Chapter 31 : Dangerous Times

Damien was still chained as he bleed from his wounds he was dizzy as he eyes bulged out he looked dirty and rough as his hands shook.

"release him " Damien heard Penelope's voice ordering the guard to release him as he looked up at her

"my father has given you a chance all you have to do is join us and help us" she said walking towards him

"and why would I do that" Damien replied in a low voice

"well maybe because the people you are fighting for don't even respect you and they wouldn't fight for you if you where in their place" she yelled angrily

"so how does that concern you really?" Damien asked

"hmm I guess it really doesn't" she said signaling the guard to release him.

Alex and the group had gotten to the camp as tents had already been set and some soldiers had started a fire

"prince Alex you are back but where's Damien?" Raia asked Alex

"no he was captured and we need to go back for him" Alex replied

"but your Highness we don't have the numbers to attack the Grandmaster army" Raia said

"how many are we?" Natasha asked

"about thirty four altogether and that was including Damien and her Majesty so now we are thirty two" Raia replied

"and some men would have to stay back for security" he added

"then we need men " Alex said "but it wouldn't be easy finding them" he added

"we don't have time they might kill him any time we need to save him before it gets to that" Natasha said

"we could run a stealth operation" a soldier stated

"we can't the security on the palace is tight" Raia replied

"fine do you know anyone who could aid us in this war?" Alex asked

"we could use sell swords" Kelvin said walking towards them

"we don't need to buy more swords " Natasha said

"no sell swords are men who would help you fight that is for a price" Raia said

"fine get as many sell swords as you can" Alex said

Damien had already been released from the cell he had bathed treated his wounds and now he was dressed as he lay on the bed thinking of his to escape this palace but before he could think any further he had slept. Waking up he found himself in the same white room where had been before with that same red door, walking straight to the door Damien tried opening the door but it was strongly shut. After an unsuccessful attempt Damien eventually gave up as he then opened a book from the shelf but still couldn't figure out what language it was written in before he could return the book the place shook as he immediately opened his eyes as he heard a maid voice at the door. He walked towards it and opened the doors letting her in. After she left Damien went back to bed he didn't want to trust that they would leave him just like that. Laying on the bed Damien couldn't sleep but he wondered what that room was he had already gone there twice now and he knew now that it wasn't just a dream so know he was really wondering what that place truly was. After he couldn't think any more Damien decided to learn more spells as he held up his necklace closing his eyes he transported his conciousness into the necklace.

Inside the necklace Damien's conciousness arrived Into the copied library that seemed to be a room which floated in a large space of nothingness, Walking towards the shelve Damien looked for a book that could help him escape from the palace, he searched the whole library for at least a map of the palace as eventually he found the a book of the palace history and architectural designs, pulling the book out Damien went through it as he searched for a tunnel, escape door or whatever way of escape from the castle. Looking through it Damien saw the escape route the guards had used to leave and escape into the woods. After searching through it there were only two new places that Damien found. There was an escape route in the kitchen which lead to the stables while the other was in the throne room and it was an underground route that was meant to lead you go the valley but it was never completed do it lead to the outside of the coast. Trying to figure out which route might be best to take Damien's consciousness was suddenly snapped back into his body as he woke up to see Penelope in his room
