Emma’s POV

Everyone looked puzzled, their eyes widening.

Hector calmly took a sip of his drink and said expressionlessly, "Because she was originally going to study for her bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees at Kaywood University but eventually gave up on pursuing her Ph.D. She was the top-ranked candidate."

"What?!"

Everyone exclaimed in surprise, their eyes almost popping out.

Samantha found it even more incredible, "Emma... it turns out that you, you were the one..."

"Yes, if it weren't for Emma giving up, you would never have had the chance to pursue a Ph.D. at Kaywood University."

Hector raised his eyebrows and smiled faintly, "But it's for the better. A brilliant Luna doesn't need a doctorate title. I'm very satisfied that Emma came back earlier to marry me."

"It's all in the past, Huh."

I said awkwardly, while glancing at Hector.
