Sixteen

The next morning I woke up satisfied, I was locked in Jade's arms, yet it was she who had asked me not to touch her, and she slept even more than I did.

I take the time to look at her, and she is really lovely, I wish it was like that every morning. I would like to get up and see her sleeping face.

"It's time to wake up Jade," I say as I lightly pat her head and she wakes up and notices that she has unwittingly locked me in her arms, and then she takes her arms off me.

"It looks like you slept really well last night," I say sarcastically.

"Shut up Lilith, I don't want to be disturbed as soon as I wake up. " She gets out of my bed.

"I'll be back in your room in 30 minutes, by then you'll be ready." That's the last thing she says to me before she leaves my room, how can she be so sweet and so heartless to me.

I head for the shower then undress and shower. What could Izzy be doing here, and then she said she loved me and was going to get me back, I don't think that's going to happen any time soon.

With all this I remembered that I'm not human either, I didn't even know what I was, and I didn't even dare to ask mum about it. I took my time today in the shower, I needed it and when I finished I brushed my teeth and looked in the mirror, I had a red mark where I had beaten my head last night.

I remember how Izzy was holding me and how she smelled, she smelled of alcohol and how she didn't want me to hate her. I really don't know if I should believe her, it could just be a trap, but her heart was beating really fast.

Her eyes were red with dark circles as if she hadn't been sleeping and had been crying. She looked like she had been drinking a lot. They say that people who are drunk tell the truth.

I finally got out of the shower and decided to get dressed. I went back out onto my balcony and noticed a letter, what could it be doing there. The letter had my name written on it, maybe it was Izzy who had forgotten it here. I put it away in one of my drawers before leaving my room for breakfast.

"Good morning everyone," I said as I sat down, today we had the commander eating with us, which was a bit strange I'd say. But maybe things were going well on Lise's side.

"I heard about one of the demons attacking you princess, I'm here to make sure you're okay. "

"Yes I'm fine, you don't need to worry about that." At the moment there were far more serious things than last night's attack.

"We have to make sure you are protected princess and for that I will be in charge of protecting you from now on."

I had no desire to be protected by him, and then I already had Jade.

"What but you can't protect me. Jade already does that very well, it's because of her that I'm fine."

"Yes I admire the fact that she protects you. But looking at your head wound I can see that she didn't protect you properly."

"You can't just take Jade's place in this way, Commander." frankly, who does he think he is?

"I'm not planning to replace Jade princess, I'll be like a second shield for you. You will have me and Jade at your disposal." I understand better in this case, but he's going to ruin my plan to make Jade fall in love with me.

"Yes I'm listening princess." expect the worst from me.

"You'll also have to watch Louise and then when I'm training with Jade, I don't want you to see you at our training session."

" Well, you seem to be on good terms, I accept," he said as he finished eating, and then I realized that Jade wasn't there.

"Mum, why isn't Jade here?" This is really strange for me.

"Lilith, Jade never eats lunch with us and we never really understood why, you know." What, she never eats lunch with you, I think I'll have to go and join her.

"Mum, I'm going to have breakfast with her. Where's her room?" I wonder where she's been sleeping all this time and how in all these years I've never met her before now.

"She hasn't got a room in the castle, she lives in the forest if you want to get everything." At the same time Jade arrives.

"Why don't you come and eat with us, Jade?" I say, taking her arm.

"No thanks, I'm not really hungry and I've already had my breakfast. I'm just waiting for your training session Lilith."

How could she eat so quickly but if she doesn't want to I can't force her to eat with us. I eat faster because I don't want to keep Jade waiting.

Once we've finished eating we go to the forest where my training will take place.

"I hope you're ready Lilith, " to tell the truth I'm not very ready.

"You could say I'm ready." I'm not at all close and I don't know what this training will be like afterwards.

"Don't worry, everything will be fine Lilith, I just want to know how far your invisibility power can extend. "

"What do you mean by that?"

"I'd like to know if your invisibility could turn an entire army invisible." It seems to me that this is far too complicated and until now I've only used this power on myself and she wants me to make an army disappear, for me it's simply impossible.

"How am I supposed to do that?" I don't think it's Jade who wants me to do that, I think she's been ordered to do that.

"I don't really know myself, the commander asked me to do it, but I think it must be almost the same as when you made the dagger disappear. "

A dagger is easy, it's a small object, it's not like a man.

I sat down and concentrated on Jade, trying to imagine that she was invisible but it didn't work. Maybe the physical contact would work.

" Can you come and sit next to me please" she didn't answer me but she came and sat next to me.

I touch her arm and imagine that she disappears again, but it doesn't work, for several hours that's how our training goes me trying to get her disappear, but that don't work.

"Jade, you couldn't do anything more strenuous than this, you said I was going to sweat during your training, but I'm not out of breath and I'm not sweating at all. "

"Let's get on with the physical training then, I'll show you how to fight even when you don't have a weapon at hand. "

I get into a fighting position and Jade does the same. Jade moves towards me as quickly as possible, and before I know it I was on the ground.

"How did you do that I didn't even see you move. Is it because you're a demon that you're so fast?" That was way too impressive for me.

"No, not really, it's a matter of habit, and you, Lilith, your guarding leaves a lot to be desired, apart from your invisibility, you don't really seem to have any natural talent. "

"Oh I see so let's have a second round I'm sure I'll do better this time." Maybe I'm a little too confident.

We get back into position, and then it's just like before, Jade approaches quickly and this time I decide to try and dodge, it's not really a failure because this time if she only grabbed my arm then I decide to pull her towards me with all my strength, but she falls on me more than anything else.

"It was a nice try Lilith but you didn't think about our weight difference, " she was lying on top of me and I have to admit that she weighs a lot.

Wait, she's lying on top of me, I can try to kiss her then. I look into her eyes and then move my lips closer to hers but at the same time she stands up.

"I don't allow you to flirt with me during training hours Lilith, get up, we'll continue training. ."

I'm a little bit disappointed, but I must continue training. I stand up get back into a fighting position.
