Alexander was out of his mind since the bodyguard came and informed him about Melinda, when he was in the waiting room earlier. He couldn't stop himself from thinking the reason she came here, on his wedding day.
The sudden bridal march that was played by the orchestra snapped him from his wandering mind. From afar, he could see how stunning Camellia's looked. Andrew, her dad was smiling from ear to ear by her side, crossing their arms together.
As the song continued, Alexander couldn't move his eyes from Camelia. It was like the scene in fantasy. He could see flowers petals scattered around her when she walked down the aisle beautifully.
When they arrived at the altar, Andrew shook his hand and patted his back before handing Camellia's hand to him. His brain that messed up since earlier, right now, froze. She glowed like an angel. Her eyes were dazzling and everything about her at that moment was breathtaking. He couldn't express his feelings right now, he knew from the start, she was beautiful but today the word beautiful isn't strong enough to express how enchanting she was.
"Stop smiling." He was shocked with his own words, he was meaning to say it inside his brain because he was almost crazy looking at how her dimples had been stabbing his heart.
Camellia lost her smile on the spot. Luckily, his voice was quite low, only she heard it.
"No no, sorry. That's not what I mean." He tried to fix the situation but Camellia proceeded to the altar.
Camellia's eyes stayed on him as he finished his marriage vows. She was silent then began hers, "As I have spent my whole life looking for my other half, I knew it was you from the moment we met. I vow to express my love for you as often as I breathe each breath." She stopped, taking a deep breath, her eyes were now misty.
She looked down before lifting her face back and continued, "Let us build a home, a life and a family from our bonds of true love and our vows to stick together through all life's challenges and, take my heart, love me forever and I will never leave your side, I am yours." She finished her vows with a feeble smile on her lips as she was holding her overwhelmed feeling.
Alexander was feeling the same. Her words seem so sincere that his heart could feel them. As their eyes met, the officiant prompted the ring bearer to present the rings.
"Ahemm!" The officiant cleared his throat loudly as both of them didn't hear him. He smiled looking at them, "The groom, please place the ring on your bride."
Everyone laughed as they realised that they were so into each other that they couldn't hear anything around them.
"Ah sorry." Alexander quickly took the ring and placed it on her left ring finger. Camellia was doing the same thing and she kept staring at the ring after she placed it on his finger.
The officiant announced them as husband and wife. "You may now kiss your bride."
Their eyes met once again as Camellia raised her chin. Alexander saw a tear dropped from her left eye. He moved his hand, holding her cheek softly and wiped it away before he leaned his face closer to her. Closing her eyes, her heart thumping like crazy because that would be her first kiss and with her first love.
As his lips touched her trembling lips, his smile widened. Her lips did not move at all and she was stiff there. He might as well check if she was still breathing. Chuckling as their lips meet each other, he said, "Relax…" and then left a peck on her lips before moving his face away from her. He wiped the remaining tears and his smile beaming, looking at Camellia who was still closing her eyes. He drew himself closer to her ear, "We are done. If you want more, maybe in a room?"
Shocked with his words, she opened her eyes immediately.
The officiant ended the ceremony with a few closing words and included a blessing for the couple to have a long and happy marriage.
Alexander reached for her hand when they were ready to walk down the aisle to greet the guest that was coming. They walked hand to hand, greeting everyone that was coming today.
"Congratulations!" Adam congratulated them.
"Oppa!" She then mouthed something but Adam couldn't catch it. So she dragged Alexander to go closer to Adam and whispered to his ear while tiptoeing, "is she the one?" She grinned excitedly, glancing secretly at the girl besides Adam to not make it obvious.
Adam didn't answer. He shrugged his shoulders instead, neither affirmed or denied.
"Ah come on." She said did not satisfied with it.
"Later." His answer was short.
Camellia nodded as she understood then reflectly looking at the man beside her. But she was shocked as she received a glaring from him, "What?"
"Nothing." He held her hand and brought her to greet other guests.
Melinda in the room feeling uneasy. She was left there with a glass of juice for three hours already.
'Should I just barge in or should I wait?' She contemplated in her mind. Thinking that three hours were long enough to wait, she stood up before the door to the room opened.
"Alex?" She said waiting for the person behind the door to enter before smiling like she just won a lottery when the person she waited showed his face.
No reaction from Alex. He just stared at her blankly.
Running towards him, she held his hand, "I'm sorry, please. I didn't plan to betray you. My father planned everything and arranged my marriage with him." She looked at him as tears started rolling down her cheeks.
His expressionless face made her nervous but she still continued explaining. "You know I don't love him, I love you and don't worry I signed the divorce paper and am waiting for the marriage to nullify."
Alexander pulled his hand from hers, "I don't know your intention for coming here, but you should know today is my wedding day."
"I know, I know but I also know that you don't love her, right? You still love me."
He laughed to ridicule her words, "Where did you buy your confidence? Online?"
"Please…" She begged him with all her heart.
"Don't ever show your face in front of me anymore. I don't think we have anything to talk about with each other anymore." He said as he turned to walk out from the room.
Melinda stopped him by forcefully hugging him from the back.
"Please, please hear me out." She didn't want to let him go until she tried everything she could to convince him to get back with her.
The door was suddenly pushed open "Alex, are you in there? They were looking for-" and Camellia couldn't finish her words when she saw the scene in front of her.
