I think I'm falling in love.....

The next morning when I woke up, I saw it was sunny outside and I could hear the birds chirping.

The best way to wake up, I got ready for my day and went downstairs to the kitchen to get something to eat.

"Good morning Aria." Nat greeted me.

I waved back and went to get an apple. I got in the kitchen to see Steve making breakfast.

"Morning Aria, breakfast will be ready shortly." He told me.

"It's fine I'm just going to have an apple and enjoy your breakfast." I said, grabbing the apple and leaving the kitchen.

I walked past Loki on my way to my room. We said our good mornings and carried on. Once I got to my room I got out my music and a notebook.

I had a story idea I wanted to write down so I did.

'Wow it's been a great morning hasn't it' I thought.

Once I finished I decided to head into New York for the day. So I grabbed my coat and shoes, put them on and grabbed my wallet and Ipod and headed to the elevator.

"Jar, please take me to the first floor."

"Of course Aria, should I inform the others that you are heading out?" J.A.R.V.I.S. asked.

"Yeah, but wait to tell them only if they ask where I am and please contact me on my watch if there is a mission I am needed on."

"Of course, Aria have a good day in the city." He responded.

I laughed, he knew exactly where I was going I didn't even tell him. I walked out of the tower and my first stop was to delmars. I heard from Peter that the sandwiches are really good there and I wanted to try it.

"Hello, can I please have a 6" on white bread with turkey and bacon, please." I asked the register guy.

"Coming right up." He responded and started working on the sandwich.

I sat down by a window and put in one headphone and turned on a playlist. This time it was one of the kids from the orphanage's rock playlist. Someone tapped me on my shoulder, I looked up to see someone who looked to be around my age.

"Hey, is this seat open?" He asked, pointing to the seat in front of me.

"No, you are welcome to sit there if you want." I told him.

He nodded and sat down. I assumed he just needed a seat and this was the only available seat so I looked back out the window.

"How has your day been so far?" He asked me.

I looked back over at him and took out my headphone to be respectful," Its been good, how about yours?" I asked.

"It's been fine, what are you up to today in the big city?" He asked.

"Oh, I'm just exploring. I moved recently so I haven't got the chance to enjoy the big city yet." I told him.

Half truth, half lie, it's better than just lying.

"Nice well if you have nothing to really do I could show you around, if you want of course." He said.

I smiled and said,'' That would be very nice thank you, I just have to get my sandwich." I told him.

"Me too." He said.

After that we just chatted for a bit. He seemed really nice. We got our sandwiches and left to explore and it was a lot of fun.

We went to a park, a museum, saw some of the sights and overall just had fun. My watch went off, honestly I forgot it was there, I saw the team needed me for something so I had to head back.

"Thank you for today , I had a lot of fun, but my mom needs me back home now." I told who I know now is Issac.

"No problem I am glad you had fun, this might be a weird question but...could I get your number so we could, I don't know, maybe meet up again sometime." He said rocking back and forth on his heels hands behind his back.

"Sure."

I put my number in his phone and we said goodbye and I went to an alley way and telepoerted to teh alley way by the tower so could get in faster.

"Hey Jar, to the team please." I said happily The elevator started moving," You seem awfully happy, did you have fun in the big city today?" J.A.R.V.I.S asked.

"Yes, I did, I got a sandwitch then a boy was nice enough to show me some of the big city." I said smiling.

"Sounds like alot of fun, I glad you had fun Aria." He siad as the doors opened.

"Thanks Jar, Bye" I said walking out of the elevator into the meeting room. I sat down at my seat with a smile still on my face.

"Great now that Aria has decided to come, why are we here capsicle." Tony said.

"So, Fury needs us to infiltrate a base, but this one is slightly different." Mr. Rogers went on to explain that someone needs to get captured in order to do this. Everyone looked at each other trying to figure out who should get captured minus Tony he was looking straight at me.

I raised my hand.

"Yes, Aria." Steve said. Everyone turned to me.

"I can do it, I have had experience in this kind of situation so it would make logical sense to have me go in and get captured while you guys do the second part." I said.

Some looked unsure, some looked like they were about to flat out say no.

"Okay, sounds good everyone suit up and we will back here soon." Tony said.

He then left and I was about to leave when someone called for me.

"Aria, wait."

It was Steve.

"Yes, Mr. Rogers." I said turning around.

"Are you sure you want to do this we can have someone else do it instead." He said.

"Yes, I'm sure. It makes logical sense why I should and not one of you, I have had experience in both getting captured on purpose and not so I should be the one to do it." I said.

He nodded though he looked like he wanted to say something. I turned back around and headed to my room to get ready.

Once we were on the jet I went to see who was flying it. I saw Matthew.

"Hello." I said. Matthew turned around and saw me.

"Hey Aria." He got up and hugged me, I happily accepted the hug.

"How have you been?" I asked.

"I have been good, so what's the mission this time?" He asked.

"We have to infiltrate a base and I need to get captured so we can do the mission." I told him.

"What!? Aria that is so dangerous why don't one of the others do it?" He asked, concerned.

"Because I have experience in this so it would make sense for me to be the one to do it." I told him.

He sighed and looked at me," Please promise me you will be careful." He asked I nodded and held out my pinky,"Pinky promise."

He hooked his pinky with mine and went back to the cabin area. I sat in the back and looked out the window. I got a message on my phone,'Who would have texted me?'

