Chapter 18 : How is this Mess

After the dance was over everyone left and headed back for their chambers. Alex and Damien had gone back to Alex's room.

"why did you do that "Damien asked angrily

"so i could get her off my back " Alex replied

"so instead of defying your father's request you pushed it on me "Damien said

"well i didn't push it on you and besides she isn't going to hurt you so you are safe" Alex said heading towards the door

"so she actually wants to hurt you "Damien said "what did you do to her that you are avoiding her so badly?" Damien asked

"i didn't do anything to her i just don't like her" Alex said walking out of the room and heading towards his father's library.

Entering the library Alex was greeted by a mean face of his father.

"well Alexander it was very unwise decision to go against my choice. But since it is your party i cannot intervene in your choices " King Edward said looking at his son

"thank you father "Alex said smiling as he walked towards his father

"take a sit i want to teach you a very strong spell" his father said offering him a chair

Back at Alex room Damien sat as he thought of how he was going to avoid the situation he was put in by Alex but then again he wondered why they all hated Penelope he knew that wasn't just her reputation that made people fear and hate her she must have dond something to get that kind of attention from people but he couldn't figure out what she did. Realizing that he needed to spend more of his time learning more spells than thinking of someone he didn't even know.

He stood up and headed for the library.

As he entered the library he searched for a book he might not have read every book here but he was sure he had read most of them so he kept picking knew spell books after taking about five books he headed for the table before beginning to go through them. He was pretty suprised to know he was able to master strong spells quickly others didn't know but he had already learnt forty eight strong spells and had fifteen defensive ones making his spell to total up to sixty three spells and he still wanted to learn more it was like his magic didn't have limits and he wanted to know how many spells he could learn so he would understand which category he was in.

A normal/low born wizard could learn up to twenty spells without frying their mind but once they try to go above that they literally blow their minds and run insane or die while a high born could master below a hundred spells if they try exceeding that they would be hunted by reddit beasts who is known for absorbing magic from those who are lost while royals are able to cast above a hundred but below two hundred. So now that he had learnt more than twenty he was sure he wasn't a lowborn warlock. and he was right because he was able to still go on.

Sitting there he learnt as many spells as he could although they were all strong spells he hadn't fully strengthened them so on his end he wasn't strong yet

After being there for more than an hour he heard someone open the door and walk in looking up he saw Penelope in a blue fitting dress and a black coat with matching shoes. He couldn't get her style of fashion though but yet she always seemed to look beautiful in anything she wore.

"are you trying to hide from me Page!" she asked staring at the pile of books in front of Damien

"wow so you like reading books " she said smiling at him but Damien didn't reply

"so what you aren't going to talk to me now the silent treatment" she asked

"what do you want me to say to you" Damien said sighing

"well we could talk about that on our stroll " she said

"what stroll?" Damien asked suprised

"hmm me and you are going to take a stroll out the prince picked me as your maiden so we are going to take a stroll to know more about ourselves" she replied as she sat down

"firstly you aren't my maiden i have no idea why Alex picked you and secondly i don't think i would want to go on a stroll with the queen of mind control " he said picking a book and standing up.

"well i know i am not your maiden because the true maiden you like is hmm Princess Natasha and Alexander picked me because he knew that she also liked you and he didn't want her too so he picked me who she wasn't going to push around to get to you and also the stroll is a royal order unless you want to get thrown out of the court which you just entered i suggest you comply " she said as she tried holding his hands but got stopped by Damien as he walked out and they both headed for the garden.

As they got to the garden they saw Alex and Elizabeth holding hands and talking. Damien felt like he had seen a big pile of dirt he felt like vomiting

"well it seems this place is occupied" she said looking at Alex and his maiden before turning to look at Damien noticing the disgusted look on his face

"well lets leave the couple be " she said turning to go back

"since we don't want to disturb their display of affection for each other i say that our stroll is over" Damien said walking away

"it isn't brainstorm where else can we go" she asked

"i don't know now i want to get back to learning my spells so i am off" Damien said

"well i think i know a place " she said smirking as she walked past Damien
