Chapter 9: Disciplinary Committee

Ding Dong….

"Okay! That's the end of class. I hope you have a wonderful weekend."

"Hey! Nanoha. Let's go and meet that Natsuki girl. She seems more reliable than Hayate."

"Mou, Zero-kun. Don't let Hayate-chan hear you or you'll suffer for sure. I just have the gut feeling that if It's Hayate-chan, she'll manage to do that."

"Did you call me?"

Nanoha and Zero was surprise by the sudden intrusion.

"Nyahaha have you been there for long Hayate-chan?"

"Not really. I just come to pick you up because your case has been heard by the disciplinary Committee and they practically have their own clique."

"No need to worry though. They are kind people. Just don't be on the wrong side or disrupt the academy's peace and everything will be chirpy. Natsuki-chan just seems strict but she's actually a sweetheart specially with Shizuru-san there. There the undisputed Disciplinary duo. One bad One kind. Like the good cop bad cop thing. Hehehe."

"Is that so? I hope they would not be too strict with me. By the way do you know who the guest is. Natsuki-san said that the discipline has to be straighten because there would be special guest coming."

"Ah! About that, the principal and vice-principal came to check on the academy. Unofficially they are already here but they would only be announcing their arrival next week for safety reasons and the likes."

"They say, that it's because of the recent happenings in the academy that they came back. I think they know more about it. And they are here to clarify stuff."

Unbeknownst to them Zero was making interesting faces at the back. One time it was full of worry and the next second exasperation.

He should have known that releasing many pawns in the school would surely attract those two. But he has no choice. He has to find the last two piece of the shard. Nanoha can't be left with a sealed linker core for long. It is even having an effect on her physical and mental health. The Nightmare are the reminders that they have to quickly find it. The time limit is almost near. Even Flameheart is now actively helping them.

If they don't complete the shard and open the gate of flames soon something much horrible than 10 years ago might happen again.

While they were talking, they have arrived at the student council room. There was already noise coming from the room.

Then the door suddenly opened. A red haired girl came out.

"Come back here Noa Yuuki! We are not done talking. When are you finally going to do your job properly."

"Shut Up Mutt! I do my work on my own pace and what's wrong with that. I have a lot more merit doing it on my own than working with those other worthless members. You have no right to scold me. You should be praising me instead."

"Ara, Noa-chan that is not nice. I do agree with you though. Natsuki just let Noa do her thing. She does produce more result than the other members combine. Of course, we're still a bit better but she does have a point."

"Stop spoiling her Shizuru. Her so-called effort is borderline disruptive to the collective rules in the academy itself."

"Mah! This is also true apparently. Noa-chan, please lessen this kind of behavior and maybe both of you can make a compromise."

"Whatever I'm going. I still need to find that mysterious Silver haired boy."

Nanoha and Zero was dumbstruck by the shouting match.

"Eh! Noa-chan are you messing with Nat-chan again. So how did they catch you this time?"

"Shut Up! Tanuki. I was not caught. I was just here to report the weekly assessment. Who would have known that I'd ended up being scolded for doing a good job. It's just not fair."

Natsuki just let out a sigh.

"Hayate did you bring the victim?"

"Oh! Wait are you 'that' Nanoha Takamachi. You sure have bad luck. Nao Yuuki Disciple officer by the way."

She reaches out to give Nanoha a handshake.

Nanoha robotically shake the extended hand.

."Shut up Nao! I though you're in a hurry. Stop dallying already before I change my mind and make you write another 1-thousand-word page for all the broken rules you did this week."

"That's my cue. Bye guys. Nice Meeting you, Nanoha."

Nao then bolted like a few hounds were after her.

"Noa-chan never changes. She's still as silly as ever."

Natsuki let a heavy sigh out while facepalming herself in exasperation.

"Don't spoil her. Do you know how many rules she broke this week. I swear if she was not good at capturing targets. I'll personally capture and confine her ass in the punishment room."

Shizuru and Hayate just giggled at her.

