"Always be alert, little one.." said Master while walking beside me and I nodded.

We were walking to the bus stop. After that shadow guy tried to manipulate me, Master has been more alert and.. he has cared about me as well...

𝐵𝑢𝑡 𝑤ℎ𝑦...

Just then I heard the bus honk amd the bus arrived within a few seconds.

"Bye, master.. I will be alert.." I said before getting on the bus and saw him nod through the window. Then I was about to take a seat but all of them were already reserved...

So I sighed and decided to just stand there as I had no other choice. I held a handrail/handle or whatever it was called, it was yellow in colour. I waved at master with my free hand and I smiled a little but as soon as I felt my tail twitching, I stopped smiling and took a deep breath to calm down.

Then I looked out of the window while the bus kept going and I sighed again..

"Hey, Eva!" Alex quickly stood beside me and smiled, "How are you?"

"I am fine, Alex.. Thankyou..." I said quietly and looked down.

"What's wrong, Eva..." His smile faded.

I shook my head and just looked at the window which made he sigh quietly.

"Hey, girl. You are cute." said...a boy and the boy beside him chuckled.

I and Alex turned our heads to look at them. They were some boys...of our class.

Brian and Max. . .

"She is Eva, right?" Brian whispered to Max and he nodded.

I thought of ignoring them and looked out of the window again.

"Don't ignore us, cutie." Brian chuckled.

I growled and clenched my fists.

"Don't say anything to her..." Alex growled and his voice was surprisingly deep.

"What will you do? Hit me?" Brain smirked and they stood up from their seats while the bus was still moving.

Alex growled again, "I wil-"

"No, master- I mean Alex." I quickly held his hand.

Alex glared at Brian and sighed.

"Aw, is he your servant? He seems to obey your every command." said Max with a chuckle.

"Ignore them, Alex. Dogs will keep barking no matter what we do." I looked out of the window with a emotionless expression on my face.

Alex chuckled and so did the other students in the bus.

Max rolled his eyes and sat down on his seat again.

But what I didn't realize was that Alex and I were still holding hands, but I let it be and just sighed whe closing my eyes and thinking about my master. . .

"Eva?" Alex squeezed my hand, it was a soft, gentle squeeze. "What's the matter..? You seem...tense..."

"It's nothing..." I slowly moved my hand away.

Then we finally reached the school and the bus stopped.

This time I didn't wait for Alex and got off the bus while keeping my gaze low and silent.

But then suddenly someone grabbed my waist from behind!

"Brian, let me go!!" I growled and stepped on his foot.

But he let out an evil chuckle, "Such a cute angry bird you are..." He started to squeeze my waist and I growled louder.

𝐹𝑖𝑟𝑠𝑡 𝐿𝑢𝑐𝑖𝑓𝑒𝑟 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑛𝑜𝑤 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝐵𝑟𝑖𝑎𝑛! 𝐼𝑠 𝑚𝑦 𝑤𝑎𝑖𝑠𝑡 𝑎 𝑡𝑜𝑦 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑡𝑜 𝑔𝑟𝑎𝑏, 𝑝𝑢𝑙𝑙 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑠𝑞𝑢𝑒𝑒𝑧𝑒?!

I raised my clenched fist to punch Brian's face but then Alex pushed Brian away while shouting, "Leave her alone!"

I sighed quietly and started to walk to class while Alex followed me.

--𝗔/𝗡'𝘀 𝗣𝗢𝗩--

"I really want to get rid of that Alex..." Claire and Brian both said at the same time and they looked at eachother.

"Do you also want to get rid of Alex too?" They asked in the same time again.

"Of course, I want to." Claire rolled her eyes, "He always pops in the middle."

"Yeah." Brian cracked his knuckles, "We need to do something about it..."

--𝗘𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗳 𝗔/𝗡'𝘀 𝗣𝗢𝗩--

"Eva... Why are you so quiet today?" Alex asked and took a seat next to me while looking at me.

"I just don't feel like talking today..." I said while taking out my books from my bag.

"Hey, have you studied for today's maths test?" I heard someone gossip in the class and I looked at Alex while asking, "We have a maths test today?"

"Um...yeah... I forgot to tell you about that..." He bit his bottom lip nervously.

And just then the teacher; Mr. Simon arrived and we all stood up to say goodmorning to him.

I thought our 1st class will be taken by Miss Elizabeth. But...

"Goodmorning, students. Today Miss Elizabeth is on leave. So I will be taking your class, which means you will have 2 math classes today. Now, I hope all of you have prepared for today's test." said Mr. Simon as he started to distribute the question papers one by one.

I heard some students gossiping but then he shushed them.

