When it Falls!

This is gonna be a sequel to my Doctor Who fan fiction with elements of RWBY, Madoka Magica, Symphogear, and SAO in there. It will have me, the Doctor, obviously, the companion, whoever it might be. It will also have characters from RWBY, Madoka Magica, Symphogear, and SAO in there, all of us interacting with each other. God knows what will happen in there, the hijinks, running, and traveling continues. I don't even know, but if I know one thing...it's gonna be awesome.

Daleks in Manhattan

(Jared's POV)

Akihabara…

"Okay, you've bought so many merchandise." Silica said, looking over at how many bags I have. "Why do you need that much?"

"Because it's my day off Silica." I said, eating a Pocky. "No traveling whatsoever."

"Where are we going to afterwards?"

"I don't know. Maybe New York."

"Um, haven't we gone to New York already?" Madoka asked.

"Well, yeah. But still, you can't go wrong with a slice of pizza."

"A slice of pizza. You love Western food a lot."

"Then again, Asian food is also good."

"What now?" Silica asked, as we ran towards the Chevrolet Camaro. "Are we gonna go somewhere cool?"

"I don't know, to be honest." Madoka said, sadly.

2019 Chevrolet Camaro…

"Let's go to Orlando." I said, placing in coordinates into the dashboard. "Want to snack up on anything sweet? And go on rides."

"I think you're trying to not think about the future." Madoka said, frowning.

"Me not thinking about the future. Are you sure about that?"

"Usually when you want to go somewhere, it's either because you like to keep secrets from us." Weiss said, in the back of the car, and she is sitting next to Silica.

"Fair point, ice queen."

"Are we going to New York or not?"

"We are." I said, activating the hover conversion on the Camaro. "Give me a few."

"You can tell us how you're feeling, Jared." Madoka said, happily. "I've had this talk already with Homura."

"I know, Madoka. I know."

"What are we gonna see in New York?"

"I don't know." I said, making the Camaro appear with a flash of light to be next to the TARDIS. "Perfect parking."

Bedloe's Island…

The Tardis materialises in one of the corners of an eleven pointed Army base exterior wall.

"Where are we?" Martha asked, as I exited the Camaro with Madoka, Silica, and Weiss.

"Ah, smell that Atlantic breeze. Nice and cold. Lovely. Martha, have you met my friend?" The Doctor asked.

Martha turns around and looks up. Background music is Rhapsody in Blue, "Is that? Oh, my God. That's the Statue of Liberty."

"Gateway to the New World. Give me you tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free."

"That's so brilliant. I've always wanted to go to New York. I mean the real New York, not the new, new, new, new, new one." Martha said.

"Well, there's the genuine article. So good, they named it twice. Mind you, it was New Amsterdam originally. Harder to say twice. Now wonder it didn't catch on. New Amsterdam, New Amsterdam."

"I wonder what year it is, because look, the Empire State Building's not even finished yet."

"Work in progress. Still got a couple floors to go, and if I know my history, that makes the date somewhere around…"

"Oh, this isn't good." Weiss said, picking up a copy of the New York Record which is lying on a bench. "November first 1930. What time period is this?"

"The Great Depression." I said, eating some more jelly babies. "Crap."

"Eighty years ago. It's funny, because you see all those old newsreels all in black and white like it's so far away, but here we are. It's real. It's now. Come on then, you lot. Where do you want to go first?" Martha asked.

"I think our detour just got longer." The Doctor said.

"Hooverville Mystery Deepens. What's a Hooverville?" Weiss asked, reading what's on the newspaper.

Central Park…

"Time for me being an American, where my history for this shines." I said, playing some music off of my iPhone, that being Putting on the Ritz. "Herbert Hoover was the thirty first US President. He came to power a year ago. Before that, New York was popular as hell."

"What you're saying, it was as popular as Tokyo." Sayaka said, walking next to me.

"It was. The Roaring Twenties. And then…"

"The Stock Market Crash. At Wall Street. It happened when, 1929?"

"Yeah. Whole economy wiped out overnight. Thousands of people unemployed. All of a sudden, the huddled masses doubled in number with nowhere to go. So, they ended up here in Central Park." The Doctor said.

"What, they actually live in the park? In the middle of the city?" Martha asked.

"Weiss, go back inside the Camaro." I said, looking at the Schnee heiress.

"Okay." Weiss said, walking away from me. "I'll see you at the Amity Colosseum then."

Hooverville…

A shanty town overlooked by Manhattan skyscrapers.

"Ordinary people lost their jobs. Couldn't pay the rent and they lost everything. There are places like this all over America. No one's helping them. You only come to Hooverville when there's nowhere else to go." The Doctor said.

"You thieving lowlife!" A Black man said, and a fight breaks out.

"This is bad." Madoka said, looking at the fight break out. "I should stop it."

"Nah, I should." Silica said. "What should we do?"

"I don't know what to do next." I said, looking between Silica and Madoka.

A black man comes out of a tent.

"Cut that out! Cut that out right now!" Solomon said, breaking up the fight.

"He stole my bread!" The Black man said.

"That's enough! Did you take it?"

"I don't know what happened. He just went crazy." The white man said.

"That's enough! Now, think real careful before you lie to me."

"I'm starving, Solomon."

