smile that looks pure in the emperor's face so she was overwhelmed seeing how lovely a pure smile could be, in the end she just gave a feint smile though they weren't saying anything they could understand that they we're teasing each other however in the eyes of the nobles it was like a loving couple flirting with each other

"The rumors are all true, the foreign princess is really beautiful she's like a fairy of the moon, she's absolutely perfect" they whispered "no wonder he captured the emperor's heart" "the emperor never smiled so brightly before but now he's like being possessed" "they look so perfect with each other and they look so majestic that everyone can tell that they're royalty" "I'm surprised the princess looks so elegant and dignified that the crown of the empress will suit her" they kept talking with each other until the dance was over

"Tsk she must be a witch" a lady whispered with hatred "hmm how pitiful i thought the emperor would chose you lady Stella" Lady Zian Wilford ask "hah your pitying me yet whose more pitiful is it i who only coveted the empress seat or the lady who wished to covet his majesties heart" she asked and they were about to quarell "you two better stop or you'll end up humilating yourselves" a lady stopped them "hmp" the two crossed their hands and shut their mouth "why don't we greet the emperor" she suggested and so the two agreed and they went towards Lucius and Astria who was now sitting at the throne....
