"No please Ely, hear me first." Adam made Elizabeth's step stop. He rushed from upstairs trying to catch up with her. "I'm sorry, I will not do that again."

Elizabeth's disappointment could still be seen on her round monolid eyes. "Do you think you can?"

He raised his right hand, making a swear gesture, " I promise!"

"You did a few days before but broke it…" Her tones sounded weak, like she was fed up with everything.

"Please, please, please…" Gently reached for her hand, Adam then pulled her for an embrace. 

The embrace didn't last for a minute when Elizabeth pushed him away slowly. "I know what your intention is, but I'm sorry. I really need to ease my mind." She walked away about ten metres ahead with Adam following her at the back.

"Don't follow me." She was serious and Adam thought she was just going to ease her mind around the mansion but seeing her heading to the gate of the mansion, he pulled her hand to stop her.