Solomon holds out his hand, and the white man takes the bread out from inside his coat, "We all starving. We all got families somewhere."

He does the judgment of Solomon and gives each man half of the loaf.

"No stealing and no fighting. You know the rules. Thirteen years ago I fought in the Great War. A lot of us did. And the only reason we got through was because we stuck together. No matter how bad things get, we still act like human beings. It's all we got." Solomon said.

"Oh." Madoka said, watching the two fighters walk away.

"Come on." The Doctor said, walking over to Solomon. "I suppose that makes you the boss around here."

"And, er, who might you be?" Solomon asked.

"He's the Doctor, that's Jared, Madoka, and Silica. I'm Martha." Martha said.

"A doctor. Huh. Well, we got stockbrokers, we got a lawyer, but you're the first doctor. Neighbourhood gets classier by the day."

"How many people live here?"

"At any one time, hundreds. No place else to go. But I will say this about Hooverville. We are a truly equal society. Black, white, all the same. All starving. So you're welcome, both of you. But tell me. Doctor, you're a man of learning, right? Explain this to me. That there's going to be the tallest building in the world. How come they can do that, when we got people starving in the heart of Manhattan?"

(Open POV)

Kirito and Asuna's house…

"So, 1930s New York." Sinon said, looking at Jared. "You guys are there."

"Yeah, we are." Jared said, drinking his cup of tea. "This is gonna be a slow day."

"What are you talking about?" Kirito asked. "All you're gonna do is help out a Human-Dalek Hybrid."

"I know, and Laszlo and Tallulah too. But still, this is wrong."

"How is going to the Great Depression wrong?"

"Because it just is Kirito."

"What are you gonna do now?"

"I don't know, honestly."

"Maybe you should practice your sword skills and sniping." Asuna said, holding out her rapier. "You and me, right now."

"In your house?"

"No, I'm thinking out in an open field."

Outside of Kirito and Asuna's house…

"So, we're gonna be fighting out here, outside of your house. Jared said, taking out his Heat Sword.

"Yeah. Unless you think you can't handle me and Mother's Rosario."

"Yuuki's original sword skill. I have something that I know you don't have."

Jared closed his eyes for a moment and the imagination for his family and friends had gotten bigger, with Teams RWBY, JNPR, the SAO survivors, the magical girls he knows and cares about, and the Doctor and his companions thrown into the mix. His sword as a result had gotten bigger and longer as a result, with Beacon Academy, Aincrad, and the TARDIS behind him.

"Oh my god." Asuna said, her eyes widening. "How?!"

"Easy, really. Kirito has done it. Or will do it. Time travel makes things so complicated." Jared said, running towards Asuna to do a strike to her rapier. "Not saying how."

"What's that called? What you just did?"

"It's called the Incarnate System. Something I picked up by watching or playing Accel World."

"Accel World…"

"It's this other world. I have a strong imagination and a good one."

"You said I'll do that someday." Kirito said, walking out of the house with two swords behind his back, one of them being Excalibur. "When do I learn that?"

"Spoilers."

"Just tell me. You've already shown it off."

"Well, you're…"

"Not gonna say, huh."

"If he doesn't want to talk about it. He doesn't have to." Asuna said, smiling. "Come on, Mami made tea."

Kirito and Asuna's house…

"The incarnate system uses what fuels a magical girl and a witch." Sayaka said, walking towards Jared. "Hope and despair. That isn't fair, really."

"It takes a lot of time and experience to master it, Sayaka." Jared said, drinking his cup of tea. "I just can't use it recklessly, it'll tire me out."

"Where's Madoka and Silica?" Asuna asked.

"Crap, I dozed off. And said the usual two words to bring me here. They're still in 1930s New York with the Doctor and Martha." Jared said, logging out.

Hooverville…

"So, men are going missing. Is this true?" The Doctor asked.

"It's true all right." Solomon said.

(Jared's POV)

Solomon's tent…

"But what does missing mean? Men must come and go here all the time. It's not like anyone's keeping a register." The Doctor said.

"Come on in. This is different." Solomon said.

"How is that different?" Madoka asked.

"Someone takes them, at night. We hear something, someone calls out for help. By the time we get there, they're gone like they vanished into thin air."

"Man, I'm getting so bored." I said, eating some jelly babies. "The pacing of this adventure. It's not fun, girls."

"It's not that bad." Silica said, happily. "You've got us."

"She's right. If you were that bored, you wouldn't have come." Madoka said, smiling.

"But still, I know what we're facing. It takes forever to get to the end!" I said, still snacking on the jelly babies. "Those pepper pots and those pig men don't help…"

"You'll be fine." Madoka said, giving me a hug. "Just relax. We'll get through it, right?"

"Yeah. We will."

"Solomon, Mister Diagoras is here." Frank said, entering the tent.

Hooverville…

"I need men. Volunteers. I've got a little work for you and you sure look like you can use the money." Diagoras said.

"Yeah. What is the money?" Frank asked.

I looked over to see Weiss standing outside with the Camaro. I motioned the Schnee heiress to come over to me.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, looking at Weiss.

"I thought you could do with some help. And I brought some friends along." Weiss said, crossing her arms.

Yang, Lisbeth, and Sayaka then exited the Camaro, making me laugh a little.

