Chapter 4

The next day, Ashley got up early at 7 am to get ready for her date with Ashley, she yawns and stretches herself "good morning world" she stood up from the bed and look at her reflection in the mirror she had always loved her curled hair maybe it's high time she does something about it, she enters the bathroom and takes her bath after bathing she wore blue off shoulder short gown and tie her hair up in bun leaving some strand of it to fall on her face she almost forgot about what happened as her thought is occupied with Ashley, she applied little lotions of power on her face and pink lip gloss on her lips, she smiles twirling in her short gown taking a final look at herself, "guess am good to go now" she smiles and a pack her script then leave the room.

      while descending the stair she saw her mom already arranging her breakfast on the table "good morning mom"

"sweetie, good morning" she smile at her, Ashley peck her mom and drew back, she stare down at her and her face finally caught the makeup up on her face "woah... any special events today? I remember you hate wearing makeup"

"yes, I got a date with Eric and he is gonna help me with my song script too" her mom turns her back on her, arranging the food on the table, "I think you should stop hanging out with this Eric of yours everyone knows who he is, he is related with Felix, rich and his whole family were well known he will break you just like his cousin does"

"Mom, we are just friends" her mom turn to her "love starts with friendship Ashley"

"I know mom, but you never knew that the girl Felix got engaged with yesterday is Eric's girlfriend" she crossed her arm over her chest cocking her head "what?" she exclaim "yes mum, just to let you know Eric is never like that he values our friendship so much" Ashley heard the car hoots, she walks towards the open and open the curtains peeping out through the window "it's Eric" she smiles brightly and close the curtains turning back to her mom "he is still not worth it" Ashley grunt "mom?!!" she walks close to him "did you hate him or his family," Ashley asks "both, invite him in and I will change my opinion about him" she walks away, Ashley facepalm frustrated.

"Eric!!!" she dash towards him, she was caught in awe sighting him he was indeed taking their deal remarkably he was wearing a white casual shirt and blue trousers, the first two buttons of his shirt were left unbuttoned his hair was slick back and had his exclusive long earring on his left ear, "Baby, are you ready?" he asks, Ashley chuckles "yes I am"

"okay let's go" he said "wait... Mom wants to see you"

"Why?"

"I don't know... I told her you are just a friend but she insisted... you can... reject it if you don't want to"

"let's see her then" she smirk and walk past her, digging his hand into his  pocket Ashley lips parted she didn't expect him to agree to easily, she blush and walk after him "wait for me" she giggles.

      they both enter they saw Ashley mom sitting on the dinning having her breakfast "mom" she held Eric hand and walk towards her mum "this is... Eric" she pressed her lips together Laura raise her head to look at Eric he is very handsome just like Ashley use to say "you are Eric?" she said looking at him sternly "yes ma'am"

"a player I guess? have your seat" they both walk towards the dinning Eric pull out a chair for Ashley, she smile and sit down as he also sit besides her "do you love my daughter?" she suddenly ask causing Ashley to cough out "mom!!" she turn to Eric "Eric am really so..."

"I didn't say I am annoy Ashley" he smirk at her gazing back at Laura "yes ma'am, I love her so much and I cherish our friendship" he smile, Ashley tugged her hair behind her ear blushing hard, what's this, it is barely a day Felix dumped her and she's already growing weird feelings for Eric? impossible she stare at him but she already caught him staring she bit her lower lips lowering her head to cover her redden face "don't give me those lovers look and get going already" she puff her cheek and raise up her head looking at her mom and Eric repeatedly "mom... what?... I... we... are..."

"just friends" Laura cuts in, inhaling sharply "mom..." Ashley grunt and Eric laugh "there is nothing funny here... let's get out of here" she stands up "thank you fo the treat ma'am"

"that's fine, you can just call me aunty" she smile at him "Ashley, can you wait outside I want to speak with Eric in private please?" Ashley threw her mom a questioning look "nah, it's fine I won't bully him" she shot her daughter a playful wink "okay mom, if you say so" she took one last glance worriedly at her mom and Eric before she step out of the house to wait for Eric by the car.

it's been thirty minutes already Ashley is really getting worried hoping her mum is not yelling at Eric or tell him to cut ties with her, she may lose everything else in the world, love and her singing career but the only thing she care for and can't stand to lose is Eric, his friendship and his undying love he made her forget about Felix and move on so quick he is like a guardian specially made for her, sooner she saw Eric coming out from the house smiling, she heave in relieve that smile on his face says something "let go" bringing out his car key "wait... Eric did mum scold you?" he puff his cheek slightly "hm?... if she did I would have sent you back inside, hop in" he open the car door "what did she discuss with you" Eric scoff "it is a secret"

"a secret you can't possibly tell me?" Donald look around and lean on his car "inquisitive Abigail why do you think a secret is call a secret" she puff her cheek and blink several times at him "that's it, a secret remains an untold story Abi" he smirks and enter the car "just tell m a bit" she also enter the car after him "no" he turns on the car "just a little bit" she ask cutely "still no"

"uncle Donald" she rest her hand on her chin and wink her cute eyelashes at him "call me daddy and I'll tell you" he tease, Abi sit up jerking her back on the car "fine, keep it to yourself, I don't want to know about it anyway" Donald laugh and drive off "it's better you don't".