"Ara! Are we forgetting our main guest. Please come in."

Hayate ushered Nanoha in. She pulled a chair out just in front of Natsuki.

"Do you want to drink anything? Juice? Coffee? Tea?"

"Tea for me Shi-chan."

"She's not asking you Hayate. You can get your own drink."

"Nat-chan is still grumpy eh."

Natsuki just gave her a death glare.

"Ok fine. But Shi-chan makes the best tea ever. I would really like to have some. Nanoha-chan you should try it too. You'll regret it if you don't"

"Ok then I would like to have tea as well, please."

Shizuru went to another room to prepare the tea leaving the trio alone.

"The reason we summoned you here is to gather additional information regarding the bullying incidents that you have experienced."

Nanoha was surprised. She thought that she already finished with this talk with Hayate.

"Yes. We know that you have already talked to Hayate but this is not really Hayate's jurisdiction. We hope that you cooperate with us. The occurrence of such a low-class misdemeanor here is truly disheartening, considering that this Academy is a source of national pride."

"Sure. I can even till you the name of those bully. I also have videos as proof."

Zero chimed in. Nanoha just looked at Zero before sighing.

"I'm fed up with those girls. If Nanoha did not stop me I would have already given those bullies their just dessert. I mean Nanoha just transferred here. She hasn't even made any friend and she's already being bullied for no apparent reasons."

"Raging heart. Please pass the necessary file to the lady."

"Will Do." Answered a mechanical female voice.

"That works as well. Please proceed with transferring us the file. I assure you that we will promptly take appropriate actions and provide you with a thorough explanation for these behaviors. Given that it's part of the protocol, it will require some time to verify the video for any tampering or other potential issues. I apologize for the delay."

Just like it was planned Shizuru entered just as the talk was ending.

"Ara is it over already?"

"It's fine Shizuru. I'll just fill you in about what we talked about."

"Ok then. We should finish this snack I brought then. The tea is just right as well."

Shizuru then served Hayate and Nanoha tea while giving Zero a cookie. She brought Natsuki coffee as well as a muffin.

"So, Nat-chan. About our special guest. Is the preparations finish?"

"The student Council part is almost finish in our part. We only need to adjust a bit if something is missing. How about your part."

"Almost finished, it's difficult to admit, but this time Nao has finally succeeded in doing something right. Thanks to her, we were able to complete our preparations successfully. If only she would refrain from breaking the rules, she would undoubtedly become the finest disciple officer."

Natsuki let out a heavy sigh of exasperation.

"Hehehe. Why don't you just admit that even though Nao-chan is also a rule breaker. She's the worthiest of praise for her captures. Every time we have a very difficult culprit, she would always be the first to find and apprehend the offender."

"Don't tell her or you'll just inflate her head."

"By the way I heard you ace your first tactics mock battle. Congrats! Any thought of joining the disciple committee. We would gladly have you. There just this gut feeling I have that it would fit you well."

Natsuki suddenly said to Nanoha.

"Nyahaha. I'll think about it. Thank you for the offer."

Natsuki nodded.

"If ever you're interested just come tell us. We're happy to have you."

The four talked some more before they realize that it was almost time for their curfew.

Somewhere on the outskirts of Uminari

"Hahahaha. You have finally come back. You will no longer be able to runaway this time. Finally, I can finally wake Alicia up."

A derange laughter came after.

"I waited for so long. I can finally complete this formula and wake Alicia up."

"Soon very soon. Alicia darling. You just have to wait a little bit and you will finally wake up again. I should have completed this formula long ago if it was not for that Raven brat."

The woman gently stroked the mechanical tube that contained the slumbering Alicia.

"Ah! My darling Alicia. You are my most priced daughter. Unlike your dumb twin sister, if it was not for her, you would have been with us long ago. Smiling sweetly and gently like before."

"Don't worry baby. I just need the other one and we can finally be reunited."

The woman stated while grabbing onto a small container. A small shard like piece floated at the center of the container.