"You brought the pun queen, the ripoff blacksmith, and my sweet little blueberry girl." I said, looking over at the three girls. "At least now I'll be less bored writing this."

"Less bored with what?" Sayaka asked, walking over to me. "Are we here to make you have fun writing your story?"

"You could play some board games in the process." Yang said, coming up with a bad pun.

"I thought Silica could need some help." Lisbeth said, excitedly. "That's why I'm here."

"Weiss, you brought the three girls with similar personalities." I said, letting out a sigh. "How does that help me?"

"You're the one who wrote them in." Weiss said. "This is your fault."

"We're coming too." Sayaka said, walking over to Diagoras with Madoka. "Me and her. To those sewers of yours."

"Me too." I said, grabbing Sayaka's hand. "I hate you."

Sewers…

"Turn left. Go about a half a mile. Follow tunnel two seven three. Fall's right ahead of you, you can't miss it." Diagoras said.

"You know, this place isn't half bad." Sayaka said, walking around. "Even if it smells disgusting."

"Maybe if we had some air fresheners." Madoka said.

"I want it to smell like gingerbread cookies." I said, eating through a box filled with Mami's cooking.

"Is that Mami's tea and cake?"

"Yeah."

"Can I have some?"

The Doctor stares into Diagoras' eyes for a few moments, then follows the others with Madoka, Sayaka, and I.

"We just got to stick together. It's easy to get lost. It's like a huge rabbit warren. You could hide an army down here." Frank said.

"So what about you, Frank? You're not from around these parts, are you?" Martha asked.

"Oh, you could talk. No, I'm Tennessee born and bred."

"So how come you're here?"

"Oh, my daddy died. Mama couldn't afford to feed us all. So, I'm the oldest, up to me to feed myself. So I put on my coat, hitched up here on the railroads. There's a whole lot of runaways in the camp, younger than me, from all over. Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas. Solomon keeps a lookout for us. So, what about you? You're a long way from home."

"Yeah, I'm just a hitcher too."

"You stick with me, you'll be all right."

"So this Diagoras bloke, who is he then?" The Doctor asked.

"A couple of months ago, he was just another foreman. Now, it seems like he's running most of Manhattan." Solomon said.

"How'd he manage that then?"

"These are strange times. A man can go from being King of the Hill to the lowest of the low overnight. It's just for some folks it works the other way round."

"Whoa!" Sayaka said, looking at a luminous green jellyfish is lying on the ground in front of us. "What is that? It looks like something out of Spongebob."

"Um, I don't think it's like Squidward." Madoka said.

"Is it radioactive or something? It's gone off, whatever it is. And you've got to pick it up." Martha said, watching the Doctor pick up the object.

"Shine your torch through it. Composite organic matter. Martha? Medical opinion?" The Doctor asked.

"It's not human. I know that."

"No, it's not. And I'll tell you something else. We must be at least half a mile in. I don't see any sign of a collapse, do you? So why did Mister Diagoras send up down here?"

"Where are we now? What's above us?"

"Well, we're right underneath Manhattan."

"This could take a while." I said, sitting down on the floor. "Link Start."

(Open POV)

Works office…

A hologram of Jared, and two augmented reality versions of Madoka and Yui appeared in the room. Not able to be seen by others except each other.

"And here, the crowning glory of the Empire State Building, the mast itself. One thousand four hundred and seventy two feet above New York." Diagoras said.

"It's a beautiful thing, sir, and every single one of us is proud of it. My wife says it's like a, like a spire reaching into Heaven." Foreman 2 said.

"Except the Gates of Heaven need a little decoration. These plates have got to be fixed to the mast, right to the base itself."

"Dalekanium." Holo-Jared said, looking at three plates with a familiar row of four domes on them. "They're not good."

"What is Dalekanium?" Madoka asked.

"They're what you would call a suit of a Dalek." Holo-Jared said, watching the five men protest.

"What, are you trying to kill us? We're flat out up here! Come on." Foreman 2 said.

"Don't argue with me!" Diagoras said.

"But sir, men can't work up there at night. It's freezing. Your hands go numb. You lose your grip, you fall."

"I know we can help them." Yui said, while a man picks up a very heavy panel. "What can we do?"

"In this state Yui, nothing." Holo-Jared said, sadly.

"Don't ask questions, just go." Diagoras said, with the workers taking the panels before leaving. "And I don't care how cold it is, how tired you are. Just get out there and finish the job!"

"A Dalek." Madoka said, while a Dalek enters from the elevator. "Never thought I would see one again."

"The conductor must be complete for our plan to succeed." Dalek 3 said.

"Unemployment is such an incentive. It'll get done, don't worry." Diagoras said.

"Daleks have no concept of worry."

"Yeah? Well, lucky you."

"This day is ending. Humankind is weak. You shelter from the dark. And yet, you have built all this."

"That's progress. You got to move with the times or you get left behind."

"Yui, how's the others?" Holo-Jared asked, looking at Yui.

"They're alive." Yui said, smiling. "Safe and sound within the sewer. Sayaka is looking after you and Madoka."

"Sayaka has always been like that." Madoka said, happily. "When I was defenseless. When I thought I couldn't help anyone."

"I want to run this city, whatever it takes, by any means necessary." Diagoras said.

"You think like a Dalek." Dalek 3 said.

