Skyler's POV
After I introduced Selena to my teammates, it felt like a torn had been taken off my chest. It has always been my dream to claim her as my girlfriend, and now that it has been realized, I couldn't be happier.
I hated it when my fellow basketball players would talk about her in the locker room or after practice. Often I would go out and take my things before I could lose myself and look like a fool for feeling so angry when I didn't have the right to feel that way.
I wanted to make them stop talking about courting Selena, especially after I rejected her in front of everyone because of my damn pride, and I didn't want to look like a jealous freak.
My coach had punished me for being late so many times after she became my girlfriend, but I didn't care if I had to run miles to be with her.
"Gwen, wait!" I shouted after Gwen got out of her class, I needed her to help me with my plan tomorrow.
