Chapter 9

"Hey Mom," Ashley said as she enters surprisingly she found no one in the living room "Mom?" She drop her bag and books on the chair and heeded to the kitchen luckily she found her mom chopping an onion with headphones on Ashley frowned that's probably why she can't hear her calling her the whole time "Mom" She moves close to her and remove the headphone on her head, Laura jolted "oh Ashley you came early"

"Yes because I skip night class" Laura snatches the headphone "Go and get the change you could have just walked into your room without ruining the mood"

"Okay I get it, what's the name of that song that got you carried away"

"Eric's newly released album, when it hurts" Ashley grunts "Everyone is just crazy listening to that song I mean, it is not even interesting" Laura faces her "Just because he breaks your heart doesn't mean you can shade his songs you may hate him differently but not his songs" Ashley grunt slapping her hand on her forehead "mom how many times have we talk about this, he did not break my heart we were just friends and that was two years back you can expect me to cling unto those friendship memories" Laura smirk "go and shower then come back for your dinner" Ashley turns her back "okay mom, thank you for preparing the dinner" she smiles and runs off Laura giggles and shook her head "rascal"

Somewhere in the big ocean, Eric was flying back to Frost country with his private jet closing his eyes and humming, after a year he had left Frost country he has finally returned there but not with who he was, as he was humming memorizing his upcoming song he was going to do at the studio while Kimberly his girlfriend sites beside him resting her hand on his head and caressing her hair down to her cheek, causing Eric to smile "Kim you are pushing it again you don't want me to pin you down here do you?" He ask opening his eyes "If I don't want you to pin me down to this chair I won't be here" she whispered seductively, Eric turn to her his lip curving up in a smirk his finger trace her cheek to her cheek then lean his lip closer to hers "hey girlfriend I love to but not here, am super tired" he kisses her then pull away "just kidding though I know you are tired we still have tonight for that" she leans and gave him a peck on his lips "you are driving me crazy Kim" Eric closes his eyes biting his lips, Kimberly laughs "am just getting started baby, I've done nothing yet" they both laugh.

       Eric and Kimberly's jet landed they both step out of the plane walking hands in hands they wore their sunglass to be unseen by fans and journalists and entered the Mercedes Benz already waiting for them outside the airport, Eric look around the street as the car moves this city is full of memories, memories he left and had forgotten drawing in a sharp breath he removed his glasses to take a proper look at the street "everything has changed so much" he said "really?" Kimberly ask "Yes a lot has changed" he smirked "I can never believe it is two years already" he sit back "Baby you know I don't like seeing you look so sad" He turn to her "I know Kim" he took her palm and kiss it.

      They arrived at the front of a gigantic mansion they drove inside and park the car at the parking lot, Eric mom, Jenny and his dad Rowland were already there waiting for them seeing them Eric gets down from the car and smile "Mum" Jenny runs towards him and threw herself into his embrace "my son" she said "hey mom it's so embarrassing Kimberly is here" he grunts, Jenny pull away and hit him "am not a kid any more mum" he inhales "you will always be my little boy Eric" she smiles "hey mum" Kimberly walk towards Jenny with a smile "hey Kim" Jenny turn her back Kimberly look at Eric surprised isn't his mother happy to see her? Noticing her expression Eric held her palm and give her a reassuring smile "Eric" Rowland his father said "Da... Dad" he stuttered he knew he didn't like him becoming a musician and would give him an attitude when he returned but he look sad and hurt "welcome home" he patted his shoulder "tha... Thank you dad" he said with his eyes widen he was expecting him to yell at him just like he always does but he is welcoming him back? "And you too Kimberly it's nice to finally meet you," Rowland said "My pleasure uncle" she smile Rowland nodded "I will see you later" He turn his back and left, the servants were already packing Kimberly and Eric's luggage inside when Jenny steps out of the house once again approaching them, "I think you should enter and rest before the family get together tonight," she said and Eric grunt "I know it is a mistake coming home tonight" Kimberly giggles "it's not Eric I will finally get to meet your family" Jenny scoffs "very well then..." She said "Okay let's go shall we" She added Kimberly took Eric's palm as they all entered the house.

      It was 8 pm the dinner was already prepared Eric sat down on a couch in the living room going through his phone and smiling "You here too?..." Felix and Layla walk towards him hands in hands, Eric slowly raises his head to look at the person behind the voice and it turns out to be Felix and his ex-girlfriend Layla "Hey Eric..." Eric smirked darkly and put his phone beside her resting his back on the couch "Heard you are a big star now" Felix said "Finally I get to see the married couple it's been two years already" Eric replied curtly with a smirk "yes... So how's Ashley are you guys still together?" Felix asks "Hey babe..." Kimberly walks towards Eric smiling and sitting on his lap then kissing his lips "Kim... You ready" he asks brushing her hair "Yes I am" She smiles then her gaze shifts back to the couple before her "Who are they" Kimberly asked  "Oh... Meet Felix my cousin and his wife"

"Oh sorry I didn't know" Kimberly tried to stand up but Eric's hand pin her down "Babe just save it they are not worth it," he said mockingly Kimberly's lips parted in shock her gaze shifted barely at Felix then back at Layla, Felix clench his fist together suppressing his anger "your girlfriend? I guess you abandon Ashley," he said with a slight smirk, Eric rolls his eyes inhale sharply and stand Kimberly up from his laps as he also stands up "the same way YOU abandoned her" he walks away angrily hitting his shoulder, Kimberly's eyes darted who is Ashley the conversation between them is friendly aren't they close? They were family why did Eric say she should not greet him, various unanswered questions filled her head "We should go honey" Layla said facing Felix "Get your hands off" He push her slightly away.