"I'll take that as a compliment."

"Hey Yui, you think you can access a Dalek eyestalk from here?" Holo-Jared asked.

"I think I can." Yui said, loading up a view screen in front of herself, Madoka, and Jared. "I got it up."

Dalek laboratory...

The other two gold Daleks join the Black Dalek to see what number 3 is looking at.

"This human is our best option. Bring him to me." Dalek Sec said.

Works office...

"Your loyalty will be rewarded. Come with me." Dalek 3 said.

Dalek laboratory...

"Prepare the laboratory. The Final Experiment will begin." Dalek Sec said.

"We obey." The Daleks said.

Lift…

The doors close without anyone touching the controls.

"Where are we going?" Diagoras asked.

"You have been summoned by our leader." A Dalek said.

"Oh, and about time too."

Dalek laboratory...

Diagoras leaves the lift and puts on a pair of gloves he has in his pocket. He walks forward slowly and a crowd of pigmen gather.

"I bring you the human." Dalek 1 said.

"I take it you're in charge?" Diagoras asked.

"Correct. I am Dalek Sec, leader of the Cult of Skaro." Dalek Sec said.

"Then, my Lord Sec, I am honoured to meet you. Ever since you first made contact with me, transmitting your thoughts into the corners of my mind, tempting me with such images, such ideas. Oh, sir, I'd always dreamt that the…"

"Cease talking."

"I just want to let you know how grateful I am…"

"I said cease. Slaves, secure the human."

"But you don't need to do that. I'm on your side. I'm working with you. I'm your partner. I'm your friend." Dalek said, struggling against the pigmen's grasp.

Works office…

"That's one of the weirdest things I've ever seen." Madoka said, looking at Holo-Jared. "Um, what should we do now?"

"I know." Holo-Jared said, hugging Madoka. "Can't think of a plan right now. Let's get out of here and back to the others."

(Jared's POV)

Sewers…

"Hello." Sayaka said, looking down at Madoka and I. "What's up?"

"Not much." I said, looking up to see that we're by a handy manhole cover that is shedding some light. "Did you and the Doctor carry me and Madoka all the way here?"

"Yeah, we did."

"Jared, something is bothering you." Madoka said, noticing how moody I've been. "You're just like Sayaka sometimes. Homura too. If you ever want to talk about something. Let me know."

"It's just that with each passing day I'm getting close to when it falls." I said, letting out a sigh. "When two things fall. And a year of hell will come."

"A year of hell?" Sayaka asked, as a pig squeal echoes around us. "Wasn't us taking down the biggest witch of them all and what Homura became for a while? That."

"Two different things, really."

"Hello?" Frank asked.

"Shush." Martha said.

"Frank." Solomon said.

"What if it's one of the folk gone missing? You'd be scared and half mad down here on your own." Frank said.

"Do you think they're still alive?" The Doctor asked.

"Heck, we ain't seen no bodies down here. Maybe they just got lost." Frank said, hearing more squeals.

"I know I never heard nobody make a sound like that." Solomon said.

"Where's it coming from? Sounds like there's more than one of them."

"It's obvious that's it's this way." Sayaka said, looking over at one direction.

"Well, I think it's that way." Madoka said, taking out her phone and aiming the flashlight on it to light up a figure crouched in a corner. "Oh."

"Doctor?" Martha asked.

"Who are you?" Solomon asked.

"Are you lost? Can you understand me? I've been thinking about folk lost down…" Frank said.

"It's all right, Frank. Just stay back. Let me have a look. He's got a point, though, my mate Frank. I'd hate to be stuck down here on my own. We know the way out. Daylight. If you come with us…" The Doctor said, and he sees that the man is a pig. "Oh, but what are you?"

"Doctor, um, is that a mask that you would wear on Halloween?" Madoka asked, walking up to the Doctor.

"No, it's real. I'm sorry. Now listen to me. I promise I can help. Who did this to you?"

"Doctor? I think you'd better get back here with Madoka." Martha said, and more pigmen have entered the tunnel. "Doctor!"

"Actually, good point." The Doctor said, while he and Madoka returns to the group.

"They're following the both of you."

"Yeah, I noticed that, thanks. Well then, Martha, Frank, Solomon, Jared, Sayaka, Madoka."

"What?"

"Eh? Er, basically, run!" The Doctor said, while the pigmen chase us back to a junction.

"Where are we going?!" Sayaka exclaimed. "I don't see the point in running."

"This way!" The Doctor said, spotting something down a side passage. "It's a ladder! Come on!"

"Madoka, not now!" I said, as the Doctor uses the sonic screwdriver to open the cover at the top.

I'm watching Madoka transform into her magical girl form to ward off the pigmen.

"I'll buy you some time!" Madoka said, getting as reckless as ever. "You guys have to get up. Don't worry about me."

"Madoka." I said, while Frank grabs an iron T bar to ward off the pigmen too as Martha climbs up.

"Madoka!" Sayaka said, as she climbed up to safety with me after Solomon. "Hurry up!"

"We don't have much time!" I said, watching Frank and Madoka run to the ladder. "Come on, Madoka…"

The pigmen grab Frank's legs and Madoka's hand where she is holding her bow. Solomon and the Doctor try to grab Frank's hand, as Sayaka and I tried to grab Madoka's hand.

