"Can we discuss this inside?" Triston asks for the millionth time.

"No, you must be joking, is this some kind of prank... And may I add that it's not funny!" I replied.

So after he said that his the prince blah, we were in front of his castle/home and I refuse to get out, and I'm not buying this story.

"I'm not pranking you, Jessica!" Triston replies annoyed.

"Can we please get out, this is just not a great place to escape in this awkward situation...." Jane pipes in, clearly uncomfortable.

If it was someone else, I would've laughed.

But this is serious... In a way.

Weird way.

"Do you believe this?" I ask Jane.

"Yeah, I do...." She replies while reaching for the door handle and getting out.

Unbelievable!

Getting out myself I wait for Triston to lead the way.

"Okay.....let's go," Triston says while making his way to the front door, protected by two guards, one on each side.

"Your highness." They both greet bowing their heads.

"Wow, you went through a lot for this prank!" Did I say walking past the guard into....well a huge room?

Like this is watching a movie or even the fanciest mansions, a table in the middle with 12 chairs, gold linings with maroon and silver.

Vases like 4 placed in the middle in a straight line, also gold...real gold?

Nah.

"Do you like it?" Triston asks pulling me out of checking for flaws.

"It's nice...." I replied in a monotone.

"Nice?" Jane asks, while I just nod in response, "this is amazing, living a dream."Jane breathes.

Oh teaming up are we?

Pfffft.

"Well make yourself comfortable... I'm just gonna fetch my parents." Triston says while disappearing out of sight.

Oh, great Jessica even your dreams are messed up, I thought to myself.

"So...." Jane starts, "you don't believe him?"

"No," I replied, picking a chair and sitting down.

"Why?" She asks while doing the same.

"Because.....his a professor... And why hide who you are?"

"I can ask you the same thing, Jessica..." Triston replies.

Sneaky much.

"I want to be normal..." I trailed off laying my head against my elbows.

"Point," Triston replies.

"What?" Lifting myself again, to look at Triston.

"You wanted a normal life right?" He asks while I just reply with a slight nod," so do I..." he finishes off.

"Okay, say I believe you.....why?you have it all...?" I ask hoping to catch him somewhere with a lie.

"I don't want people judging me by my rank, crown, wealth...."

That's exactly how I feel, except for the crown, and wealth, compared to him, I'm broke.

"Okay...so why did you bring us here?"

"Well you need some good company..." Pointing at himself and Jane, "and I need to know you don't faint or what not until the next appointment." He states.

"Why?" I asked.

Yeah, my mind is still slow.

"Because...just," he replies.

Because... Just...

Groaning I lay back down, only to sit up straight when someone clears their throat.

" Dad, this is Jessica and her friend Jane. "Triston says while standing up and gesturing between me and Jane.

"It's nice to meet both of you, please feel free to make yourself at home, I have a lot of work, please excuse me."Triston's dad finishes with a slight nod, making his way out of the room.

Like he didn't even wait for us to greet him back.....rude!

"Excuse me, I gotta make a call quick."

Oh, I'm so screwed.

Standing up I make my way out of the doors, glaring at the two guards that make no move, like are they blinking, breathing....?

I'm so pranking them later.

Scrolling down my contact list I click onto office.

By the third ring someone answers.

"Hallo heartbeat finance, you're speaking with Lilian how may I help you," Lilian speaks without one breathing.

Wow, she's good.

"Hi, Lilian, may I speak with Annabella."

"I'm transferring you, hold one moment please," Lilian replies, friendly.

That's good, she doesn't even ask who's speaking, I may have to fix that later.

"Hallo, Annabella speaking..."

"Hi Annabella, how was the meeting?" I asked.

"Jessica?" She asks, sounding confused.

"Yes, it's me."

"Why didn't you phone my number directly?"

"How was the meeting Annabella?" I asked again annoyed, yeah I respect my employees but if I asked a question, I'm expecting you to answer it.

"Oh sorry it went well, but...." She trails off making me a tad bit pissed off, like get to the freaking point.

"But??!"

"They want to meet you in person before they sign the contract." She finishes off.

I saw that one coming.

"When?" I asked as I well know they would've discussed a date and time.

"Tomorrow at nine-thirty." She replies.

"I'll be there, goodbye."

"Bye."

Cutting the line, I sigh out loud, how the fuck am I supposed to manage college and business, this is gonna blow up, one way or another.

Making my way back, I throw a glance at the guard on my left, releasing a "Boo." But the guard doesn't even breathe, the weirdest thing ever.

Some will find me hilarious, trying to make this guard move an inch, but I'm making myself prepare a prank, and one little thing about me and pranks, I go all out.

Opening the door I see Jane and Triston, or should I say Theo not in sight, so making my way through the puzzle of a home I hear hushed voices, one soft movement after another, I make my way over to the hushed voices.

"You will not."

"If you don't tell her, I will!" I recognize that voice, it's Jane.

"She's not ready, you heard the doctor!" Theo replies barely a whisper.

"It cou-what?"

Footsteps near the entrance reveal Theo, a worried expression all over his futures.

"How long have you been eavesdropping?" He asks.

"Long enough to know you're talking about me!" I replied annoyed.

"That's what I thought, take a seat, you're not gonna like this." He says while gesturing for me to enter.
