Chapter 205: Drama
Mina grabbed her measly $23 worth of supplies and slammed shut the door of President Lee's car. His actions had to be planned. There was no way that he could have thought she would have allowed him to pay for the jewelry she was wearing when she had not even permitted him to buy her food.
In hindsight, Mina believed that President Lee was probably trying to make sure that she could not save any money of her own. It probably worried him that she would gain too much independence if she had access to her own finances. It was the only thing Mina could think of.
On top of that, President Lee did not just make her pay for the earrings, but she also had to pay for the gift he had promised the manager's daughter as well. Mina liked children, but not 'spend $500 on a necklace' liked them.