"Yes! We've got her!" I said, while Madoka is pulled down by the pigmen with Frank. "No…"

"Madoka…" Sayaka said, sadly. "What can we do?"

"Nothing for now. We have to get her back sooner or later."

Props room…

Solomon pushes the Doctor away as the pigmen start to climb the ladder, and slams the lid shut, "We can't go after them."

"Solomon, we have to go back down!" I said, looking at Solomon. "We can't just leave them. Leave Madoka and Frank down there. Especially Madoka, she's important in our lives!"

"No, I'm not losing anybody else. Those creatures were from Hell. From Hell itself! If we go after them, they'll take us all! There's nothing we can do. I'm sorry." Solomon said.

Tallulah steps out from behind a rack and points a revolver at us, "All right, then. Put them up. Hands in the air and no funny business. Now tell me, you schmucks, what have you done with Laszlo?"

"Who's Laszlo?" Martha asked.

Tallulah's dressing room…

Tallulah still has the revolver, "Laszlo's my boyfriend. Or was my boyfriend until he disappeared two weeks ago. No letter, no goodbye, no nothing. And I'm not stupid. I know some guys are just pigs but not my Laszlo. I mean, what kind of guy asks you to meet his mother before he vamooses?"

"Jared, tell me where the hell is Madoka Kaname." Homura said, entering the room. "You were with her and Sayaka down there. What happened?"

"She, I don't know how to explain this." I said, leaning against the wall. "She was taken by the pig men."

"You mean those things that have been running around the sewers in Manhattan."

"Yeah."

"I'm going after her."

"What's the point in even trying?" Sayaka asked. "You're just gonna get taken. Like Madoka. I know we should save her. But not like this."

"You're right. I don't have a choice in the matter."

"Three Ls and an H." Tallulah said.

"Right. We can try to find Laszlo, but he's not the only one. There are people disappearing every night." The Doctor said.

"And there are creatures. Such creatures." Solomon said.

"What do you mean, creatures?" Tallulah asked.

"Look, listen, just trust me. Everyone is in danger. I need to find out exactly what this is." The Doctor said, taking out the jellyfish thing. "Because then I'll know exactly what we're fighting."

"Yuck."

(Open POV)

Backstage…

"You know why they took Madoka." Homura said, looking at Jared.

"Of course I would. Why wouldn't I?" Jared asked, walking around the room. "It's not like I have anything else planned for the day, you know."

"So, you're just gonna wait and see what happens." Sayaka said. "You know where Madoka is. Why can't we go off down into the sewers? And how about we save her?"

"Us against some Daleks. That didn't work last time, Sayaka."

"You and the Doctor sent them back into hell."

"Or so we thought." Homura said.

Props room…

The Doctor is scavenging for parts to build a gizmo.

Solomon brings a small Art Nouveau radio. "How about this? I found it backstage."

"Perfect. It's the capacitors I need. I just rigging up a crude little DNA scan for this beastie. If I can get a chromosomal reading, I can find out where it's from." The Doctor said.

"How about you, Doctor? Where are you from? I've been all over. I never heard anybody talk like you. Just exactly who are you?" Solomon asked.

"Oh, I'm just sort of passing by."

"I'm not a fool, Doctor."

"No. Sorry."

Solomon goes to the NYC sewer entrance.

"I was so scared, Doctor. I let them take Frank and Madoka because I was just so scared. I got to get back to Hooverville. With these creatures on the loose, we got to protect ourselves. Ain't no one else going to help us." Solomon said.

"Good luck." The Doctor said.

"I hope you find what you're looking for, for all our sakes."

Tallulah's dressing room…

Tallulah is getting ready for her next show, "Laszlo. He'd wait for me after the show. Walk me home like I was a lady. He'd leave a flower for me on my dressing table. Every day, just a single rose bud."

"Haven't you reported him missing?" Martha asked.

"Sure. He's just a stagehand. Who cares? The management certainly don't." Tallulah said.

"Can't you kick up a fuss or something?"

"Okay, so then they fire me."

"But they'd listen to you. You're one of the stars."

"Oh, honey, I got one song in a back street revue and that's only because Heidi Chicane broke her ankle. Which had nothing to do with me whatever anybody says. I can't afford to make a fuss. If I don't make this month's rent, then before you know it, I'm in Hooverville."

"Okay, I get it."

"It's the Depression, sweetie. Your heart might break, but the show goes on. Because if it stops, you starve. Every night I have to go out there, sing, dance, keep going, hoping he's going to come back." Tallulah said.

"I'm sorry." Martha said.

"Hey, you're lucky, though. You got yourself a forward thinking guy with that hot potato in the sharp suit."

"Er, he's not. We're not together."

"Oh, sure you are. I've seen the way you look at him. It's obvious."

"Not to him."

"Oh, I should have realised. He's into musical theatre, huh? What a waste. Still, you got to live in hope. It's the only thing that's kept me going because, well, look. On my dressing table every day still." Tallulah said, looking at a white rose bud.

"You think it's Laszlo?"

"I don't know. If he's still around, why is he being all secret like he doesn't want me to see him?"

Hooverville…

"Great, it's pouring rain." Weiss said, holding an umbrella next to Yang. "Why did we show up on a day like this?"

