I never imagined that I would be the last one to hear about my sister's wedding plans. I still didn't believe it, until I called Jasmine to confirm.

"Jasmine, what the hell do you mean that you're getting married?!" I yelled into the phone, as soon as she answered.

"Rowan-"

"Do you have any idea what the hell you're getting yourself into?!" My words kept slipping out of my mouth, to the point that I couldn't hear a word she was saying.

What the hell did she mean marriage?

And into the Mafia?

What was she thinking?!

"Jasmine, I'm coming back right now. We need to have a long talk about all this."

She huffed, "No need, I'm coming to you. My flight's already been arranged."

I pinched my temples in disbelief, "No, you're not! Cancel it! I don't care, I want you nowhere near this place." Why was she so strong-headed at times like these?
