Decision of A Lifetime

It was a decision of a lifetime to drop her gun from the position she had on Vincent's stomach that could have proved to be vital for her survival, but it had to be done.

Running a hand down Vincent's hair, she forced herself to relax to let Vincent know that she wasn't planning to run away, and his grip on her softened as he continued to feed from her.

Vincent was dripping blood onto her from the deep grooves of his torso, and it didn't take long for the warm pool of blood to start to pool up in her lap where the material of her dress was catching it all.

She didn't want to take a long winding inspection at the wounds considering that she had already seen enough carnage over the last few hours. Charlotte couldn't even get a good look over his body to check for more injuries since he was completely on top of her.

Vincent lifted her slightly off the floor, and Charlotte wrapped her legs around him so that she could sit on top of him to give him a slightly more comfortable position for him to hold her rather than pinning her to the wall.

His face seemed fine with no scratches or anything with the exception of the pale skin if not even paler than it normally was, a clear sign of his condition that was starting to warm up after a few drops of her blood. His eyes were closed with his lovely dark eyelashes fanning up, and his facial expression went lax as if he were asleep in a peaceful manner.

Lifting her gaze, she saw that Lucia was watching with her mouth dropped open, her eyes only widening as she took in what was unbelievable and found her feet rooted to the floor from the disbelief which was what Charlotte had once seen months ago. Charlotte didn't know what she expecting when she reunited with Vincent again, but now Lucia was exposed to the vampires.

Lucia would likely be hunted down by the vampires if she escaped now, but Charlotte wanted to give Lucia a chance at life. Not at death. But it was already too late since Lucia had already seen too much which could cost her life.

Would Lucia have to bargain with the vampires as Charlotte had done? Charlotte sighed. Right now wasn't the time to ponder such matters.

A handsome tall man with tired eyes came from the shadows with his hands crossed across his broad form with his uninterested attitude falling onto her and Vincent as if it was something he saw every day. He gave an air of death, and Charlotte sincerely hoped that they didn't feed from any other humans to the point of killing them.

His golden eyes screamed that he was merciless as was Vincent when she had first met him and only instilled fear just by his simple presence. The chills running down her spine made her realize that his presence was chilly, and Charlotte watched as the man leaned his back against the wall and ran a hand through his tawny hair that was longer on the top and cropped along the sides.

There was blood dripping down his dark-colored button-up shirt that was ripped on the shoulder to reveal a dark scratch that looked like teeth marks rather than a cut from a sharp blade. The metal chains on his neck would have made him look gaudy if he didn't give off the regal air that he had around him.

He was wearing black latex gloves, and Charlotte titled her head since she could figure out what it would be for. With her head out of the way, Vincent took the opportunity to squeeze in tighter and his hold on slackened a little bit, and Charlotte lifted her chin to place it down on Vincent's fluffy hair.

Charlotte eyed Lucia who was still frozen and knew that she needed to buy time for Lucia to get her act together and start running. Still continuing to rub Vincent's shoulder, she spoke first. "Did you guys kill anyone?"

The man smirked. "Huh, you sound just like Vincent."

Charlotte frowned. "Answer my question."

"No, we did not. The scent of blood in here is my own."

Charlotte flicked her eyes over at him. It still didn't explain all the blood on the walls right outside the doors, but she had to figure out what happened first. "You must be Stone, correct?"

He dipped his chin down in a nod. "Yes, I am. Do not be shocked by Vincent's condition since he needs a large amount of blood to help him recover from the substantial damages dealt to his body that would put a normal vampire down for a while. He's about to go into blood lust right about now."

"Wait, what?" Charlotte exclaimed.

And cue Vincent beginning to grind his hardness into her thigh. Charlotte bit down on her lips to try and muffle her gasp, but she slid a glare over at Stone. "Mind giving me more context?"