"I guess you can say that Herbert Hoover is a bit vile." Yang said, while a town meeting is happening in the pouring rain.

"The stories are all true. People are being taken. We lost Frank today. He was stolen from right in front of me. And Madoka was stolen from right in front of our new friend, Jared. No more. I swear to you, no more. Now, I made a pledge that this place would be a peaceful place, but now it's time to take up arms." Solomon said.

"Yeah!" The crowd said, happily.

"We need weapons. We need sentries on duty. We need men prepared to fight. We've got to protect ourselves because you know no one else will."

"That's right."

"Now get moving. Arm yourselves. Come on!"

"This won't end well." Weiss said, holding her Myrtenaster. "We're up against those pig men. And we're stuck in the slums."

"It can't be that bad." Yang said, refilling her Ember Celica. "We've got each other's back."

"How about those two?" Weiss asked, motioning towards Silica and Rika. "They don't have any…"

"Jared left behind these weapons." Silica said, revealing a sword and a war hammer. "Don't know what to do with them."

"Well, it looks like he wants us to fight." Rika said, happily. "The four of us. But why do Weiss and Yang get their signature weapons?"

"Because he knows we can't fight without them." Weiss said, crossing her arms.

"That makes perfect sense. You know that."

"Of course I do."

"What do we do now?" Silica asked.

"We wait until the fight comes to us." Rika said, smiling. "That's what!"

Tallulah's dressing room…

"So, these Daleks have a weakness." Homura said, walking towards Jared. "Where is it?"

"Their eyestalk." Jared said, drinking a cup of English Breakfast tea. "That's how you beat them. One right aim towards it, should kill one stone dead."

"Don't they regenerate within numbers?" Sayaka asked. "There is no way a magical girl can beat them."

"Homura has her weapons on her. She has the firepower to take down any Dalek she wants."

"Fair point. I lost to her time and time again. Before, during, and after. In any timeline I've ever encountered her."

"You lost during those times." Homura said. "Because you never changed your strategy. You always ended up as a witch within those timelines due to your selfishness."

"So what? I'm at my peak. The highest it has ever been, transfer student."

"Girls, no fighting." Jared said, taking out his dual pistols. "We'll be facing the Daleks soon. And Sayaka, make sure that Martha is safe."

"How come?" Sayaka asked.

"One of those pig men are nearby."

Lighting gallery…

The Doctor aims a spotlight onto the jellyfish, which is pinned inside his gizmo, which in turn is powered by the sonic screwdriver, "That's it. We need to heat you up."

The Doctor puts on his glasses and starts to examine it.

Backstage…

"Girls, it's showtime!" Tallulah said, happily.

"Lois, you spoil my chasse tonight, I'm going to punch you." Myrna said.

"Aw, quick complaining, Myrna. Go buy yourself some glasses." Lois said.

"Come on, honey. Take a look. Ever been on stage before?" Tallulah asked.

"Oh, a little bit. You know, Shakespeare." Martha said, smiling.

"How dull is that? Come and see a real show."

Lighting gallery…

"This is artificial." The Doctor said.

"Ladies and gentlemen. The Laurenzi…" The MC said, over the speaker.

"Genetically engineered. Whoever this is, oh, you're clever."

"Dancing devils, with Heaven and Hell!"

Stage...

"This show won't be half bad." Sayaka said, and the curtains open to show the chorus line in their red devil dresses, who pull back their red feather fans to reveal Tallulah, the angel in white. "You know, I might enjoy this."

"Me too, Sayaka Miki." Jared said, holding Sayaka's hand. "Kyoko and I won't ever leave you. You got that?"

"You lured me in with your cold grey eyes, your simple smile, your bewitching lies. One and one and one is three. My bad, bad angel, the Devil and me. You put the devil in me. You put the devil in me. You put the devil in me. My bad, bad angel, you put the Devil in me." Tallulah said, singing.

"So, that's the pig man." Sayaka said, spotting a pig man in the opposite wings with Martha. "I'll look after her."

Sayaka and Martha tried to sneak across the back of the stage, unnoticed.

"What are you doing?" Myrna asked, while Martha accidentally grabs a devil's tail and they both fall.

"Martha!" Sayaka said, looking at the medical student. "Careful! You don't know what you're doing, do you?"

"What are you doing?" Tallulah asked.

"You're on my tail. Get off my tail!" Lois said, angrily.

Lighting gallery…

The Doctor is listening to the jellyfish with a stethoscope, "Fundamental DNA type four six seven dash nine eight nine. Nine eight nine. Hold on, that means planet of origin. Skaro."

Stage…

The audience are laughing at the chaos.

"Get off the stage. You're spoiling it!" Tallulah said.

"But look. Over there!" Martha said, pointing at the pigman.

"Let's go, Martha." Sayaka said, as Tallulah screams and the pig man runs. "Hey, come back here..."

"Hey!" Martha said, and she and Sayaka chases the pigman backstage.

Backstage…

"Wait!" Martha said.

"Man, that thing is fast." Sayaka said.

Props room…

The pigman runs in.

"But you're different to the others! Just wait!" Martha said.

Clang!

"And there it goes." Sayaka said, knowing that the pig man has gone into the sewers. "Back to its master."

Backstage…

"Sayaka will find Madoka, I know she will." Jared said, running next to Homura. "I have faith in her."

