Chapter 34 : The Battle

Damien was still trying to finding his way through the tunnel as there where no light he had managed to give a good distance from the castle but was still struggling to find his way out. He was already half way through the tunnel when he heard water droplets fall noticing this he ran towards the source when he suddenly saw a tiny hint of light at the other end of the tunnel.

Running towards it Damien noticed it was a way out of the tunnel but it was leading upwards so he flew straight towards the light but it wasn't opened it had a iron barricade covering it. Damien held the barricade firmly before pulling it removing it from its place as he flew out and placed it back.

looking at it from the front it seemed to be an abandoned gutter. Damien immediately left the place as he started walking using his spells to increase his speed. When he got to Nakuru village he heard a man make an announcement to the public as people surrounded him at once. The man stood on a podium as he yelled.

"greetings people of Avalon and the natives of Nakuru dynasty I come bearing news from the royal palace per the decree of His Majesty Emperor Garcias he hereby changes the leadership of the Nakuru dynasty from the Corren family and hands it over to a new leader who shall be arriving at soon" he stated leaving a field of gasps and murmurs.

Hearing this announcement Damien hurriedly turned to leave but before he could take a step he saw ten horses ride past the crowd as a man was being escorted to the Corren's mansion staring at him Damien immediately recognized him as the first demon General of the Emperors army and he was escorted by ten demon soldiers. seeing this Damien knew that they had to get ready for a massive war between their group and the Emperors army and with this now their chances had dropped by a thousand percent. Without hesitation Damien ran as he followed a different route to the valley so as to avoid getting caught.

the army that was been lead by General Mawson and the demon General had already met Alexander and sell swords.

Seeing the army ahead Alex and the crew attacked as a fierce battle ensued in the woods as either sides seemed to have any advantage over the other.

While the battle went on Damien on the other hand had just gotten to the valley but noticed that they weren't many people there. Walking towards them he saw Kelvin.

"hey Damien they have rescued you wow that was fast but were are there" Kelvin asked

"they have left" Damien asked dropping the bags of gold

"yeah weren't they the ones who rescued you?" Kelvin asked

"no I escaped but what where they planning to do?" Damien asked

"well they left to attack the palace so they could rescue you but now you're here" Kelvin said

"well I wasn't the only one heading this way an army was headed here to so they are in a dip shit" Damien replied as he ran towards the horses

" Damien you are back" Natasha said running towards him

"yes I am but I have to go your brother and the others are in danger" Damien said as he mounted the horse

"well then I am coming with you " she stated as she mounted another horse galloping into the woods.

The battle had gotten intense as the advantage had been tipped into the favour of the Emperor's soldier as the demon General had gotten involved with the war as he fought and struck down soldiers quicker than they had thought. He had already killed four men the moment he joined the battle scanning the battlefield he set his eyes on Alex who was battling General Mawson noticing that the General wasn't capable of defeating Alex he ran straight for Alex killing everyone who obstructed him. Gripping his sword firmly he released a mighty wave ofi dissipating energy aimed at Alex but before it even got close to him the energy was blown away by a massive gush of wind directing the energy towards his men as it dissipated them turning them into ash.

Looking in the direction the wind had blown from all he saw was a sword coming straight at him,raising his sword he blocked the attack but the power of the attack was really strong as it sent him flying q

and crashing to he ground.

"Alex you should know better than to come back for me" Damien said as he jumped of the horse holding the sword firmly.

"ha it seems so" Alex said

"General Mawson I warned you what will happen if you did come back here" Damien said as he used an impulsive spell swinging the sword it tore the General in half before he focused his attention on the demon General running straight to him he swung the great sword at him releasing a blue blast that threw the General back but before he could land Damien had stabbed his chest creating a big hole in it before he sliced his head off shocking everyone including the demons as they ran back to protect themselves but still before they could move their heads fell as Damien stood holding the sword up. Alex and Natasha were shocked at Damien's killing instinct which they never knew was there and what also suprised them was the strength that he had. Damien on the other hand felt an immense surge of power run through him as his eyes had a bright hint of gold in them as he felt like exploding

"it seems your friend is pretty strong afterall there was no need for a rescue plan" Asha said smiling but Damien didn't move from his spot

"Damien are you okay?" Natasha asked noticing his unmoving state but before she could touch him his mouth opened releasing a massive blast of fire that instantly burnt all trees it touched the heat of the fire was so intense that the water barrier Natasha had used to protect herself from it was turned to steam immediately. After the massive blast Damien passed out as he dropped to the ground.