"And your time begins now. You can go out of class after you finish the test." He sat down on his chair while looking at his wrist watch.

I sighed quietly and looked down at the question paper.

It was...simple.

Alex's notes had all the formulas which were now needed for this test. I remembered all the formulae and theorems.

As expected, I finished my paper within 10 minutes.

"Mr. Simon, I have completed my test." I said with my hand raised and an emotionless expression on my face.

"What?!" Claire's mouth was open in shock.

Even the whole class was looking at me with big big eyes.

"So quick? I mean, don't call me that. Call me teacher like I said before." Mr. Simon walked to my desk.

"Okay, 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿." I handed him my answer sheet.

"Did you do all the questions?" He asked while turning through the pages.

"That's for you to check, teacher." I said while yawning a little and Alex chuckled quietly.

Then someone knocked at the door sand said, "Excuse me, Mr. Simon. Please come here for a second."

It was Mr. Harry. He is the peon.

"Don't call me that!" Mr. Simon walked towards the door, but he spoke in a gentle way, "What's the matter?"

As soon as Mr. Simon started talking with the peon, most of the students started discussing the answers with eachother and... I yawned again.

𝐵𝑢𝑡 𝑤ℎ𝑦 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝐼 𝑓𝑒𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑠𝑜 𝑠𝑙𝑒𝑒𝑝𝑦 𝑡𝑜𝑑𝑎𝑦...

Then I noticed Alex nervously chewing the pen cap and I looked at his paper.

"You did the exact opposite. You had to subtract this and then multiply it with the x before keeping the power here." I whispered to him.

"Thanks, Ev..." He whispered back while doing the correction.

𝐸𝑣?

"SSHH!!" Mr. Simon walked to the back of the class, keeping his hands behind his back, "Eva. Stand up."

I stood up while trying not to yawn again.

"But why?" Alex whispered under his breath while looking up at me.

"Eva, be honest. Was the whole class discussing the answers when I was outside the class?" Mr. Simon asked with a serious look on his face and the whole class turned to look at me.

I thought for a while and shook my head. "No, teacher."

The teacher looked at me in disbelief, "Can you tell me who were cheating?"

I looked at him and let my eyes scan the class again, "Amber, Brian and Max from the 2nd row, Nico and Kyle from the 1st row, Kate, Oliver, Mark, Charlie and Claire-"

"What?! Teacher, she is talking nonsense! I didn't cheat!" Claire stood up from her seat with her fists clenched.

"Quietly write your own paper, Claire. No one asked for your judgment." said Mr. Simon while fixing his glasses.

Claire glared at me before sitting down on her seat. "You will pay for this..." She muttered with a low growl.

" -10 to those students who cheated." Mr. Simon walked back to his table and the students were like, "Whaaattt??!!"

"Be quiet! And focus on your paper! And Eva, you can go out of class if you want." He said while looking at my paper.

"Okay, teacher." I walked out of class while yawning.

𝐵𝑢𝑡 𝑤ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝐼 𝑠𝑢𝑝𝑝𝑜𝑠𝑒𝑑 𝑡𝑜 𝑔𝑜 𝑛𝑜𝑤?

So I just leaned against the corridor and yawned again.

𝑊ℎ𝑦 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝐼 𝑓𝑒𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑠𝑜 𝑠𝑙𝑒𝑒𝑝𝑦 𝑡𝑜𝑑𝑎𝑦?

"And there's an information for you all. Today the teachers will be busy in a staff meeting. So there won't be any classes after this. But you must stay in the class. Do you understand?" said Mr. Simon while looking at the students.

The students nodded while trying to hide their excitement.

I yawned again and closed my eyes while leaning my head against the wall.

𝑀𝑎𝑦𝑏𝑒 𝐼 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑔𝑒𝑡 𝑠𝑜𝑚𝑒 𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑒 𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑠𝑙𝑒𝑒𝑝 𝑛𝑜𝑤...

"Teacher, I have completed mine!" I heard Alex say and he ran out of class but he stopped when he saw me leaning against the corridor.

"Oh, you are here... I thought you had gone somewhere else.." He laughed nervously.

"Where was I supposed to go?" I yawned again.

"To the school ground, science lab, hall or library?" Alex suggested while keeping his hands in his pockets and my ears perked up, "Library?! Where is it?! Lead me there!"

"Sure. Follow me." He smiled and started walking down the corridor while I followed him.

𝗙𝗘𝗪 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣𝗦 𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥. . .

"This is the library.'' Alex whispered and my eyes widened as soon as I entered the library.

It was so huge and clean and quiet.

No wonder why Master said that this school is expensive.

"It's really huge, I know.." Alex whispered again while letting out a quiet chuckle.