"You trust us, like you trust Team RWBY." Homura said, looking over at Jared. "Then why did you let Sayaka chase after the pig man with Martha?"

"Where are they? Where's Martha and Sayaka?" The Doctor asked, running up to Jared and Homura.

"I don't know. They ran off the stage." Tallulah said.

Props room…

Two different pigmen grabs Martha and Sayaka from behind. They scream. The Doctor, Tallulah, Jared, and Homura run towards the sound.

"Martha!" The Doctor said, as the sewer entrance lid hasn't been put back properly.

"This is bad." Jared said, and the Doctor puts his coat on. "Let's go, you two."

"Where are you going?" Tallulah asked.

"They've taken them." Jared said, as Homura is going down the sewers. "They took Madoka."

"And Sayaka." Homura said, climbing down the ladder. "They've taken two of the people we're close to."

"Who's taken them? What're you doing?" Tallulah asked, while the Doctor and Jared goes down into the sewers.

Sewers…

"I said, what the hell are you doing?" Tallulah asked.

Props room...

"Crazy guys." Tallulah said, putting on a fur coat and goes down the ladder.

Sewers…

"No, Tallulah, you're not coming with us." Homura said, looking at Tallulah.

"Tell me what's going on." Tallulah said.

"There's nothing you can do with us, Tallulah." Jared said, holding the Monado. "It's not safe. Go back to your stage, where you can sing and dance."

"Look, whoever's taken Martha, Madoka, and Sayaka, they could've taken Laszlo, couldn't they?"

"Tallulah, you're not safe down here." The Doctor said.

"Then that's my problem. Come on. Which way?" Tallulah asked, going down a tunnel.

"This way."

Tallulah comes back and follows the Doctor, Jared, and Homura.

Sewer 2…

"No! Let me go!" Martha said, as she and Sayaka are pushed against a wall and a line of men is escorted past.

"Sayaka." Madoka said, walking towards Sayaka for a hug. "I was so worried about you!"

"Tell me about it. What were you thinking about taking cover like that?" Sayaka asked, and a pig man pushes Frank.

"All right, all right, we're moving." Martha said.

"Where are they taking us?" Frank asked.

"I don't know, but we can find out what's going on down here." Martha said.

(Jared's POV)

Sewer…

The Doctor, Tallulah, Homura, and I walk under a portcullis.

"When you say, they've taken them, who's they exactly? And who are you lot anyway? I never asked." Tallulah said.

"Shut up." I said, holding the Monado in my right hand.

"Okay, okay."

"Shush, shush, shush, shush, shush, shush, shush." The Doctor said, as the shadow of a Dalek is cast on the wall ahead of us.

"I mean you're handsome and all…" Tallulah said.

The Doctor puts his hand over her mouth and drags her back into a service alcove until the Dalek is safely past and away, "No, no, no, no, no, no, no. They survived. They always survive while we lose everything."

"I lost Rose and Madoka became the Law of Cycles again." I said, looking over at Homura. "Not complaining. But you really messed up hard."

"I know I did. I didn't come to help you, I came to save Madoka." Homura said, a gun in her hand. "Those things are in the way."

"Yup. The Daleks are what is keeping us from saving Madoka and Sayaka."

"Does it look like I'm kidding? Inside that shell is a creature born to hate, whose only thought is to destroy everything and everyone that isn't a Dalek too. It won't stop until it's killed every human being alive." The Doctor said.

"But if it's not a human being, that kind of implies it's from outer space. Yet again, that's a no with the kidding. Boy. Well, what's it doing here, in New York?" Tallulah asked.

"So, what are you listening to?" Homura asked, grabbing my phone. "All Stars?"

"It has μ's, Aqours, and PDP." I said, grabbing my phone back from Homura. "I just want to see more songs by my three favorite school idol groups, okay?"

"Tallulah, every second you're down here, you're in danger. We're taking you back right now." The Doctor said, as a pigman is round the corner. Tallulah screams and it tries to hide. "Where's Martha, Madoka, and Sayaka? What have you done with them? What have you done with our friends?"

"I didn't take them." Laszlo said.

"Can you remember your name?"

"Don't look at me."

"Do you know where they are?" Homura asked. "Our friends?"

"Stay back! Don't look at me." Laszlo said.

"What happened to you?"

"They made me a monster."

"Who made you a monster?" I asked, placing my headphones around my neck.

"The masters."

"The Daleks. Why?" The Doctor asked.

"They needed slaves. They needed slaves to steal more people so they created us. Part animal, part human. I escaped before they got my mind, but it was still too late." Laszlo said.

"Do you know what happened to Martha, Madoka, and Sayaka?"

"They took Martha and Sayaka. It's my fault. They were following me."

"Those two finally reunite." Homura said. "After all this time."

"It's less crazy than how you did it with Madoka." I said, looking over at Homura. "You put everyone close to you within a certain radius, in a dream world."

"Only for us to live our normal lives. No harm was done."

"I know. But I would never do that to my friends."

"If you end up in a library someday. And trapped on a server. You would do the same. I know you." Homura said, as Laszlo turns around so that Tallulah can finally see him.

"Yeah, I would. I don't want to lose anyone I love and care about."

"Who are you?" Tallulah asked.

