Chapter 13

He came closer still holding her wrist. Nandini closed her eyes and tilted her head sideways. Manik with his deadly smirk whispered with is husky voice in her ears, "Look, I was just trying to talk to you and its not good that you ignore your boss like this, you have to pay for this Ms. Murthy," his warm breath took her breath away sending shivers down her spine.

Nandini was just too scared to open her eyes as his eyes were too hypnotizing and his smell was breathtaking. She was afraid of her senses, she wanted him to be close and at the same time she wanted to push him hard and run away. He was ruling her heart and mind. She was trying to shut off all of her senses for a while.

Slowly, she opened her eyes fluttering her eyelashes hard. He stared down at her heatedly and with such intensity, he tucked her hair strand behind her ear which was on her face and he started moving his hand on her bare back sensing her soft skin. She smelled like strawberry which made him lose his senses. He slowly slinked his hand on her neck and pulled it up with little force and leaned in and placed soft kisses on her neck and slowly moved on to her jawline brushing his lips, he now moved to her lips.

Nandini was feeling it hard to breathe. She just couldn't hold back anymore she made up her mind pushed him hard "Stop!" She shrieked. "What the hell are you doing, what do you think I am? If you want to say I have done a great job then say it in front of everybody and don't ever try to get intimate with me. I am not that type of girl who would fall for you and yes you are not my type Mr. Malhotra."

"Oh really Ms. Murthy, seems like you were enjoying every bit, infact, moaning! accept it!" he said with devilish smirk.

She was biting her lips, by now clenched her fist breathing heavily she wanted to say many things but she felt her words were eaten up, her throat getting dried up. She felt hopeless.

"What do you want? Next time you do this I am going to charge you in assault case mind it." She jabbed her finger on his chest.

"Fine! don't worry Ms. Murthy, next time you would initiate this you would be doing all this. Take it as a challenge." He chuckled.

"Oh, wow! High hopes. Keep dreaming!!well for your information I believe this was my last day working with you. I call it quits. I will finish my formalities tomorrow. Good bye Mr. Malhotra, if possible try to respect your female employees." Nandini started walking away.

Manik was fuming by now. He stopped her, "In case you have forgotten, let me remind you that you have signed a bond stating if you quit within six months you got to pay the penalty."

Nandini shrugged "Ten lakhs is not a big amount for me. I will pay it and get rid of you."

Manik laughed hysterically "Ok! You have a sweet surprise tomorrow. Ms. Nandini Murthy, come to office tomorrow and know it all by yourself. Well for now, good night and sweet dreams. Oh yes, I know you are going to dream about me getting intimate with me..right? " He caressed his thumb on her lips and left!

Nandini was blank. "What the hell just happened I hope it's a bad dream." She pinched herself "Oouch!!"

She screeched in pain.

"Oh my gosh this ain't a dream."

She slowly walked towards her car, exhausted.

Manik was thinking while driving.

What just happened was completely out of his control. Why couldn't he hold himself seeing her. She was looking incredibly beautiful, just like a temptress. How could he be so vulnerable. For God's sake, he was already in a relationship. How can his love be so fragile. LOVE?! Did he even love his girlfriend? It's been a year since they were in a relationship and they were going strong. But then why does he get so restless whenever he sees Nandini? Sadly, he had no answers.

Ever since she had entered his life he was becoming aggressive and always wanted to be with her. It can't be love but what's it? Had she not stopped him today, he would have kissed her. How could he fall so weak. Why does that girl make him so crazy? Never has he ever been like this with any other girl. Gosh..but he can't let Nandini resign. Why does he get so jealous when he sees Maddy with Nandini. Even though they fight with each other he couldn't stand that. Oh god, where is his thought process going? He needed to clarify everything really soon. He needed to talk to his dad asap. He couldn't deal with these speculations anymore.

He got a call and he received it through blue tooth.

"Hey Babe, what's up I was missing you how did the event go? Did you miss me too?" A female voice prompted from other side.

"Hmmm yea, it was great. In fact, the best event. So how are you how did your fashion show go?"

"Oh it was super successful show. Everyone were singing praises. I will send you pics and videos soon, my love, ok, I got to go now talk to you later. Love you babe. Bye." She ended the call.

Manik was hesitant to say "I love you too," he just managed to say "bye baby and take care."

Manik reached his mansion and his dad stopped him in the living room saying he wanted to discuss something really important with him.

Manik sat with his dad on the couch.

"Manik, I and your mom have decided something about you. Next week, you will be meeting up my friend's daughter, who is a doctor by profession. So just meet her. Marriage and all can be decided later. But you can't deny as that girl is one of the best match for you." His dad said commandingly.

"W-W-What????? Are you saying you are fixing my marriage? That too arranged marriage?" Manik asked shockingly.
