It is the 42nd Millennium. For more than a hundred centuries The Emperor has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Earth. He is the Master of Mankind by the will of the gods, and master of a million worlds by the might of his inexhaustible armies. He is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with power from the Dark Age of Technology. He is the Carrion Lord of the Imperium for whom a thousand souls are sacrificed every day, so that he may never truly die.
Yet even in his deathless state, the Emperor continues his eternal vigilance. Mighty battlefleets cross the daemon-infested miasma of the Warp, the only route between distant stars, their way lit by the Astronomican, the psychic manifestation of the Emperor's will. Vast armies give battle in his name on uncounted worlds. Greatest amongst his force are Grey Knight, the 666th Space Marines Chapter , bio-engineered super-warriors. Formed during the Horus Heresy, the Grey Knights are a Space Marine Chapter meant to replace the Thousand Sons Legion. The Gene-Seed directly bestowed by the Emperor of Mankind renders the Grey Knights Chapter immune to the curse of the Flesh Change. After the Horus Heresy ended, the Grey Knights had no clear reason for their formation as a Space Marine Chapter, but everything changed after the Curse Founding. The Inquisitor discovered the Grey Knight Chapter, and seeing that all its members were Psykers, the Inquisitor decided to make the Grey Knights the forces of the Ordo Malleus. Under the leadership of Supreme Grand Master Kaldor Draigo and the orders of the Inquisitor to fight all Chaos Space Marines and Chaos Daemons, the Grey Knights have become one of the most feared secret Space Marine Chapters.
To be a man in such times is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the cruelest and most bloody regime imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been forgotten, never to be re-learned. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim dark future there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods.

"Where am I? Why am I in a place with such strong Daemon presence?" I said as I arrived in a rather unfamiliar place. I could feel the tense and frightening atmosphere. "Oh, there's someone here, excuse me..." I said to the person. The individual had long, flowing black hair streaked with strands of grey, resembling a lion's mane adorned with a crown of golden leaves. As the person looked at me, I could see their eyes emitting a strong golden light, radiating immense power. Their golden armor bore a beautiful eagle motif, complemented by a silvery-gold cloak. In their right hand, they wielded a large flaming sword, while a massive clawed weapon adorned their left.
"Can I help you with something?" the person asked. I could see that their mouth didn't move at all, yet somehow, it felt as if the words were directly in my mind, complete with a thick Kainaldian accent.
"I'm curious about this place," I said, feeling perplexed.
"This is The Warp, where dreams and reality blend together," the person responded. "Everything you think of manifests in the Warp, regardless of whether it's good or bad. It's a reflection of the material world, some might even call it the Immaterium... On the other hand, it's also where all souls that have passed gather. This place is also known as the Sea of Souls," he continued. I could see that this person had a muscular and imposing physique.
Once the person finished explaining, I saw four Daemons of immense size appear. The first Daemon emerged clad in glossy black armor, emanating an aura focused solely on war and slaughter. The second Daemon I beheld resembled a creature covered in fur, with numerous heads, eyes, and wings that seemed countless. Its body shimmered in shades of bluish-purple, exuding immense magical power. The third large Daemon I observed was corpulent and slimy, its form adorned with rotting wounds and swirling maggots. Its body gleamed green like slime, emitting a putrid stench. The fourth Daemon I saw possessed an androgynous and perfect physique, exuding both seductive grace and chilling fear. I couldn't discern whether this Daemon was male or female.
"Anathema, do you have another guest?" said the blue Daemon.
"Silence, Tzeench, surely you've already foreseen this," replied the golden-armored figure.
"I can sense that your guest's power is akin to theirs, Anathema..." spoke the green Daemon with an elderly tone.
"Khorne, have you tried with Anathema's guest before... may I test them?" asked the green Daemon.
"Be my guest," replied Daemon Khorne.
"Children, it's time to play," said the green Daemon.
I quickly prepared the katana that had always accompanied me on all adventures. Several humanoid Daemons immediately appeared. They had unnatural appearances, and I could even smell their unpleasant odor. Some of the Daemons had open wounds oozing foul-smelling fluids from their bodies.
I swiftly drew my katana and moved as quickly as I could. What I noticed was that the Daemons moved incredibly slowly, almost sluggishly. Even as I slashed at their bodies, they remained intact. I struck multiple times at each Daemon, ensuring they were completely mutilated. Returning to my initial position, I executed a sweeping strike that seemed to cleave through the space itself, severing them entirely.
After this attack, I sensed the Daemons beginning to move as usual, unaware that they had been cut. I pivoted and unleashed lightning towards the Daemon horde. As soon as the lightning struck, the Daemons were instantly mutilated and vanished without a trace.
"Anathema, this guest of yours is more intriguing than the last one; let them join our game," said the blue Daemon.
"Swift and precise fighting technique, unlike the golden one who came yesterday," remarked the Daemon in glossy black armor.
"Anathema... we shall continue this matter later," spoke the green Daemon with an elderly tone.
"It seems it will be more interesting, Tzeench... I know you have prepared something," chuckled the purple Daemon.
"Of course, it seems it will be more fun," replied the blue Daemon, and all the Daemons began to vanish.
"Emperor, are you alright?" asked a figure clad in golden-yellow armor as they arrived. I saw the person wearing golden-yellow armor and wielding a weapon that combined a spear and a large-caliber pistol.
"I am fine, this individual has helped me," said the Emperor.
"Thank you for... Vergil?" inquired the soldier armed with the spear and pistol.
"How do you know my name?" I asked curiously.
"Of course, I know you very well," said the soldier, removing his helmet.
"Dante...?!" I exclaimed in shock.
"So, you two already know each other?" asked the person referred to as Emperor by Dante.
"Of course, he is my twin brother, or more precisely... the eldest of our four siblings," Dante said flatly.
"Good, in that case, would you be willing to assist me?" asked the Emperor.
"Of course, it begins now," I replied, immediately kneeling in a knightly manner.
"Emperor, he is known as the Daemon Slayer in our world. All daemons tremble at the mention of his name." Dante explained.
"Excellent, then he is well-suited to be a Grey Knight," said the Emperor with great satisfaction.
"We must meet to discuss this, Emperor. Can he be your guest, just as I was before?" Dante asked.
"Of course, and you yourself must bring him," said the Emperor.
"Very well then, Emperor" said Dante.
"Vergil, return now. I will provide you with the coordinates of this dimension later," said Dante. I nodded and awoke from my slumber.
