Chapter 10 : Setting a Record

Moving to the next element in the book and reading through Damien formed water and was able to control it.

"well you are quite fast, are you sure you are a beginner?" Alex said looking at the ball of water in Damien's hand

"yes, is it not meant to be quick" Damien asked

"i used two days to master casting the wind and water element then three to master fire and earth " Alex said

"well i haven't mastered these yet" Damien replied

"well i am going to get something are you coming or should i leave you here?" Alex asked

"i will stay at least it might be my last time here so " Damien said

"okay " Alex said tapping Damien's shoulders before leaving. watching him leave Damien kept reading he had already learned earth elemental magic so he was focused on fire element.

"you know you shouldn't try to force it" Damien heard, looking back he didn't see anyone he stood up and turned round but still no one was there

"who is there ?"Damien asked

"ehh me " the person replied becoming visible shocking Damien that he fell to the ground before realizing. smiling the Princess asked

"are you scared, don't worry i dont bite" she smiled walking towards him

"i know that but if i am caught i am going to be beaten" Damien replied rubbing his eyes

"sorry about yesterday i saw my brother punch you for staring at me " she said looking at him

"ehh i wasn't staring like that i was staring ohh fine i was staring" he said noticing the mocking face of the Princess .

"well it doesn't matter why you were staring at me it's not right to injure you over such minor things even if you are his servant" she said "i learn from my servant and she learns from me she qas the one taught me the invisibility spell " she said sitting opposite Damien

"yeah well you could teach him a few things "Damien replied

"i could teach you a few things, i see you are trying to master the fire element " she said looking at him

"uhmm yeah i was still practicing the fire but its not coming through " Damien said looking at her

"well if you want to learn fire you have to let it come through to you " she replied looking at him

"come through how " Damien asked

"you know be calm and patient it will come through there is a part of someone that blaze like a fire you need to connect and control these part of yourself" she said "it is more like a hunger for something what do you hunger for use it to channel your fire " .

Damien followed her instructions but still couldn't get the fure to come out"i cant do it"he said looking down

"don't worry you are still pretty good though i mean even i didn't learn three elementals in one day let alone talk about in an hour so you just set the biggest record an unbeatable one so no need " she said as they both noticed the door open and Alex step in shutting the door he walked towards Damien noticing Damien's expression he asked,

"what happened it looks like you saw a ghost" he said as he placed the book in his hand back on the shelf

"no need to answer i am not ready for a weird answer well i just came to return this book so i am going to spar with some soldiers you are free for the rest of the day but feed my horse before yoy leave " he said walking out of the library as the Princess reappeared next to Damien

"urgh i thoughtyou where over there " he asked

"i wasn't i went to get you these "she said handing two books to Damien

"if you want to set a bigger record you are going to need control over your elementals and you are going to need to strengthen them individually if you are able to do both within two days your record is going to be an unbeatable one" she said handing it over to him

"wont i get in trouble for this " Damien asked

"i would cover for you, but remember two days"she said as she stood up and walked away.
