Alex becoming a normal person had been the goal all this time, hadn't it? So why was Claire so thrown off by this?

Thinking about her best friend living as a normal man was strange to her because all this time he had seemed like a strange cross between her child and her pet at times. Like she thought before, in a class of his own.