"I was lonely." Laszlo said.

"Who are you?"

"I needed to see you."

"Who are you?"

"I'm sorry."

"No, wait. Let me look at you. Laszlo? My Laszlo? Oh, what have they done to you?"

"I'm sorry. So sorry."

"Laszlo, can you show us where they are?" The Doctor asked.

"They'll kill you."

"If we don't stop them, they'll kill everyone." Homura said, a gun in her hand.

"Then follow me."

Sewer 2…

"What are they keeping us here for?" Frank asked.

"I don't know. I've got a nasty feeling we're being kept in the larder." Martha said.

Laszlo brings the Doctor, Tallulah, Homura, and I to where we can see Martha, Frank, Madoka, and Sayaka.

"There's something wrong with them." Sayaka said, as the pigmen get nervous. "Is it just me, or are they scared?"

"What're they doing? What's wrong? What's wrong?" Frank asked.

"Silence. Silence." Dalek 1 said, and Laszlo hides.

"What the hell is that?" Martha asked.

"You will form a line. Move. Move."

"Um, just do what it says, okay?" Madoka asked. "Obey that thing. Even if we don't like it, everyone."

"The female is wise. Obey." Dalek 1 said.

"Report." Another Dalek said.

"These are strong specimens. They will help the Dalek cause."

"Dalek?" Martha asked.

"Those things." Sayaka said, smiling. "They're Daleks. You think you can beat them, but you can't, none of us can."

"Those machines are called Daleks."

"Yeah, they're practically impossible to beat. Especially with the resources we have."

A pigman drags an older black man forward.

"Intelligence scan, initiate." Dalek 1 said, putting its sucker onto the man's face. "Reading brain waves. Low intelligence."

"You calling me stupid?" The man exclaimed.

"Silence! This one will become a pig slave. Next."

"No, let go of me. I'm not becoming one of them. No! No." The man said, as he is dragged away.

"Intelligence scan. Initiate."

"They're divided into two groups. High intelligence and low intelligence. The low intelligence are taken to become pig slaves like me." Laszlo said.

"That's messed up." Homura said. "If they're using people like that."

"It isn't normal. It isn't human." I said, sadly. "I know. It's just as messed up as the Incubator using prepubescent girls as fuel, once they've acquired enough grief seeds."

"Fair point. Daleks and the Incubators are similar. And so is the Cybermen."

"And the others?" The Doctor asked.

"They're taken to the laboratory." Laszlo said.

"Why? What for?"

"I don't know. The masters only call it the Final Experiment."

The Dalek has scanned Frank, "Superior intelligence."

"Crap, Madoka and Sayaka aren't human anymore." I said, while the Dalek reached Martha. "They have to fall back."

"You're right. That'll raise suspicion for the Daleks." Homura said. "Especially if they find out that Madoka is the Law of Cycles."

"We need to pull them back somehow." I said, but Madoka and Sayaka have perception filters around their necks. "Clever girls. They thought this through."

"We are not human. Prisoners of high intelligence will be taken to the transgenic laboratory." Dalek 1 said.

"Look out, they're moving!" The Doctor said.

Laszlo leads Tallulah away, but the Doctor, Homura, and I stay.

"Doctor. Doctor, Homura, Jared, quickly!" Laszlo said.

"We're not coming. I've got an idea. You go."

"Laszlo, come on." Tallulah said.

"Can you remember the way?" Laszlo asked.

"Sayaka, look." Madoka said, turning around to see me and Homura there.

"Hi." Sayaka said, smiling.

"Have they noticed you?" I asked. "The Daleks?"

"No, they didn't. It must be these necklaces that the TARDIS gave us."

Tallulah leaves. Laszlo, the Doctor, Homura, and I let the Daleks glide past then join with the humans following.

"So, how have you been, Sayaka?" I asked.

"Good. I thought about leaving my Soul Gem behind as a clue. But then…"

"Then you remembered the 100 meter limit." Homura said.

Meanwhile, Tallulah gets lost in the sewer tunnels.

Dalek laboratory…

The Daleks don't realise they have six extra prisoners.

"Report." Dalek 1 said.

"Dalek Sec is in the final stage of evolution." Dalek Thay said.

"Scan him. Prepare for birth." A Dalek said.

"Evolution?" Homura asked. "What evolution?"

"What's wrong with old Charlie boy over there? Martha asked.

"Ask them." The Doctor said.

"What, me? Don't be daft." Martha said, angrily.

"The Doctor, Homura, Madoka, Sayaka, and I don't want to get noticed." I said, holding Sayaka's hand. "Ask them what's going on out there."

"Daleks, I demand to be told. What is this Final Experiment? Report!"

"You will bear witness." Dalek 1 said.

"To what?"

"This is the dawn of a new age."

"What does that mean?" Martha asked.

"We are the only four Daleks in existence, so the species must evolve a life outside the shell. The Children of Skaro must walk again."

Sec's shell stops smoking and the light goes out in its eye stalk. The casing opens and a biped struggles out. The casing shuts and the biped straightens.

"What is it?" Martha asked.

It has the one-eyed head and hands of a Dalek blob, but is wearing Mister Diagoras' suit. It takes a deep breath and speaks with Diagoras' accent.

"I am a human Dalek. I am your future." Sec said.
