Chapter 6

Inside, the once poised young lady yawned and stretched her arms in a very unlady like manner. As if the girl who looks and acts like a goddess outside the central zone is not her.

' Damn, why the hell is this world so tiring? I even have to go to a dark place just to have break!', she laments in her mind as she breathe in the misty scent of the night. Her feet took her to the cliff seperating the northern and southern part of the forest.

The central zone is actually divided into 2 parts, the southern and the northern. The forest is the division between the Black Tortoise Kingdom and the Central Region. The Huang Continent has 5 regions, the Northern Black Tortoise Kingdom, the Southern Vermillion Bird Kingdom, the Eastern Azure Dragon Kingdom, Western White Tiger Kingdom and lastly, the Yellow Dragon, the Central Region. Those kingdoms surrounded the Central Region, but no one can enter the region unless you are invited by the power within, not even the monarchs from the four kingdom.

Di Xueyan took a recliner from her storage ring and situate it at the end of the cliff, overseeing the other cliff from the otherside. She lay her body lazily with a yawn and puts her hands below her head.

' Are you sure you' re ready? ',  her mother's voice reverberates in her mind as she recalled the day she and her brother decided to learn how to cultivate.

After witnessing the battle between her mother and the strange men, her mother decided to unveil parts of the truth about their identity.

' Who would've thought that the face I had for 19 years is fake?', she touch her face as up until now, she can't still believe that her face for 19 years was just a prank.

"Ava, you have to be strong after drinking this potion, are you sure you can handle it?" , her mother verified for the third time.

" I can handle it mama, tss, I'm not young anymore", she arrogantly replied.

' I guess this potion is just like those cleansing pills that I've read before, the protagonists even persevered against the pain, of course I can also do it!', she arrogantly thought while nodding her head, with a triumphant smile, as if she already persevered.

" Really because it really hur - - - -", her mother wasn't able to finish her words when Ava took the vial and drank it enthusiastically.

' Come on pain, let's see how painful you can be.'

Ava's body started to heat up uncomfortably. ' This is it? How disappointing!', she thought while rolling her eyes and smirked

Her smirk remains until she feels like scratching her face because it feels like it was bitten by ants,

A thousand of ants

The arrogance she felt instantly vanished as she realized that her whole body feels like it was bitten by millions of ants.

She gritted her teeth and clenched her jaws. Her brows are already furrowed, determine to never let even a single yelp.

' Fuck! Why do novels made it sound so easy?'

' Heck! I think I officially hate ants now!'

Poor creatures.

She can't take it anymore and started scratching her body, in which was stopped by her mother by binding her hands. She lay limply while rolling in the ground she once stood. She cried silently while laying limply on the ground, cursing the heavens for being so unfair.

' Why do the female protagonists in novels can persist through this kind of torture for an hour! What do I lack for goodness sake!?', she laments while crying like a baby who was wronged by the world.

She seems to forgot that she never let her mother finished talking, there was actually a pill that will help the pain for atleast a half but she was too excited.

She also seems to forgot that those female leads in the novels she read were all 21st century assassins.

And since she can't take it anymore,

She fainted!