I walked towards the shelves and softly traced my fingertips over the books' covers. But then...

I saw some books and their names were... "𝑀𝑦𝑡ℎ𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝐹𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑠 𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝑉𝑎𝑚𝑝𝑖𝑟𝑒𝑠" "𝐷𝑒𝑎𝑡ℎ 𝑜𝑓 𝑉𝑎𝑚𝑝𝑖𝑟𝑒𝑠" "101 𝑤𝑎𝑦𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝑘𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑎 𝑉𝑎𝑚𝑝𝑖𝑟𝑒" "𝑉𝑎𝑚𝑝𝑖𝑟𝑒𝑠; 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝐵𝑙𝑜𝑜𝑑 𝑆𝑢𝑐𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐵𝑒𝑎𝑠𝑡."

After reading such 𝒏𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒆 book titles, I took a very deep breath while closing my eyes.

𝑀𝐴𝑆𝑇𝐸𝑅 𝑖𝑠 𝑁𝑂𝑇 𝑎 𝐵𝐸𝐴𝑆𝑇!

𝑊𝐻𝑂 𝐷𝐴𝑅𝐸𝑆 𝑇𝑂 𝑊𝑅𝐼𝑇𝐸 𝑆𝑈𝐶𝐻 𝑇𝐻𝐼𝑁𝐺𝑆 𝐴𝐵𝑂𝑈𝑇 𝑀𝑌 𝑀𝐴𝑆𝑇𝐸𝑅?!!

𝐼 𝑆𝑊𝐸𝐴𝑅 𝐼 𝑊𝐼𝐿𝐿 𝑅𝐼𝑃 𝑂𝐹 𝑇𝐻𝐸𝐼𝑅 𝐻-

"Eva! Eva! Are you even listening to me?" Alex shook me by my shoulders and I snapped out of my thoughts.

"𝐼 𝑤𝑜𝑛'𝑡 𝑙𝑒𝑡 𝑎𝑛𝑦𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑡𝑎𝑙𝑘 𝑠ℎ𝑖𝑡 𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝑚𝑦 𝑀𝑎𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑟..." I whispered to myself and grabbed a random book before sitting down at the corner of the library.

"Eva..." Alex sat on a chair across me. "Eva, what's wrong.."

I shook my head and looked down at the book.

"Eva.. please tell me.." He looked me with concern in his eyes and I sighed, "It's nothing.. I am just a little sleepy.." I rested my head down on the table and sighed again.

He placed his hand on my shoulder amd said in a soft voice, "Eva... I know that we just met a few days ago and you don't trust me... But still... You can talk to me, Eva..."

A small smile formed on my lips, then I leaned on my hand while looking at him, "I feel like we are close friends even though we met just a few days ago..."

"Me too..." He said with a smile.

Then we both looked at eachother and chuckled.

"Sshh.." The librarian gave us a glare.

"So tell me about yourself, Al." I whispered while chuckling quietly.

"Al?" He chuckled as well, but quietly. "Well, I like to read, write, play games. And...that's all..." He chuckled again anf I chuckled as well.

"Eva.. are those...fangs?" Alex tilted his head slightly.

My eyes widened for a second but I handled the situation, "No. My canine teeth are just a little sharper than average. That's all." I shrugged.

"I see.." he chuckled again.

Then we both continued talking about eachother, like our hobbies, likes and dislikes, and so on.

But then the bell rang.

"Aww..." He stood up. "We have to go now, Eva."

I nodded and stood up as well.

"As the teacher said, we have to stay in class no matter what." Alex said with a chuckle.

"I know.." I chuckled as well and we both entered the class.

But then suddenly, some boys grabbed Alex from behind and twisted his arms behind his back.

"Alex!" My eyes widened but before I could do anything, Brian grabbed me from behind and pinned me against the wall.

"Brian! What are you doing?!" I growled and pushed him back. "Let him go!" I was about to walk towards Alex but Brian pushed my back against the wall again!

AND OF COURSE, THE WHOLE CLASS WAS WATCHING US LIKE FREAKING 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗭𝗘𝗡 STATUES!

"You told our names to the teacher!" I felt a punch on my stomach.

"DON'T HIT HER!!" Alex shouted but he was struggling too.

"Oh, shut him up." Claire rolled her eyes.

"Claire, why did you punch her so hard? She's mine, remember?" Brian ran his fingers over my cheek.

I growled and gave him a punch on his face. My knuckles were now bleeding but I ignored it.

"How dare you?!" Brian gripped the collar of my shirt and I growled deeply while looking into his eyes. "𝗟𝗲𝘁. 𝗛𝗶𝗺. 𝗚𝗼"