I opened it to see a text from Issac. I responded and we texted for a bit.

"Hey kid, jump time!'' Tony called.

I sighed and told Issac I would text him later and I got ready to jump. I leaped off the plane and landed near the base.

I snuck in and started downloading files, when  someone walked by and noticed me. We fought and he captured me and took me to the calles, I saw a lot of kids there and the older ones looked saddened to see me walk by.

I probably didn't look the best with a black eye and a limp. They threw me in a cell with someone else and left. Someone immediately ran over to me and pulled me to their lap.

"Are you okay?"  A female voice asked.

"Yes, I'm fine. Who are you?" I asked, still in her lap.

"I am Crystal. What about you?"

"Aria." I told her.

She kept a firm but soft grip on me and we talked quietly. I soon heard banging upstairs.

Crystal's grip tightened on me.

"Dont worry its most likely the Avengers coming to save us." I told her.

"I dont think so." She said worried.

" I do I am an Avenger and I had to get captured and they would rescue me and you guys too." I told her and she seemed less scared now.

I could hear them getting closer so I got out of the safety of Crystal's arms to look out the cell door.

I saw Loki letting everyone out of their cells and having them follow him so I told Crystal she needs to get up and get ready to leave.

She grabbed my hand and Loki opened the cell door and I squeezed Crystal's hand and let go so I could help Loki Crystal moved to the front of the herd right by me. I smiled at this. We opened all the cell doors.

"Okay everyone you are going to follow us and we will get you to safety outside but you have to remain close and quite understood?"

They all nodded their heads. I put a forcefield around everyone but me, I needed them all safe.

We ran into a whole army of Hydra agents. I was ready,  no one will die in this battle.

"I'm sorry Loki." I said sadly, still looking at the agents ready to attack.

"For what? What are you going to do Aria?" Loki asked worriedly.

"This." I said as I put a harder forcefield, which means whoever is inside can not leave unless I let them.

"Aria, No nonnono no don't you do this." Loki said, sounding stressed and worried.

The Hydra agents started  fighting. I would take on one knock them down and sometimes use them as shields so they get shot instead of me but I didn't like to.

I could hear everyone in the forcefield banging on it and yelling, but I didn't let them go. I kept fighting.

I could hear Loki trying to tell the team to help me. Once they heard what I was doing, they started yelling through the coms too. But I didn't listen.

I didn't want anyone to get hurt. My teammates were already busy fighting their own battles.

I continued to fight and I was winning, but someone had a gun I didn't notice and started shooting. I got  in the arm and leg and abdomen.

I disarmed the guy and continued fighting till it was over and all the guards were done. I relished the force field and Loki and Crystal ran to me.

"What the hell were you thinking?!" Loki yelled at me with a worried look on his face.

I collapsed and Crystal caught me.

"Aria!!" She yelled, concerned.

"We need an evac Aria got shot." Loki said into the comms.

"What were you thinking?" Crystal asked softly.

"Couldn't….let….anyone…get..hurt." I said softly.

"Nononono don't you close your eyes." She said.

"Why can't she just heal herself? Isn't that one of her powers or something?" Tony asked.

"No, she can't only others and we are on our way." Nat said.

"Loki ... .take the kids to the jet like we planned I'll be fine." I told him.

"No, not happening, you are injured and I'm not leaving." He said.

"No, you need to…..go." I said softly.

He looked unsure.

"I'll stay with her." Crystal said with my head in her lap.

"....okay." He reluctantly agreed.

He left with everyone. I put force fields around them so they could still move but not get hurt. It was draining me though and I just wanted to sleep.

"Nonononono don't close your eyes Aria, come on." Crystal said.

I couldn't help but ask,"why do you care so much about me…..I'm just some 9 year old with powers…..you met all of 30 minutes ago?"

"Because you are a kid and a sweet one at that and I don't want you to go yet you still have a great life ahead of you to live." she said with tears in her eyes. I nodded and soon after Nat came running.

"Aria!!!" She knelt beside me.

"What did you do?" She asked once she saw the state I was in.

"I did my job." I said softly, just so drained keeping up the shields I put on everyone.

"Stop using your powers, we're fine Aria." Nat said, putting bandages on me.

"Okay," I said and dropped them and started feeling a little better.

"Okay, can you carry her while I lead you guys to the jet?" Nat asked Crystal.

Crystal nodded and picked me up. We headed to the jet and I was so out of it I swear we teleported there.

"Bruce, we need medical ASAP." Nat said getting on the jet.

"Why….Aria!!"Bruce said once he saw me.

They put me on a medical cot and Bruce started working and I passed out. I woke up in the medbay and looked around. I used the call button and Bruce came in.

"Hey Aria, how are you feeling? You gave us quite the scare." He said checking my IV.

"Sorry, I just didn't want anyone getting hurt." I said looking at my hands.

"It's okay, we just need you to be more careful and maybe not barricade off your help." Bruce said light heartedly.

I nodded.

"Okay you're good to go, just no working out and no long strenuous activities." He said.

I nodded and got up and started heading to my room, painfully but still walking. I got to my room and lay down in my bed and got my phone. I saw multiple texts from Issac all asking if I'm okay.

I smiled, he really cared for me even though he only knew me for a few hours. I texted back with a smile on my face at how much he cared. I think I might be falling in love...
