Chapter 3

An Hour Later.

Natalia stood before Evan's villa in a daze. She had called Mrs. Susan only to realize she is on her way to airport. She is leaving this country for a while to take a break from everything.

Natalia entered inside the villa after a long time of hesitation. Inside all furniture were covered in white cloths. The seen aroused a bitterness in her heart. The owner is no more here anyways…

Forcing herself to calm down Natalie went upstairs, straight to Evan's bedroom. Mrs. Susan told her that what he should see is inside his room.

When Natalie reached out to unlock the door knob, she paused for a while. She don't know but her heart was getting more and more heavy as she pushed open the door.

Before her was a French designed bedroom in black and grey. Like the other rooms, the furniture here were also covered. Except the table beside the bed.

Natalia walked towards the table in a daze. When she reached beside it, her eyes were locked on a crystal ball on it. She take the crystal ball in her hands and a sudden shock and panic flashed in her eyes.

Inside crystal ball was a winter theme scenery with two cute little snowman. The tiny things hold their hands and their surroundings were covered in pure white snow. One of the snowman has a red scarf around its neck and the other have a tiny tie on it and both of them have the same red and white dot patterned hats too. They are obviously couple snowman. There was a red bow outside the crystal ball attached to the red ribbon which was covering it whole a round.

Natalia stared at the crystal ball with her eye lashes trembling slightly. The whole villa emitted a deadly silence, only Natalia's widely beating heart beat could be heard. Gathering all the strength she could muster, she slowly turned the back side of the crystal ball, there was some writing on the ribbon behind it.

Seeing what had written there, Natalia lost the strength of her hands, the crystal ball fell on the floor and shuttering

into pieces. In the silence the shuttering noise echoed for a few seconds…

When the noise continuously rushed into her ears, a memory from a decade ago flashed in her mind, just like yesterday she could see where and when she had seen the crystal ball.
