Cold Hearted

The two people in the room only look at each other. They didn't know where to start and since it had been years, it must be so awkward.

"So…" Both of them were talking at the same time. Michael chuckled then with a smile on his lips he said, "Okay, you go first."

"I'm sorry…" That was the first thing that she said. The apology should have come earlier but it was delayed because of their situation. "I actually…" She sighed, looking down at her hands that were clasped together, "I actually hesitated to come here because I am embarrassed to face you."

"There is nothing to be embarrassed about Rachel. I understand…" His gentle smile stayed on his face.

"If I didn't choose to leave you and the kids, would it be different for us?" Honestly, she regretted her decision.
