Chapter 868: Ticking
Having never interacted with his wife, Ian's attorneys were shocked by what they were up against. At the end of the session, they were able to determine that she sensed her defeat, and goaded her husband into an argument, wanting to frame their relationship as 'explosive,' the exact words the mediator used in the documents he provided to them. Fortunately, he was out as mediator, so they would have a chance to vote on a new one, but the notes were damning to Ian, who, as a man much bigger than his wife, was labeled as aggressive.
"I told you that she was an amazing woman, how did you allow this to happen?" Lucas asked, looking over the documents in shock.
"She doesn't have representation, and the law was only just changed, we didn't realize she would figure out loopholes in the system so quickly."
