Ivander blinked his eyes slowly as the sunlight came in and disturbed him. It seemed like he was in heaven, especially when he opened his eyes wide and saw the figure of a beautiful woman standing with her back to him, was that an angel for him? It would be a satisfying ending if he really was in heaven, considering that the twenty-four years he spent on earth were more loyal to the kingdom.
"Are you awake?" Riana asked, her back to him turned around, realizing that Ivander had woken up and was trying to get up and lift his body while sitting on the bed.
Ivander was shocked to hear that, his eyes couldn't leave the woman—Riana looking at her carefully from head to toe.
"Has your condition improved?" Asked Riana who was now standing right in front of Ivander.
Ivander is still surprised, can angels talk? His eyes blinked several times to determine who the woman in front of him was.
Angel or not?
"Are you okay?" Riana asked again, now she tried to touch Ivander's forehead to check whether his body temperature had dropped, but before Riana's hand could touch his forehead, Ivander had already brushed it off first and pain immediately spread throughout his body, very painful.
"Argh!!" It wasn't Riana's moaning but rather Ivander's. His consciousness was fully restored due to the pain felt throughout his body. It turned out he was still alive but who was this woman?
"Are you okay?" Riana asked worriedly when she saw Ivander grimacing in pain.
"Who are you?" Ivander asked quickly, his dark blue eyes looked at her sharply.
"Riana. My name is Riana, right now you are at my house, last night I found you lying on the street." Riana said explaining the true incident.
"I'm sorry for bringing you to my house." She said again, she lowered her head as if she had made a mistake by bringing the man to her house.
How can someone apologize for the help they have given? It was an answer he never expected. Ivander looked at Riana's face carefully, there couldn't be a good person like that woman, she must have had certain evil intentions.
"Tch." Ivander groaned in annoyance when the pain in his body returned. If it was like this, he couldn't escape from the trap of the evil woman in front of him.
Memories of that afternoon emerged, where he had to fight desperately against a severe fever and also had to deal with traitors who sold illegal weapons to the enemy. If only this fever had not come, perhaps he would have succeeded in defeating the traitors. For seven years he never lost, he was known as the invisible western knight because of his agility so that before the enemy could touch him, he had already finished them off.
"Are you okay?" Riana asked for the umpteenth time. She has still been paying attention to Ivander since earlier.
Ivander turned his head, he looked at Riana again carefully from head to toe, emerald green eyes looked at him worriedly, bright red hair that was slightly curly at the ends dangled beautifully, her body was small and slender but didn't look fragile standing straight in front of him, and a beautiful smile caught his attention, no wonder he thought he was dead because he saw an angel.
The conclusion he came to was that this woman was beautiful, but that was not important to him, but he had to be careful and always be wary of anyone, especially this woman. If he could escape now, Ivander would of course do it but his body refused to do that.

Since Ivander didn't answer her question, Riana was annoyed, she left Ivander alone. At least the man thanked her for saving his life, not just silent and glaring at her.
"I shouldn't have brought him here." Riana said the umpteenth time. Yes, she cursed the man she had saved last night.
Riana stretched her arms up, enjoying the beautiful afternoon atmosphere. She had left Ivander since this morning, she didn't even care if the man was hungry. Riana closed her eyes and enjoyed the evening air with the gentle breeze that carried the typical aroma of spring. Her tiredness from doing activities all day suddenly disappeared when the wind gently blew her face. When her mood improved, Riana was determined to go back in and check on Ivander's condition.
"Ahh." It wasn't Riana's moaning, but someone else's. Yes, Riana accidentally bumped into someone who was none other than Ivander.
"I-I'm sorry." Riana panicked when she realized that she had hit Ivander's body.
"You hit me right in the wound." Ivander groaned while enduring the pain of the cut wound which was still wet.
"Forgive me." Riana said once again, she felt very guilty.
"Hhhh.." Ivander took a deep breath, making Riana raise her head to see the look on Ivander's face.
"I'm hungry. Is there anything I can eat?" he asked.
"R-right, I'll get it." Riana rushed inside followed by Ivander who followed behind.
The atmosphere felt awkward, especially since the two of them didn't know each other, plus their interactions had also been very stiff since earlier.
Riana handed Ivander two slices of bread. "Maybe this will upset your stomach. If you want other food I will make it, but you have to wait." Ivander received the bread and immediately devoured it, he was really hungry!
Seeing Ivander eating heartily, the corners of Riana's lips widened slightly, forming an arc. She approached Ivander and touched his forehead without permission. "You don't have a fever anymore." She said after confirming that Ivander's body temperature had returned to normal.
Ivander was silent, he was surprised by Riana's action just now, which suddenly touched his forehead. His focus was broken, he couldn't enjoy the remaining piece of bread.
"What about your wound?" Riana asked while looking at the wound on Ivander's body which was wrapped in white cloth as a bandage.
Ivander looked at Riana carefully, the woman in front of him was really brave, she treated himself like he was not someone she had just met.
"Actually, who are you, why are there so many wounds on your body?" Riana's green eyes were busy looking at every inch of Ivander's body, this was the first time she had seen someone's body with wounds.
Ivander was still watching the woman who was standing only an inch away warily. Who is this woman?
Realizing that Ivander didn't answer her question, Riana raised her head to look at Ivander. The man in front of her was very tall, she was only as far as the man's chest, jet black hair, tan skin that looked shiny and a pair of dark blue eyes were looking into her eyes, they were staring at each other.
Riana immediately averted her gaze, she turned around and walked away. "I'll make tea, do you like it?"
Ivander just nodded. His eyes were now paying attention to every corner of the room, the slightest thing would be a clue to him.
The kitchen is relatively small in size and does not have many cooking utensils, it seems that this kitchen was only built for cooking simple meals. Ivander couldn't guess who the woman who was preparing the tea was. If this house was in the vicinity of a residential area, it would be clear that she was just an ordinary person, but this house was different! This building can be said to be quite luxurious if look at the carvings and ornaments that decorate the walls, although it is not large, the items inside look expensive.
Is she a wizard?
"Tea for you." Riana handed him a cup of warm tea that she had just made, the sweet and bitter aroma of the tea penetrated his sense of smell.
Instead of immediately accepting it, Ivander looked suspiciously at the tea.
"You don't want to?"
Ivander grabbed the tea cup, he hesitated to take a sip. The thin puffs of smoke from the tea gave off a sweet and bitter aroma that he had smelled before, but this time the aroma was really thick and tempted him who was hungry.
Hopefully there's no poison!
"I don't know you yet, what's your name?" Riana asked.
Ivander put down the cup of tea that he had just taken a small sip of. He turned to Riana and took another sip of the tea which tasted so delicious. He ignored Riana after all, he planned to keep his identity a secret for his safety at this time.
Seeing Ivander who was just silent made Riana annoyed again, she felt stupid with herself, if that day could happen again she wouldn't want to carry the man who was lying weak and helpless and bother treating him.
"If you are healthy, you can leave my house immediately!" Those were the words that Riana could say, in fact she really wanted to swear.
Instead of staying silent with an ungrateful man, Riana would be better off starting her twilight routine, closing all the windows and lighting a fire lamp in the corner of the room. This activity is an activity that he has been working on for one year. Living alone without friends, without servants, or without family in her small house, requires her to be independent.
Riana returned to the kitchen after finishing her work, she still found the man standing with a cup of tea still held in his hand.
"I'm going to take a rest. You can rest in your room too. There's no food tonight, I'm tired and not hungry. If you want to eat something, you can cook whatever is here." That's how Riana ended her conversation with the man this evening. Riana hoped that she really wouldn't be hungry at night.
