What am I? that is the question Mayeux gives him and Aeryon for a moment is really speechless.
In a way, Jayeux is an outsider. He is a person of the Steppe. But he is born in Yan. Yan people hated the people of the Steppe. And so, he sees himself as more of the people of the Steppe
He seen all the darkness and none of the light. What was done to him was monstrous. And so, Yan created a monster.
