Chapter 787: Fault
Ian knew he would not find Mina unless she wanted to be found. So, in preparation for what he felt was inevitable, he tripled his security detail, made sure that he drove in a double armored car, and had his office scanned for explosives and security breach devices before he arrived. When he was told that everything was clear, he went to work, hoping that he would run into the woman. However, not only had she not been to the office, but, if her assistants could be believed, she had not even called. Ian found that highly unlikely, still, he chose to believe Gale and did the only thing he could think to do; call his father.
"Dad, I think Mina is going to kill me."
"What did you do?" Lucas questioned.
"Why did I have to do anything? What if she just decided to kill me?"
